Chapter 64

Chapter 64
Alyssia

~ Next Day ~

Upon waking up the next day am I suddenly greeted by warm strong arms. Arms that were now wrapped around me gently as last night’s event returns to greet me slowly.

Zac’s mom. The restaurant. Zac bringing me back to this huge castle instead of the apartment. To us having amazing sex. And while things were magical the night before, today was completely different. Today, today was a brand new day and Zac promised to come clean about everything.

My thoughts soon interrupted by that of a voice. The voice gruff but one I knew well.

“Your over thinking again. I can hear you.”

Blinking, I turn to see Zac who was watching me with half open eyes. “What?” I ask, unsure if he meant to say it or not. The castle silent and it’s then I realize it’s only us. Our eyes still on the other even as he speaks again. His voice rough, like gravel.

“I said, your thinking again. Loudly. I can hear you based off the sounds you make. Like breathing. It spikes whenever your scared, nervous or there’s something sitting upon your mind, like now.”

My cheeks suddenly pink. “Oh.” Zac just chuckling before caressing my face. His hand warm even as he brushes his thumb against my cheek.

“Now then, why don’t you tell me what’s wrong. See if I can’t help ease your beautiful mind.”

Pausing, I really try and think of what to say back. That piece of me wanting to speak up about yesterday but didn’t want to pry nor create drama between him and his parents when mine wasn’t any better. Yet, I also wanted him to tell me on his terms, not mine.

“Baby?”

Sighing, I decide to come clean, that piece of me knowing he wouldn’t stop until I did. “I was just thinking, you know, about yesterday. And the whole incident with your mom.”

Zac now tense and it’s then I knew I struck a chord. Zac soon sighing before answering. “That woman is vile baby. Vile. Under no such circumstances is she allowed anywhere near you or our child, got it? She and my father are terrible people and will stop at nothing to destroy it.”

“Wait, how? Why?” My thoughts suddenly jumbled and the urge to know rises. To understand how his parents were vile.

“Because they are. You see, I’m not your average, run of the mill College Professor. No. And like I explained the night before, I’m rich. Like super rich. As I own the place we’re currently in. A place we’ll now live in moving forward. As I want you and our child protected from those who seek to cause harm. Like Brian, Lane and of course, Hendricks.”

At the mention of them do I suddenly freeze. My voice soft when finally speaking. “What about Annabel? She’ll be in danger too. She needs protection as well.” That part of me worried for her.

“Don’t worry about Annabel. Sam has that covered. Sam’s also rich and handles high end security. Right now, your my main concern, got it.”

Zac clearly firm by what he said. A piece of me knowing he’s right. That as much as I loved Annabel and she, me, it all came down to Sam being her boyfriend, thus he was the one to protect her, not me. Just like it was Zac’s job to make sure me and our child were safe, not Sam.

My belly taking that time to growl. Our child clearly telling me he’s hungry even though I was only 12 or so weeks pregnant. Zac chuckling as he gently touches my belly. A smile soon gracing his face.

“Tell you what, why don’t you shower and while you’re doing that I’ll head down towards the kitchen and find us something to eat and then we can finish talking about everything else. Like the fact your dating a billionaire with a fortune 500 company.”

At the mention of that do I suddenly blink. “Wait, what?” my eyes instantly wide. Like the size of saucers and Zac simply laughs. Almost like he found the reaction a little bit funny.

“Go, go shower. Then we’ll continue talking as you eat. No argument. Otherwise, I’ll bend you over my lap and smack that beautiful round ass of yours, got it?”

“Yes.”

Zac soon arching a brow and its then I knew I forgot the magic word. “Ops, I mean, yes daddy.”

“Good girl.”

Blushing, I quickly scamper away from the bed and in the direction I can only assume is the bathroom while Zac goes to find us something to eat. My eyes catching a brief look of his backside and the tones view of his ass.

Gods… he really was hot as fucking sin. And to think he was mine, all mine. And with those as my final thought do I then enter the bathroom like the good girl I always am.

Zac

Gods… give me the strength to get through the rest of my story. Please.

Alyssia a little surprised when telling her I was billionaire with a fortune 500 company. What I wasn’t surprised about was how calmly she took it considering I’ve been hiding it from her for about 3 months.

My bare feet now padding along the floor of the estate. A piece of me thankful that the house was empty today. Having told the staff to take the day off prior to our arrival last night, that I wanted to use today to get Alyssia settled in before explaining to her about my secret past. The other task was explaining to her about my parents and hopefully, with luck, I could ask her about hers.

As that phone call with her mother was a small reminder of who or what I’d be dealing with. And with Alyssia now pregnant, everyone was considered a threat, regardless of who you were.

The kitchen soon coming into view and its then, I’m glad I grabbed a pair of sweats before leaving the room. The estate huge and full of windows and while I was often proud of me and my body, I wasn’t willing to share it with anyone other than her.

My woman. My baby. And the mother of my child. Thoughts of how I was going to ask her to marry me soon rises. The thought of it and making her mine suddenly has my pulse racing. Fuck. I was so smitten with her. And the sad thing was, she could probably ask me for anything, and I’d more than likely grant it without a second thought. Not that I wouldn’t do it regardless, but for her, I’d jump bridges or burn the world down if she asked. Sam and I both holding the ability to do it because we could.
