Vic

Victoria’s POV

He knows where she lives, he found my mother. I didn’t expect it so be soon, he told me where she is. She changed her name, she is no longer Amanda Sanchez, she bares the name Celine Rodriguez.

My mother is happily married to another man, they have no children, i expected her to have a kid or two but she didn’t which made me think maybe she never wanted kids, a lot of what ifs run through my head.

What if she never wanted a child.

What if Dad forced her into having a child? I don’t want to be unwanted; I don’t want to know if she never loved me but I can’t keep living my life with these thoughts.

Just like Dean said this morning, rip off the bandage. I need to get over with it. I met dad yesterday, he is getting better, I informed him about my new café, just like I expected he loves the idea.

He is finally happy, I can’t let him know about her, it will only hurt him more.

“I don’t know.” I whisper, I told myself I won’t cry but seeing her pictures, she looked a lot different from the pictures I had of her in the house, she dyed her natural blonde hair.

It made me feel like she didn’t want to be remember her past life.

“What if she says something about dad.” I tell Kelvin.

“You know your father, you would be a fool to trust her.” Kelvin says and I nod.

I can’t believe she has been living in the same city as us but we never met her, she lived a hour away from here.

“You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.” He says.

“It’s something I have to do, no matter how nervous I am, If I don’t do this I think I will regret it for my whole life.”

I don’t want to keep living with the thought of maybe mom loved me, maybe she didn’t. I want to know the truth, I don’t know how much it will hurt me but fuck.

I hold his hand tightly.

“Are you sure I don’t have to come with you?.”

“I want to do it alone.” I whisper and he nods.

We walked downstairs, the boys were in the kitchen, Richard saw me and gave me a hug.

“It’s time.” I joke.

We were in the kitchen when we heard the door open and someone walked in, I saw how Kelvin tighten his fist when he saw the person at sight.

Who is he?

“Jackson.” Dean says, “what are you doing here?.”

“I came with one of the men.”

“Hmm.” Kelvin says.

Maybe it’s relating to a wolf business, because I saw how they looked at him.

“I will get going.” I say to Kelvin, he gave me a kiss before I left.

One of the drivers would be taking me to her house, all the way through the drive all I could think of is the past memories. When she still lived with us. We got to her house.

I glanced at my phone, it is a message from Kelvin. He is wishing me all lucks, I exhale deeply before walking out of the car.

I laid a soft knock on the door almost as if I didn’t want anyone to hear, someone did hear. The door opened and a woman came in appearance.

“I have to speak to Celine.” I smile, it felt foreign calling her Celine.

“Do you have an appointment?” She asks and I nod.

“Tell her it’s the personal assistant to Kelvin knight.” I smile and the woman nods leading me in, I sat in a glamorous living room.

Is this why she left us, for shinny furnitures, to live an expensive life. I know we didn’t have much dad worked his butt off to make her happy, I saw it.

“She will here with you shortly.” The lady says before leaving again.

I fiddle with my fingers nervously waiting, when I heard the sounds of footsteps and a perfume filled my nostrils. I know that perfume.

Dad always told me how she loved that perfume and growing up I hated it, I made sure I never used it because I didn’t want anything that will remind me of her.

She comes into view, I hate how I look so much like her. I hate how we were alike expect our hair, she dyed hers. She gives me a warm smile before taking a seat on the chair opposite me.

“Celine Rodriguez.” She smiles at me.

She didn’t even notice how much I was staring at her. If she paid a little more attention she would know I look a lot like her.

“Victoria Sanchez.” I gritted through my teeth, I expected her to react when she heard the name but she didn’t.

She completely forgot about me, she doesn’t even remember the name of her daughter, I felt a tear trying to slip out of my eyes.

“My husband is not around, I’m sure you came for him.” She says and I shake my head.

“Amanda Sanchez.” I whisper loud enough for her to hear.

“Where did you hear that name?.”

“You don’t even recognize me, I’m a splitting image of you, even a fool would know.” I say.

I didn’t want to come off rude but she hit a nerve when she didn’t recognize me, it annoyed that she can’t remember her daughter.

“Vicky.”

That is a name she called me, growing up I made sure no one called me that, I grew up hating the name.

“Now you fucking remember.” I nurtured. I stand up trying to leave when she held my hand.

“Vicky, just let me explain.” She begs. "Please darling."

“You left me, you never looked back, you broke our family.” I whisper.

I told myself won’t cry but here I am letting tears slip out of my eyes.
