Chapter 125 Are You Seducing Me?
As soon as Thalia finished asking, William took off his shirt and casually tossed it by the entrance. With his bare torso, he pulled her into his arms, his other hand moving to the belt at his waist.
He was recreating that photo of the male singer from the bar.
She must have done good deeds in her life to deserve this.
To be seduced by William - she must have accumulated some serious good karma.
Thalia's heart was about to jump out of her chest.
She stared at William blankly, not knowing where to put her hands.
Her clear eyes went dull - she never expected William to have such a wild side!
Seeing Thalia freeze up, William's husky voice brushed against her ear: "Not going to touch?"
"Are you trying to seduce me?" Thalia stammered.
In the dim environment, the atmosphere was charged, ready to ignite at any moment.
Thalia glanced at William's abs, swallowed hard, then suddenly hooked her arms around his neck and jumped up, wrapping her legs around William's lean waist...
...
"What do you think William's deal is?" At the top floor of Aurora Tower, Evelyn opened a bottle of water and vented to Daniel about this whole thing.
Before she could fully express her emotions, Daniel sat there like an idiot, staring at her in shock.
He gaped for a long time without managing a complete sentence.
"What did you just say?"
Evelyn glared at him impatiently: "Did I just waste my breath this whole time?"
Daniel processed her words, thinking for a moment before speaking: "You're saying William and Thalia got married?"
"You didn't know? Mr. Wilson, is your relationship with William really as good as you claim?"
Evelyn was feeling down!
But seeing Daniel even more down than her instantly lifted her spirits.
"When?"
"Last night."
"Why?" Daniel asked.
"Go ask Mr. Brown yourself!" Evelyn glared at him, probably thinking that if William was a bad guy, then none of his friends were any good either.
Daniel pondered for a long time without figuring it out.
Seeing him sitting there in a daze, Evelyn continued to twist the knife: "Daniel, you're pathetic! Mr. Brown probably never even considered you a real friend, otherwise how could he not tell you about something as big as getting married?"
"So sad."
"Shut up." Daniel knew she didn't mean well and shot back directly.
Evelyn picked up her water and took a sip. She'd come here feeling down, but seeing someone even more miserable than herself somehow made her feel much better.
"Come on, I'll treat you to a late-night snack," Evelyn said with a smile, hooking the dejected Daniel and heading toward a restaurant near Aurora Tower.
Emerald City was a financial hub, but its appeal was so strong that people from all over the country kept flooding in under various identities.
Students, businesspeople, tourists... and so on.
Not far from Aurora Tower was Emerald City's famous food district, which featured all kinds of specialty cuisines.
Evelyn stood in a restaurant ordering food, looking around and settling her gaze on the courtyard: "Sit outside?"
Daniel kept a straight face and said nothing, still absorbed in his feelings about William getting married.
"Why are you acting like you just got dumped over William getting married?"
Daniel shot her a look: "Like you're doing any better?"
"I'm doing great! William is just..."
Evelyn's words stopped abruptly.
Daniel followed her gaze.
He immediately spotted Emma and Walter sitting not far from them.
He raised an eyebrow - what a coincidence.
"Who's that guy with Emma?"
"Andrew."
"The one she almost killed Thalia over?"
Evelyn pressed her lips together: "Your memory has some unique focal points."
That incident had caused quite a stir back then, becoming gossip fodder in Emerald City circles for a while. How could anyone not know about it?
If Emma had actually killed Thalia back then, who knows whether Emma or Andrew would have gone down in history.
Evelyn took out her phone, snapped a photo, and sent it to Thalia.
...
At Golden Valley, Thalia lay lazily on the sofa, covered with a blanket, watching William in his bathrobe pouring water by the sideboard.
William's lean waistline and perfect abs were poison that drove her crazy with desire.
William was exactly as Angelina had described - a secretly wild guy, calculating, who had everything once he took his clothes off.
The only light in the living room was from the sideboard lamp. William felt Thalia's burning gaze, braced his hands on the counter, lowered his head and turned to look at her.
Their eyes met, and Thalia awkwardly looked away.
Caught staring - embarrassing.
As soon as Thalia's gaze shifted, she spotted white liquid residue on the other end of the sofa, and her face heated up.
Adult battles were truly brutal.
Thalia's slender arm hung down casually, her long fingers barely touching the carpet, playing with the carpet fibers to ease her embarrassment.
Suddenly, something wet licked her, startling her into pulling her hand back.
She poked her head over to look and saw a cat crouching by her feet.
"You have a cat?"
William came over with a glass of water and handed it to her: "Amara's."
Thalia lay lazily on the sofa, completely drained of energy, looking at the glass William held out to her without moving for a long moment.
Her gaze at William grew increasingly unfriendly.
William moved - how could he let the princess do something as exhausting as drinking water herself?
William sat down, his long arm reaching around Thalia's waist to lift her up, bringing the glass to her lips.
Only then did Thalia open her mouth to drink.
"Mrs. Brown, are you just high-maintenance or actually disabled?"
Thalia leaned forward, wiping the water from her lips on William's shoulder.
"Why is Amara's cat at your place?"
"Her mom's allergic to cat hair, can't keep it."
Thalia lost interest. She was just that indifferent - she couldn't get interested in things that had nothing to do with her.
As Thalia lay back down, her gaze fell somewhere it shouldn't. She nudged William's waist with her knee: "Wipe it."
William set down his glass and pulled out a tissue, preparing to lift the blanket off Thalia.
"What are you doing?"
"Didn't you say wipe it?"
Thalia tightened her grip on his arm - this bad man...
"The sofa," Thalia said, blushing with embarrassment.
William followed her gaze and finally understood what she meant.
The battle tonight had indeed been intense.
"Can't wipe it off, I'll have someone come clean it another day."
"It's all your fault."
"My fault for what?" William was confused.
"I told you to stop but you wouldn't, like some starving ghost."
"Forty-two days," William said, his eyes deep as he looked at her, the numbers rolling off his tongue, his gaze like the deep sea.
Thalia didn't catch on: "What?"
"You made me starve for forty-two days."
