Chapter 25 Seven minutes in heaven
Uriel's POV
And we were fucking scammed
Of course, we were new to these things - a party, I mean.
So much for wanting to live.
"You said who sent you the invitation?" I asked Chloe, my eyes glaring at the fully clothed people outside the porch.
"Mica, the party president." Chloe showed me her phone. Her voice was down
"When I get a hold of that bitch, I'd pinch off her fucking fake lashes. The guts." Kathie growled, anger laced in her voice.
"We should go." Chloe suggested, placing her hand on the gear
"Go? Hell no." I shook my head. I wasn't going to let us be ridiculed like that.
"What do you mean hell no? Do we walk in with our bikinis when obviously, that's not the dress code?" Kathie pointed towards the people standing outside, drinking.
"Exactly what I'm saying." I smirked, looking between them. "We need to earn our place. We can't let anybody treat us like trash and get away with it. They're all going to eat up their shits."
I also knew Ryder would be in there.
I didn't pick this hot bikini for nothing.
"I can't fight, Uriel, you know that." Chloe groaned
"I can, girl. In fact, I can't wait to meet Mica." Kathie picked her robe, slipping her hand into it.
"Hey, hey, hey." I placed my hand on Kathie's thigh, chuckling lightly. "We're not going to fight. Just... Follow my lead."
"Uriel, this is going to be humiliating." Chloe said, putting on her netty robe as well.
I'm telling you...
The plan was to storm in there, looking breathtaking.
Well, they both did look breathtaking.
I was just there.
No. Not now head.
I need all my confidence for this.
"Chloe, call for cloth backup." I told her, slipping my own robe this time.
My heart was beating fast.
I didn't know how we were going to rub it on their face but we weren't going to go back home and sulk.
Party?
We were going to have that.
"Done." Chloe said. "It'll be here in 30 minutes."
"Can't we stay here for the whole 30 minutes? I just saw Mason." Kathie's voice was small now.
"Urghhh!!" Pushing the door open, I turned around to open theirs, ignoring their pleas to be left out from my plan.
I held their hands, all three of us standing in front of the porch.
Lance was going to laugh at us real bad.
He warned us.
"Uriel please. It's not too -"
"Shoulders high, serious face." I instructed. "Walk."
"My legs are freaking jello!" Kathie muttered under her breath.
Regardless, we all walked through the crowd at the porch. They all looked at us as if we had grown two heads
They laughed.
Called us Dumbo
It hurt.
But we didn't give two shits
Or rather, we acted as though we didn't.
The minute we opened the door to the party, the music paused, the crowd turned to us, laughing audibly, pointing at us.
"Fucking clowns."
"Nerds indeed."
"Who even invited them?"
"Poor girls."
Amidst all these, my eyes fell on one person... Ryder.
Planted to both sides were two girls from school - the wannabes. He had this look that silently asked 'are you crazy?'. Then he lifted his lips into a smirk.
He was mocking me!
"Do you girls remember that dance we did in that pool dancing competition Mama Lauren enrolled us for?" I asked Chloe and Kathie.
They nodded, their faces a bit brighter, hearing that I didn't just bring them here to humiliate them
"Let's teach this bitches!" Kathie cheered, leading the way.
I believed she had spotted the pool so I followed her.
Everybody was intrigued, following us.
Everybody
I hurriedly went to whisper in the DJ's ear, the song I needed.
Who runs the world
That was song I needed.
Because girls ran the world.
And we were going to run this damn party.
Kathie and Chloe were so pumped.
In 3,2,1... We dropped our robes down, diving into the pool immediately.
"Ouuuuuu"
"What can they even do?"
"This is pathetic."
Some people had started to leave until we started performing and the crowd went wild.
You could see it in their eyes. They were all impressed with the skills we were dishing out
I should've stopped when I saw Emma but I was so pumped with confidence, I didn't care.
Not like my mother gave two shits about what I do.
She was silently praying for my downfall so she could throw me out and say "I said it."
We stepped out of the pool after dancing, our chest heaving up and down as we wrapped our wet body in our robes.
"I freaking love you, Uri." Kathie praised
"Likeeee." Chloe concurred. "You're really courageous.
