"Send it to me, let me see," Thalia still didn't believe it. She hadn't been photographed for almost a year, and now she gets caught on a trip to Regal City?
Evelyn took out her phone, snapped a photo, and sent it to Thalia.
Thalia zoomed in and looked at it over a dozen times. "This—you can't tell it's me, right? You can't even see my face!"
"I don't know if others can tell, but I can definitely recognize you."
"Besides, I might not know what you wore out today, but some of your fans should know, right? Your Mrs. Brown identity is about to be exposed!"
"Stop gloating over there. Hold on, William's mom is calling."
Before Thalia could figure out what was going on, Harper's call came through.
She steadied her emotions and greeted Harper.
"Thalia, where are you? Are you busy?"
Before Thalia could respond, Amara impatiently chimed in from the background. "Just ask her directly if she's in Regal City, if she's with William, if she's the rumored girlfriend. Why beat around the bush?"
"Shut up," Harper snapped at her. Amara pursed her lips and obediently went quiet.
"It's me."
"Good that it's you." Harper's heart settled after getting Thalia's answer.
What's good about it? Nothing good at all.
She seriously suspected William had arranged all of this.
"Why are you asking Thalia so carefully? You should just ask William directly."
"You think I don't want to? I can't even get through to him."
Amara was speechless.

"Finn, where's William?"
"Mr. Brown is in a meeting at the Regal City branch!"
"Let him take the call." Thalia had called William dozens of times, but he wouldn't pick up.
She had no choice but to contact Finn.
"Mr. Brown just started the meeting. I don't dare go in."
"Give me the address, I'll come myself."
Hearing this, Isla got scared and tugged at her sleeve. "Thalia, if you go and get photographed, it'll be confirmed."
Thalia felt a lump of frustration stuck in her chest, almost choking her.
"Hanging up now." Finn held his phone, trembling as he glanced at William. What meeting? He was drinking coffee in his office!
The head of the Regal City branch was waiting outside the door, not even let in yet.
"Mr. Brown, if Mrs. Brown finds out later, will she kill me?"
"No, she doesn't do illegal things," William said calmly.
Finn breathed a huge sigh of relief, but before he could fully exhale, William added, "At most she'll cripple you."
Finn was speechless.
Living the rest of his life paralyzed was worse than being killed!
"Stop worrying. Mr. Brown will probably handle it when he's done. Layla just said she'll redirect attention to someone else. Don't worry, no one will think it's you."
"But what if? What if my secret marriage to William gets exposed?"
Isla was very calm, picking out a few of Thalia's favorite dishes from the meal the hotel staff had delivered. "Then it's fine. Everyone will just say you're amazing—your late husband was the richest man, and now you've got a business tycoon as your new husband. Everyone envies your life."
"You're a lucky charm. Whoever gets you strikes it rich."
Thalia slapped her forehead, looking frustrated. "With so many people there, why did I have to go and get close to him?"
"If you got close to someone else, that would be real trouble! With Mr. Brown right there, you'd dare get cozy with someone else?"
"Eat something. Didn't you say you were going out?"
Meanwhile, Layla was checking Selene's schedule.
Finding out she was in Regal City, she muttered something about how lucky Thalia was.
Even God was helping her.
"Half of Emerald City's elite went to Regal City for the Mitchell family and the Carter family wedding. Selene is probably there for that too."
"Go buy some press coverage."
"Throwing Mr. Brown under the bus like this, aren't you afraid he'll come after us later?" Only a few people in the company knew about Thalia and William's secret marriage.
Hearing this question, Layla scoffed. "Afraid of him?"
She had Thalia backing her.
The person in front of her was dumbfounded.
