Jovannie followed Luke to the Civil Affairs Bureau in nervousness and excitement.
Every time they met each other's eyes, they couldn't help but blush madly. Rather than being an experienced couple, they seemed to be a pair of youths who had just fallen in love.
An hour later, Jovannie smiled brightly at the picture in the documents.
This was truly wonderful!
She was really married to Luke!
From now on, she would be his wife!
Jovannie saw that Luke smiled radiantly for the first time in the picture. Moreover, his eyes seemed to be sparkling with stars.
Even from the picture, she could feel his joy and happiness.
For the whole time, Luke didn't let go of her hand even if their palms were sweaty.
Luke said softly, "You're my wife now, Jovannie..."
Jovannie nodded and replied, "Yep, and you're my... darling husband!"
The moment he heard her call him "darling", Luke felt that his heart was tingling in numbness.
How he wished he could look at Jovannie forever.
"Jovannie... Call me that one more time!" Luke requested.
"What's that?" Jovannie asked in confusion.
"I want you to call me 'darling' again," Luke answered.
With a red face, Jovannie bit her lips and called, "D-Darling... Darling... Darling..."
She had to repeat this calling several times to make Luke feel contented.
Unknown to her, Luke would never be satisfied.
"Yes, I'm here, honey," Luke gently called back.
In an instant, Jovannie felt that his voice was deadlier than her calling.
Though she covered her face, she couldn't hide her blush.
After getting the marriage certificates, it was time for the wedding ceremony.
Jovannie tacitly told Luke that there was no need for a grand wedding. Instead, they should just invite the Miller family to the ceremony.
Luke agreed. Even so, he prepared the best wedding dress and jewelry for her.
Before the wedding, the two of them returned to Jovannie's hometown to visit her family.
She wanted to tell them about her biggest event.
At the graveyard.
As soon as she saw the three tombstones, Jovannie burst into tears.
"Dad, Mom, Westin... I'm here to see you."
Seeing her sad expression, Luke held her hand, telling her that he was by her side.
Jovannie looked at Luke before turning back to the tombstones.
"Guys... I want to tell you that I'm married. This is my husband, Luke. You should be familiar with him, Westin."
"He's a very good person, and I'll only love him for the rest of my life. Don't worry about me, we'll live a happy life."