Most persons left and the party continued. I caught onto Ryder's glare before he slipped into the crowd.
Heh!
"Girls, you were on fire!!!" A group of girls came to us.
They began to question us on where we got the bikini's, how we learnt the dance, if we can do more than that in the pool and all sort of boring questions.
"Excuse us, our dresses are here." Chloe gave them a fake smile, pulling us with her.
The girls eyed us as we walked past them.
"Mason watched us. Gosh, I'm so happy." Kathie yelled over the loud music as we waited for Chloe to get back with the dresses.
"Let's go." Chloe arrived, pulling us to the toilet.
After dressing up into what Mama Lauren picked for us. Emphasis on Mama Lauren because her style was totally badass.
It was high waist shorts that stopped two inches before our knee and some crop tops.
Honestly, I didn't know i'd look good in something like that.
"Hey!" Chase held my arm immediately we made our way back to the crowd.
"There's a game going on in that room. Care to join?" He asked, looking between the three of us.
I turned to my girls, raising my eyebrow. They nodded.
"Sure." I said, letting him lead us.
I knew I should've asked what kind of game.
I hoped it wasn't truth or dare.
Oh no.
I should tap out.
Then my eyes connected with the familiar dark green eyes, his hand wrapped around the only girl that sat on his thigh, licking his neck.
Ew.
His eyes turned dark when he saw me. His jaw ticked.
What? Weren't we all partying?
"Gather around!" One boy from our class said.
Kathie, Chloe and I said together.
"No no. Spread." Peter instructed. "Chloe, come sit here." He patted at the door beside him.
Kathie and I looked at Chloe whose cheek turned red instantly.
This girl.
She shyly stood up and went over there.
"Kathie, in-between Jude and Mason."
"Gladly." Kathie muttered, walking up to them.
I knew my girl. She was going to play her cards well tonight.
I was happy for them.
"I'll sit here." Chase dropped down beside me, making me freeze.
My eyes travelled to meet Ryder. He wasn't looking, he was glaring daggers at Chase.
Only them knew what this was about.
But I wasn't interested in whatever.
"Uhh.. okay. Let's start." Peter raised up a bottle, showing us all. "This is the bottle. I'll spin and who ever it lands on..."
Gosh.
It's truth or dare.
I knew it.
"Will take the next person to that room, make it snappy - whatever you guys will be doing. Well, 7 minutes is a lot. Then come back here with evidence." Peter explained.
"Just call it 7 minutes in heaven." Mason growled.
"Had to explain because of our new members." Peter looked at me and then, Kathie and Chloe
Oh.
"Let's go!" He spun the bottle first and it landed on some guy from our class. "Pick either girls beside you and scamp." He nodded at the closet.
"Cool." The guy picked one girl with piercing all over her face.
I don't think I had seen her before.
"Your time is ticking. Ryder, are you checking the time?" Peter asked Ryder who looked lost. "Ryder!"
"What?"
"Time!" Peter yelled halfly
He rolled his eyes, clicking on his watch. The girl who was all over him still wouldn't let him be when clearly he was being distracted.
By who?
I didn't know.
I bet he was going to fuck that one in 7 minutes.
Ew.
"Times up!" Peter knocked on the door after 7 minutes. The guy came out, holding out the girl's undies, her black lipstick smooched all over his face.
Ewww.
So that was what they meant.
Kathie, Chloe and I shared similar horrified look with each other.
We were fucked.
"We go again." Peter spun the bottle and - bam.
It stopped Chase.
That shouldn't be a big deal, right?
He'd choose the other girl by his left hand side.
Nobody would want a prude right?
"Uriel?" His large palm appeared in my front.
My eyes fluttered, my mouth falling open.
"Come onnnn! Don't be a party pauper." A girl yelled. "That's our hot cap right there."
Instinctively, my eyes went back to Ryders'. His eyes were hard but his face was blank, hiding his emotions.
"Go girl!!!"
"She can't do it. She's a prude." Ryder spoke, his voice hoarse.
I glared at him, smirking.
Stiffly, I placed my hand on Chase's hand.
"Fine. Let's do this, Chase."
