I finally finished the last document, feeling a sense of accomplishment and relief. I looked at the clock and was shocked to see that it was already late in the evening. I had been so focused on my work that I had lost track of time.

I stretched my arms above my head and sighed, feeling the tension melt away from my body. I glanced around my office and realized that I was hungry and thirsty. I decided to take a break and get some food and water.

As I got up from my desk, I heard a soft knock on the door. I looked up and saw Anita standing in the doorway, a look of exhaustion on her face.

"Are you okay?" I asked, concerned about her appearance. She gave me a small smile and shook her head.

"I'm fine," she said, her voice sounding tired. "I just had a long day.

How's your work going?" I could tell that she was trying to be strong, but I could see the fatigue in her eyes.

I could tell that Anita needed to rest, and I didn't want her to push herself too hard. "You look exhausted," I said gently. "I think you should go home and get some rest. I can handle things here." She opened her mouth to protest, but I cut her off.

"You've been working so hard, and you deserve a break. Go home and relax," I insisted. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"Okay," she said, a look of relief on her face.

"Thank you.”

“See you tomorrow…” I said, then called,

“Book an appointment with a fashion house tomorrow. I'd love to go pick my outfit for Friday night.” She turned to me,

“Friday night? Is there an occasion the company is hosting?”

I didn't tell her, oh goodness gracious.

“Not really, Auden Enterprise is having a gala. And I was invited.” She was puzzled. look, the same one Amelia gave earlier.

“And you want to go, Ma'am?”

I nodded, “ of course, yes.”

She sighs, “ I don't think it's a good idea to go alone. Do you want me to come with you?”

I looked at her, she's just so kind. “ Anita, you've been working too hard. You'll need the weekend to yourself. I've got this, Okay? I said to her, she nodded reluctantly as she turned to leave.

I sighted, with my hands on my hip, I looked at the files, it was time to leave now. Amelia had called Earlier and I lied that I was stuck in traffic. She's going to really deal with me when I get home

I gathered up my things and started to pack up my things, ready to head home. I picked up my laptop, notebooks, and pens, and put them into my bag. I grabbed my jacket and slipped it on, feeling the coolness of the fabric against my skin.

I took one last look around my office, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything. I turned off the lights and headed for the door, ready to leave for the day. I felt a sense of peace as I walked out of the office. I've done my best and now all I want to do is to rest.

I stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby, my black car was already waiting by the door. My uniformed driver stood beside it. I walked over to him, feeling a sense of anticipation.

“So, Sorry," I said, a smile on my face.

Are you ready to go, Ma'am?" I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. I had a lot to look forward to, and I couldn't wait to get home. I stepped into the car, he got in and then we drove off.

…….

The car pulled out of the parking lot and onto the street. I watched the city pass by, the lights and buildings blurring together as we drove. I felt a sense of contentment as I settled into the backseat, my mind wandering.

As we got closer to my Estate, I could feel my excitement building. Soon, I would be home. The car pulled up to my house, and I felt a sense of exhaustion and relief. I stepped out of the car and onto the familiar pavement, the butler opened the door, taking my handbag.

“Welcome home, Miss Knowles”

My eyes traveled to Amelia, having her dinner,

“Good evening Nanny..” I greeted

I walked through the front door and was greeted by the delicious smell of food. She turned to look at me, her expression turning from happiness to concern.

"You're home late," she said, her brow furrowing. "I was beginning to worry." I felt a twinge of guilt.

"I'm sorry, Nanny," I said, my voice contrite. "It was a long day at work, and I got caught up." She nodded, a small smile on her face. "I understand," she said.

"Just don't make a habit of it." I smiled at her, grateful for her understanding. I knew that she just wanted what was best for me. "I promise," I said.

"Now, let's eat! I'm starving…I've been waiting for you to come home" She laughed and motioned for me to sit down. I took my seat at the table and looked down at the food. It smelled amazing, and I felt my stomach grumble. I picked up my fork and dug in, savoring the taste of home-cooked food.

“A man was here earlier to see you” she suddenly said, I froze on the spot, dropping my fork,

“A man?” My face squeezed into confusion, What man? Auden?”

“No, not him. Another one. He dropped by to see you but you weren't back from work.” she stated, I jogged my memory if I knew who she was referring to but nothing.

. He was very insistent on talking to you, even though I told him that you were not home.

He had salt-and-pepper hair and a round face, and he seemed like a nice man." I raised an eyebrow.

"What did he want?" I asked, intrigued. "He wouldn't say,” Amelia replied, a frown creasing her brow.

"I told him that I couldn't disclose any information about you without your permission, and he left without another word. I thought it was strange, but I didn't think much of it until now." I felt a shiver of unease run down my spine.

"Do you think he was a stalker or something?" I asked, feeling suddenly wary.

Amelia waved her hand dismissively.

"Oh, I'm sure it was nothing like that. He probably just wanted to talk to you about something important. Don't worry, sweetie. I'm sure he meant no harm." She saysI tried to shake off my unease, but I couldn't help but feel on edge.

“A man? I asked again, and she nodded.
