Chapter 361 Such a Perverted Place Interests You
"What a waste! Eleanor, she lives off you, takes the money you work so hard to earn to buy bags, to splurge, to chase after cheaters all over the world, and you just let her bully you without complaint. If it were me, I'd pin her to the ground so hard she couldn't even crawl up."
Eleanor glanced at Thalia. She could see right through her - she was just here to stir up trouble and watch the drama unfold.
Afraid the show wouldn't be exciting enough, the fire not hot enough, she'd love nothing more than to pour gasoline on it, bucket after bucket.
Eleanor didn't want to get a headache from these two women arguing, and even less did she want them fighting in her office, so she pressed the intercom and had someone escort Thalia out.
"I'm not leaving."
"What gives you the right to refuse? This isn't your turf," Elowen glared at Thalia with red-rimmed eyes.
Thalia had no other strengths, but her one strength was having thick skin. What others said only mattered if she wanted to listen - everything else was just nonsense.
"When did I ever say this was my turf?"
"You're not that old, but your brain's pretty muddled. You can't even tell what I said or didn't say, and you want to argue with me? Someone like you is no match for me at all."
Eleanor watched the two of them go back and forth, knowing they wouldn't stop anytime soon. So they won't leave? Fine, she'll leave!
"Look at you, you've made Eleanor leave! Have you no shame? Wouldn't it be nice to just rest at home? Everyone in the company knows what you did last night tanked the stock price, and you still have the nerve to show up here. What, afraid people don't know you're a mess?"
"Believe it or not, if you weren't the Mitchell family heiress, you'd be getting a beating today no matter what."
Thalia saw the elevator doors about to close and stuck out her hand to block them, prying them open.
"Thalia, don't go too far!"
"I got hurt here last night, so I came back today to revisit the scene. That's not too much, is it?"
"Eleanor, I haven't even settled the score with you yet, so don't be too harsh on me!" Thalia leaned lazily against the elevator wall, looking at Eleanor with an innocent expression, blinking her eyes. Even her fake act had a kind of charming beauty.
No wonder she could bewitch a man like William - you needed some real skills to do that.
Good-looking, capable, knows how to act cute - any one of these would be a trump card, and Thalia had them all.
"I'm going downstairs for a meeting. You coming too?"
"I won't get in your way. I'll wait until you're done."
"Thalia! Just say what you want directly."
"I don't want anything!"
"You think I'll believe that?"
Thalia tilted her head. Even wearing a mask with only her eyes showing, her face could still seem seductive.
"Why wouldn't you believe me?"
"Thalia, you never come to me for no reason. Back then, you kept looking for William because you wanted him to handle your lawsuit. Now you're coming to me - so tell me, what do you want?"
"You're wrong." She looked for William because she wanted to trick him into bed.
"Ms. Mitchell, the meeting's starting," the secretary poked his head out from the conference room as the two were still at a standoff.
Eleanor didn't have time to deal with her and left directly.
"Keep an eye on her, don't let Thalia and Elowen get into a fight." Eleanor reminded the secretary before entering the conference room.
The secretary listened, somewhat embarrassed. He really didn't have the ability to handle this. With Thalia's personality, if she wanted to fight someone, who could stop her?
"Ms. Smith, let me take you to the break room."
"What's so great about sitting in the break room?"
"How about you give me a tour of the company?"
The secretary thought about it - that works. As long as Thalia doesn't cause any trouble, anywhere is fine!
As soon as they got in the elevator, Thalia quickly pressed the button for the 17th floor. The secretary's heart skipped a beat. "Ms. Smith?"
Thalia blinked at him. "What's wrong?"
"Didn't you say you'd show me around? I want to revisit old places. Is that not okay?"
"Fine!"
Who could refuse her request?
The 17th floor at the Mitchell Group was the sales department. After last night's incident, Eleanor personally held a meeting with security, telling them to keep quiet and not leak a single word to outsiders, or face the consequences.
So the entire sales department, except for the vice president's office, was business as usual.
As soon as Thalia walked in, someone came out and almost bumped into her. If she hadn't been quick to dodge to the side, they probably would have collided.
"Watch where you're going."
"I... I'm sorry." The person stammered, frightened.
"Why so fierce? It's fine, a bump is just a bump." Thalia comforted them with a smile.
The other person looked at her with a twitching mouth, having a hard time expressing themselves.
Thalia observed everything with a smile. Just when the person behind her thought it was over, she pushed open the door to the vice president's office.
Inside, it still maintained last night's chaos, not yet cleaned up.
"Ms. Smith, you can't go in there."
"I'm already in, and you're telling me I can't enter. Do you have a problem with me?"
"Am I not pretty enough, or am I not gentle enough?" Thalia blinked her round eyes, her sweet tone combined with seductive eyes - it was clearly flirting.
"Neither... neither," he stammered, not daring to look at Thalia. Was she really using her beauty on him in this situation?
The number one beauty in Emerald City's charm offensive - was he allowed to see this?
"Well then, I'm so nice. If I wanted to go somewhere else, others would open their doors to welcome me!"
The man's mouth twitched.
He watched Thalia move around the room, then her gaze fell on that painting.
Just as she was about to reach out and lift it.
"Thalia,"
"Ms. Mitchell!" The secretary looked at Eleanor like she was his savior.
Finally, she's here. If she hadn't come, he couldn't have held out much longer. Thalia didn't play by normal rules at all - her mind wasn't normal.
Eleanor glanced at the secretary and knew he was no match for Thalia. "You go out."
"Wait by the door."
"What are you doing here? Want to see the place where you almost died?" Eleanor asked.
Thalia replied, "That's what you think? Why don't you give me a tour?"
Eleanor knew Thalia came here for this exact reason, so without wasting words, she opened the mechanism directly. When the dark doorway appeared before them, Thalia froze for a moment.
"There, you see it. You were lucky. If you'd been dragged into this place last night, no one would have found you."
"Where does it lead?"
"Emergency exit."
"Doesn't the emergency exit go to the underground parking?"
"The Mitchell Group building has a scissor design. The emergency exits won't let you run into each other either."
Thalia felt a chill down her spine. "Creepy."
"Exactly. Such a creepy place, and you're still interested. Tell me, aren't you even creepier?"
Thalia was speechless.
