Chapter 419 Thalia Protects Her Husband with Dominance
They had originally come to negotiate today, and William's actions clearly showed he was supporting Thalia.
Since he was willing to help, she naturally had to accept it. This would make things go more smoothly later.
William's support wasn't something everyone could get.
"Thalia, I've heard for a while that you have quite a relationship with Mr. Brown. Looks like it's true."
"Yeah, how many people get to drink wine sent by Mr. Brown? We're lucky to have Thalia here today."
Thalia watched everyone exchange pleasantries, lowered her head, and smiled. She certainly wasn't stupid enough to deny it. At a time like this, she'd be happy if these people thought she had a special relationship with William.
At least it might save her from drinking too much at the table tonight.
The atmosphere on Thalia's side wasn't nearly as harmonious as William's - after all, she was the one asking for favors, while William was always the one being asked.
After a few rounds of drinks, Thalia excused herself to go to the restroom.
Just as she turned the corner heading for the bathroom, someone came out.
Both stepped back.
Their questions came out at the same time.
"How many cigarettes have you smoked?"
"How much have you had to drink?"
Thalia didn't bother arguing over such small matters and answered honestly. "Two or three glasses."
"Someone else's smoke." William followed Thalia's lead in answering, then lowered his head to look at her, his tall, handsome shadow falling over her.
"Talking business?"
"Trying to get a lead role in a movie."
William took a short drag on his cigarette and laughed. "Thalia, if you weren't in a secret marriage and used your position as Mrs. Brown, whatever you wanted would be delivered to you. Will you have to kiss up to people over drinks?''
"William, anyone I rely on in this life dies early - look at my dad." Thalia looked up at him, her tipsy face flushed with pink, looking quite tempting.
William's mind flashed back to last night's scene in the bathtub, a tingle running down his spine.
His head was full of sexual desire. His possessiveness toward Thalia wasn't just about conquering her mentally, but physically too.
"I'm not afraid."
"Mr. Brown." Just as Thalia was about to say something, a Celestia Group executive, worried that something had happened when William hadn't returned to the private room for so long, came looking for him.
About to enter the restroom, he heard William talking with a woman.
He hadn't heard the first part, only the last sentence.
Not wanting to interrupt William's business, he was about to leave when he saw people coming out of other private rooms. He couldn't help but call out - a warning of sorts.
Thalia, hearing the sound, went into the restroom.
Close to ten o'clock, the dinner party ended.
As Thalia was preparing to see people out, the director called. She looked at everyone apologetically.
"Take your call, Layla can see us down."
Thalia smiled and nodded. The crew was calling to let her know tomorrow's filming location had changed.
Thalia hung up and opened the private room door to leave, just in time to see William being escorted out by a group of people, right in front of her.
Thalia waved her phone, thinking about how to approach him without being noticed.
Suddenly, an elderly woman in a long dress emerged from a corner and slapped William across the face.
Instantly, the entire hallway went silent.
William's head snapped to the side, a few strands falling loose from his neatly combed hair.
As if in disbelief, the man slowly raised his eyes, burning with restrained fury.
Before he could react, a familiar custom perfume scent wafted by, followed immediately by a crisp slapping sound.
Eileen had just finished hitting him and hadn't had time to gloat when Thalia backhanded her with a slap.
Her thin figure stood in front of William, voice strong and carrying a hint of menace. "He doesn't hit women. I do."
In that moment, William and the other executives all felt Thalia had an incredible presence, like someone with real power.
She looked strong, commanding respect.
In the restaurant hallway, perhaps because people from the next private room had just finished eating and left, cleaning supplies were placed by the door. Thalia grabbed a broom handle and pulled out the stick.
"In all my years, this is the first time I've seen someone rush in uninvited to hit people. I think you have a death wish." As Thalia finished speaking, she raised her hand and brought the stick down on Eileen's arm, but she dodged.
It hit the wall with a crack, breaking the stick in two.
Seeing this, Eileen felt a chill run through her. "Thalia, the Jimenez family's business has nothing to do with you."
"The Jimenez family's mess has nothing to do with me, of course, but Mr. Brown is someone I like."
"You hit Mr. Brown without asking my opinion first?"
Thalia threw down the stick, tossed aside her bag and phone, and strode toward Eileen, grabbing her shoulders and pushing her toward the window until half her body was hanging outside in mid-air.
"You dare act so recklessly? I've seen plenty of stubborn old fools like you. At your age and still won't admit defeat, still think this world belongs to you. What, haven't you realized yet that times have changed and you don't have many chances left?"
"You haven't learned much about being a decent person, but you've picked up plenty of dirty tricks."
"Don't you see whose territory this is? Is this the kind of place where you get to throw a fit?"
As Thalia spoke, she released her grip. Eileen grasped at air and nearly fell.
Just as her lower back hit the windowsill and she was about to flip over, Thalia grabbed her.
Eileen was so frightened she nearly had a heart attack.
"At your age, falling from the second floor could kill you. You believe me?"
"Thalia, kill me and your life is over. You believe that?"
Thalia used all her strength to pull Eileen back from the windowsill, the force so great she flung her straight into the wall.
The people beside Eileen tried to help her up, but Finn held them back.
"Of course I won't kill you - someone like you isn't worth it!" Thalia raised her hand and delivered another slap. "Before you go after William again, think carefully - mess with me, and see how many lives you have."
Eileen had come to settle scores with William, but before she could even speak, Thalia had given her a thorough beating.
..........
Bang - The car door had just closed when William, not even having time to raise the partition, cupped Thalia's face in both hands and pulled her close, kissing her fiercely, his tongue exploring every inch of territory.
His desire was so high it was about to explode.
He held Thalia, wanting nothing more than to meld her into his very bones.
The urge to possess her, to penetrate her, had never been so urgent.
Thalia pushed William away, breathing hard as she asked him, "Why didn't you fight back?"
