Chapter 367 Does Your Waist Hurt Or Your Mouth?
"Thalia, you only dare to seduce me in places like this where I can't let loose," William pulled her hand off his neck and stuffed it under the blanket.
"What's wrong?"
"Your hands are colder than your heart."
Thalia protested, "I'm warm everywhere, stop making things up."
William couldn't be bothered to argue with her and lifted the other side of the blanket to get into bed. "Go to sleep."
"I..."
"If you've got the guts, try seducing me back at Mistwood Hill. I'll show you what it means to not be able to get out of bed."
Thalia backed down. She only dared to flirt with him at times like this.
If she really had to seduce him at Mistwood Hill, just thinking about it made her legs weak.
"Are you sleeping or not?"
"Yes!" Thalia admitted defeat.
At times like this, it was obvious she shouldn't argue with the man in front of her.
"I have one more question before bed!"
"Go ahead."
"Instead of sleeping in the middle of the night, you climbed over the wall to come here - was it because you missed me?"
William didn't say anything. Thalia got excited.
The more he didn't want to talk, the more energized she became. She rolled over and poked William's waist. "Was it?"
"Say something, why are you playing dumb!"
"William."
"William."
"William." This woman - the more he didn't want to answer a question, the more she had to ask. The more he didn't want to do something, the more she had to make him do it.
Grinding him down was her hobby.
Trampling on people was also her hobby.
"Honey..."
William pressed Thalia's shoulder and pushed her down on the bed. As the man climbed on top, he warned her through gritted teeth, "Remember to keep your voice down later."
"My waist hurts." Thalia chickened out. Why did she have to provoke William in the middle of the night instead of sleeping? Now she'd gotten herself into trouble.
"I'm the one doing the work, why would your back hurt?"
"It really hurts!"
"Deal with it," William said tersely.
"Please..." Thalia was all about knowing when to bend.
"Your waist hurts - does your mouth hurt?" William asked coldly.
Thalia was speechless. Did William mean what she thought he meant?
Was she reading too much into it?
Probably! A man like William wouldn't say such dirty things, right?
Had she always thought of him as too pure?
Was this man just like those businessmen out there who liked to play different games?
"Have you been doing something behind my back?" Thalia asked.
"What have I been doing behind your back?" William asked back.
"I..."
"Alright, shut up. Listening to you talk gives me a headache."
"Two choices - either shut up and sleep, or we do the real thing."
"I choose the former," Thalia said. Hesitating even one second would be disrespectful to herself.
...
"Mr. Jimenez, we didn't send anyone to follow Ms. Smith!" Stefan voiced his confusion, looking at Steven with a puzzled expression.
Steven sat under the eaves holding a cup of tea, rubbing his temples. "If it's not us, naturally it's someone else."
"You mean..." Was this Eileen's doing?
Stefan was shocked.
Hadn't Eileen stopped getting involved in these matters? Why would she reach her hand over to William's side this time?
"It's normal for her to worry. After all, William isn't an ordinary person. If he goes to Regal City, he might very well take over the Jimenez family. Old Eileen naturally has to make backup plans for the sake of the children."
"Then we..." Stefan hesitated, finding it hard to say certain things. After all, Eileen was the lady of the Jimenez family, and he was just a servant of the Jimenez family. At a time like this, speaking ill of Eileen in front of Steven seemed somewhat inappropriate.
"No need to say more," Steven raised his hand to stop Stefan.
Stefan understood - Steven had known about this all along!
Eileen was single-mindedly paving the way for her eldest grandson. Even Michael would be looked down upon when he came around her, to the point where she found her own family annoying. What's more, William was an outsider, and his biological mother wasn't even Eileen's biological daughter. This kind of relationship, for Eileen, was full of crisis. She wished she could uproot William right now, immediately.
The Jimenezes only hoped William could stand up to his birth mother, but didn't want him to get any benefit from the Jimenez family.
"You haven't seen him at all recently?"
"No!"
"Didn't they say he's been close to that Thalia? Haven't made contact?" Eileen found it puzzling. Given the Jimenez family's status in Regal City, this kind of thing should be easy to resolve. But now they'd been in Emerald City for half a month and hadn't even seen him.
"Hard to say. Let's sleep first. Whatever it is, we'll talk tomorrow."
Eileen watched him lie down, looking irritated.
The next day, Thalia finished filming relatively early and made dinner plans with Grace. Grace ordered and handed the menu to Thalia.
"The security guard in the courtyard said last night he saw someone climbing through your window in the middle of the night. William?"
Thalia played dumb. "I don't know! I didn't see anyone."
Grace couldn't be bothered to call her out. If she didn't want to talk about it, fine! Everyone's been through that age.
"Last time you were telling me gossip about the Jimenez family and stopped halfway. You shouldn't have a meeting today, right?"
Grace slowly put down the cup she was holding. "So you asked me to dinner just to hear gossip?"
"Nonsense, do I need a reason or excuse to ask you to dinner?"
"Then don't ask about gossip today." Grace seriously drank her water, blocking all of Thalia's escape routes, leaving her choking on her words.
"Fine, I'm going to the restroom." She put on her hat, got up, and opened the private room door to head to the restroom. As soon as she stepped out, she ran into an elderly lady in a plain-colored long dress with an elegant air standing at the door.
This person was standing right at the private room entrance. Thalia had barely stepped half a foot out when she bumped into her, giving the feeling that this person had been waiting for her.
"Young lady, you're not that old, but your eyesight isn't very good."
Thalia raised an eyebrow. What the hell?
Was she insulting her?
"Madam, you're so old, yet you haven't learned proper manners?"
"Please look carefully - you're standing right at someone's private room door. No matter who opens the door, you're blocking the way."
The restaurant manager heard the commotion outside and came out of a private room, apologizing repeatedly, "Sorry, my apologies. I was helping to clean the private room next door and asked this lady to wait at the door."
"If she needs to wait, she should wait at the next private room's door!" Thalia shot back.
The manager looked troubled, trying to think of how to explain.
"Thalia, forget it..."
