Chapter 503 You Still Know She Is My Woman?
Seeing the situation, Thalia grabbed his tie and twisted it around her hand, pulling it even tighter, looking like she'd definitely drag him down with her if she fell to her death.
"Mr. Jimenez, don't forget - your wife, your grandparents are all on this ship. If you kill me, those three won't escape either. Four for one, I'd say that's a pretty good deal for me."
"Oh, wait, I'll keep your wife alive. I heard you stole your brother's girlfriend and made her your wife. If you die, I'll keep her around who knows, maybe those two can pick up where they left off."
"I'm different from you. You tear lovers apart, but I love playing matchmaker. I most especially enjoy bringing together people who've been separated for years."
"When you're dead, your wife and your brother might even have kids together in a few years."
Hearing this, Sean's temple veins bulged. His fingers gripping her shoulder tightened even more as he glared at her through gritted teeth. "Shut up."
"Look behind you."
"See who's standing there?"
Sean turned around to see William in a black suit, standing by the railing on the other side, cigarette in one hand, other hand in his pocket, his eagle-like, tiger-fierce gaze fixed on him, that look alone could cut him to pieces.
And Bella stood on the steps, trembling.
William stood behind her, looking like he could kick her down the stairs any second.
That oppressive presence made it very hard to breathe.
"Mr. Jimenez, do you want to play?"
"Mr. Brown isn't like you, he never goes easy on women, he carries out his action directly."
Daniel leaned against the railing, standing to the side, occasionally swirling a glass of red wine in his hand.
"It'd be such a shame if Bella died. Such a beautiful girl."
Sean's gaze fell on the trembling Bella, who had apparently just been suddenly dragged out by William, still in shock, her hair disheveled.
"Poor girl, her husband just cheated on her, and now she has to take the fall for him."
With just a few words, Daniel's mouth made Sean soften.
His hand gripping Thalia's shoulder loosened slightly.
Thalia's body was pulled up a bit.
Seeing this, Daniel's mischievous side emerged. "Ms. Smith won't let your wife off easy either."
Hearing this, Sean pushed Thalia's shoulder back down.
Thalia thought, 'Damn it! I'm definitely going to kill Daniel later.'
"But everyone in Emerald City knows Ms. Smith is all about looks. Your wife is so beautiful, she'll definitely let her off the hook."
Sean's hand loosened a few more notches.
Thalia's back was nearly breaking from this man's up and down movements.
The person she most wanted to kill today was originally Sean, but now it had changed to Daniel.
Sean grabbed Thalia's arm and brought her before William.
The man's cigarette was half-finished, his narrowed eyes radiating murderous intent.
"Mr. Brown, your woman."
"Mr. Jimenez, you still know she's my woman?"
"Can't let me be the only one trending, right? Since we're all family here, might as well share the good fortune."
The news about William and Thalia would definitely be more interesting than his prostitution scandal. Which one the media would prefer was obvious.
William didn't speak, just nodded, thinking to himself that the man had some skill.
The man raised his chin and stepped back.
Seeing this, Sean let go of Thalia's arm and quickly moved forward to grab Bella, his movements swift to prevent any unexpected changes.
But what he didn't expect was William lifting his suit-pants-clad leg and landing it on his lower back. He lost his balance, and though he had just grabbed Bella and wanted to let her go, it was already too late.
In an instant, the couple tumbled down the stairs together.
And the instigator, from start to finish, remained as noble as a snow lotus, without uttering a single extra word.
The epitome of ruthless action, few words.
Screams erupted continuously at the scene.
"Does this count as Mr. Brown admitting his relationship with Thalia?"
"If they weren't involved, would he protect her like that?"
"Holy shit, Thalia is so lucky? Lost one billionaire dad, got another billionaire husband. I'm jealous."
"A power couple, if this is real, how many people will be heartbroken and unable to sleep? Sure enough, there's no man in all of Emerald City that Ms. Smith can't get."
"If Scarlett finds out, won't she be furious?"
"Did she come today?"
"Probably not! Didn't she offend Mr. Brown?"
On the steps, William calmly smoked, Thalia standing beside him. The handsome man and beautiful woman, equally poised, looked down at the couple who had rolled to the bottom of the stairs, the mockery in their eyes undiminished.
"Mr. Jimenez, do you think you haven't embarrassed yourself enough?"
Someone in the crowd sneered. "If I were you, I'd go back to my room and hide right now."
"He's from Regal City, you know! So high-class."
The jeering from below rose and fell. Sean had no time to care. The moment he got up from the ground, his first thought was to check on Bella. His panicked manner didn't seem fake - it was as if Bella was a woman he'd loved deeply for years.
"Why does it look like Sean really cares about Bella?"
"A normal man who doesn't love a woman would focus on himself first in this situation, but Sean's actions tonight clearly show he cares about Bella."
"Do you think he loves Bella?" Amara asked.
Thalia responded casually, "Maybe."
"If he really loved and respected someone, he should get them through legal means, not use illegal methods to force them into marriage. That isn't love - it's twisted." Thalia's tone was firm when commenting on Sean today.
Little did she know that this kind of twisted, abnormal love would one day happen to her.
Behind her, William stubbed out his cigarette on the trash can, hearing Thalia's words, his steps paused.
Amara walked a couple of steps and noticed he hadn't followed. She looked back. "William, what's wrong?"
"Nothing." William followed along. The elevator went straight to the ninth floor. As soon as she pushed open the door, Thalia saw Daniel sitting in the spacious suite's living room with his legs crossed, drinking coffee.
Seeing him, Thalia crooked her finger. "Come here."
"I'm your lifesaver, Ms. Smith."
"Lifesaver? More like you couldn't wait for me to die faster."
