Chapter 504 William Buried His Head in Her Neck and Laughed Softly
“Still not leaving?” William stood at the doorway, his tall, straight figure behind Thalia.
His cool eyes fixed on the person slumped on the sofa.
Amara had been just about to sit down, but the moment she heard William’s voice, her body froze awkwardly in mid-motion.
Daniel, being sensible, pulled her. "Let's go, there's no place for you here."
"Why?" Amara frowned in confusion.
"What do you mean by why? Can't you tell the couple doesn't want you here?"
Amara was speechless.
The moment the room emptied, Thalia instinctively turned as if she were about to leave as well, but William grabbed her arm and glanced at her. "Where are you going?"
"Didn't you tell us to leave?"
"Thalia, playing dumb?"
Thalia awkwardly rubbed the tip of her nose.
Her eyes wandered around the ninth floor of the cruise ship. Now she finally understood why it was called a luxury cruise. The entire ninth floor was practically a private penthouse—complete with a private cinema, a master bedroom, a spa room, a kitchen, and even a small lounge area. Everything one could possibly imagine was here.
William casually removed his suit jacket and walked over to the wine cabinet, pouring two glasses of red wine.
"Did you prepare a surprise for me?" Thalia took the glass, blinking at him.
Instead of answering, William simply said,
“Give me your hand.”
Thalia obediently stretched it out. But her mouth, as usual, refused to stay quiet.
"What surprise? Are you going to fill this place with cash for me?"
"Or maybe… throw a party full of handsome men? After looking at ugly faces all night, I really need something beautiful to cleanse my soul."
"If you can accept that, I promise I'll only look, not touch... Ah!"
Thalia's rambling was giving William a headache. He turned around, scooped her up with one hand under her butt.
Instinctively, Thalia wrapped her legs around him like an octopus.
"What are you doing?"
"Do you want to?"
"That’s not the point. The question is whether you can or not."
William laughed at this, squeezing her butt hard. "So based on your experience, can I or can't I?"
"How would I know! Even machines break down sometimes. What if..."
"Ah! Why are you pinching me?"
"What if what?"
"Keep talking," William stared at her coldly.
Seeing his expression change, Thalia quickly backtracked. "William, you will never fail."
William's lips curved slightly, suppressing a smile. He held Thalia, took the wine glass from her hand, and set it on a nearby table. "Push the door open."
"Tell me what's inside first."
"You'll see when you open it!"
"Is it too late to make a wish to God now?"
"I'm more useful than God. Keep me happy, and I'll give you my heart," William said, looking down at Thalia, his eyes signaling her to open the door.
Thalia reached out and pushed the door open.
The entire room before her was filled with an endless sea of flowers. Soft pink and white blossoms covered the floor, stretching all the way to the far end of the room. Even the ceiling was decorated with cascading petals, creating the illusion of standing inside a dreamlike garden.
Still in William's arms with her arms around his neck, Thalia stared at the scene before her, too shocked to speak for a long moment. Just as she finally gathered her thoughts to say something, she noticed snowflakes starting to fall in the huge room.
"It's snowing?"
“Do you like it?” William asked quietly.
Thalia patted William's shoulder. "Put me down."
William set her down and watched as Thalia walked deeper into the room in her nude heels, all the way to the end. She even pushed open the glass door, only to discover that this lavish floral display extended all the way to the deck, where snowflakes were falling too.
"It's snowing?"
"Emerald City hasn't had snow in years, don't overthink it."
"Then what is this?" Down below on the cruise deck, someone chatting suddenly noticed white flakes drifting from above. They reached out and caught one.
The person beside them craned their neck to look. "If it were real snow, it would melt as soon as it hit your hand. This is obviously artificial snow."
Hearing this, the person stretched their neck to look up, and sure enough, could vaguely see artificial snow falling on the upper deck.
"Is there some event upstairs we don't know about?"
"Didn't they say the top floor is private space?"
"Mr. Brown's?"
"Should be."
"What kind of top-tier romance is this? A luxury cruise on the river, artificial snow—is this a movie?"
Clearly, they weren't the only ones who noticed the artificial snow above.
The deck gradually filled with people, all wanting to see what was happening above.
Meanwhile, on the top floor, Thalia was still immersed in it all, unaware of what was happening below.
"This is your surprise?"
"Do you like it?"
Thalia floated over to William like a butterfly, hooking his arm and acting cute. "If I say I don't like it, will there be another surprise?"
William had never feared Thalia arguing with him. But whenever she acted cute like this, he felt completely defenseless.
"There's more!" William nodded.
"What else?" Thalia's eyes lit up immediately.
At least William never used the excuse that she “already had everything.”
He has never done that.
Thinking of that jerk Walter, whenever a holiday came around, Walter would simply say: Buy whatever you want. Then he would add that she already had everything, so he didn’t know what to give.
"Go inside." William's gaze locked onto Thalia like eyes from the abyss, almost pulling her in.
The moment they stepped inside again, he gently pressed her against the glass window. Her wrists were lifted above her head as he leaned down and kissed her. With one hand, he loosened his tie and casually tossed it into the sea of flowers.
His technique was so smooth, as if he'd rehearsed it many times. By the time they reached the bed, their clothes were completely off.
Thalia was surprised by William's skill, breathing unevenly, her face flushed. "Where did you learn this?"
"From your computer."
Thalia's mind went blank. "Impossible, my computer has a password."
William buried his face in her neck and chuckled. "Very simple."
"William..."
As Thalia pushed against him, William's waist sank slightly, turning her angry words into broken gasps.
