Chapter 55

Aryan looked at Reyna with concern. "Remember, if you feel unwell or need anything, don't hesitate to call the maids. They're here to help you," he said, taking Reyna's hand and giving her a quick hug. "I'll be right back after the meeting."

Reyna smiled, trying to look strong even though her stomach was still queasy. "I'll be fine. Focus on your work. This is important to you."

After making sure Reyna was comfortable, Aryan finally stepped out of the house, even though his heart was still heavy. He knew that Reyna was going through a hard time, and he wanted to be by her side. However, work responsibilities couldn't be ignored either.

Inside the house, Reyna sat on the couch, trying to distract her mind from the nauseous feeling that kept bothering her. She picked up a book that she had been meaning to read for a long time, but found it hard to concentrate. Thoughts of her pregnancy and how her life would change continued to haunt her mind.

After a while, the maid came over to her. "Mrs. Reyna, would you like me to prepare something for you? Maybe ginger tea or a snack?" the maid asked kindly.

Reyna nodded. "Ginger tea sounds good. Thank you." She felt a little better with the presence of the maid who was ready to help her. Even though Aryan was not beside her, she knew that she was not alone.

While waiting for her ginger tea, Reyna pondered the future. She knew that this journey would not be easy, but with the support of Aryan and the people around her, she felt a little more optimistic. She was determined to face every challenge that came, for herself and the baby growing inside her.

Reyna was happy because she was pregnant with her husband, Aryan. She was looking forward to the arrival of her baby and hoped that she could take care of and raise him with love.

Reyna took her cell phone and opened the message application. She saw Lyra's name on her contact list and felt homesick. Even though they were separated by distance, Reyna knew that their friendship was still strong. She quickly typed a message for Lyra.

"Hi, Lyra! I'm at home, and it feels lonely without you. How are you there? I need someone to talk to," Reyna wrote.

Not long after, her cell phone vibrated. A message from Lyra came in. "Hi, Reyna! I'm fine, but I miss you too! How's your pregnancy? Is it starting to feel better?"

Reyna smiled as she read the message. "I'm still feeling nauseous, but I'm trying to stay positive. Aryan just went to the office for an important meeting. It's hard to be left alone."

"Don't worry, Reyna. You're not alone. I'm always here for you, even though we're far apart. We can video call later, okay? I want to hear all your stories!" Lyra replied.

Reyna felt warm in her heart. "Yes, I really want to! Thank you, Lyra. Your presence always makes me feel better."

After a few conversations, Reyna felt calmer. She knew that even though Lyra was far away, her best friend was always ready to listen and provide support. Reyna also felt lucky to have a friend like Lyra who was always there for her, even from afar.

While waiting for the ginger tea prepared by the maid, Reyna decided to arrange a video call with Lyra. She wanted to share all her feelings about pregnancy and how her life had changed. That moment would be a reminder that even though there were challenges, she was not alone in this journey.

As a pregnant woman, Reyna treated her pregnancy with great care. She was grateful for this miracle and hoped to provide the best for the growth of the baby in her womb.

When Lyra, Reyna's best friend, told her that she was getting married soon, Reyna felt a mixture of emotions. She was shocked to hear the news, but on the other hand, she was also very happy for Lyra.

As a long-time friend, Reyna certainly wanted the best for Lyra. Marriage is a big step in someone's life, and Reyna knew that Lyra must have considered this decision carefully.

Reyna may have been a little surprised that Lyra would get married this soon, but she also realized that everyone has their own development and life plans. The most important thing is that Lyra is happy with her choice.

With an enthusiastic tone, Reyna congratulated and supported Lyra. She hoped that her best friend's wedding would go smoothly and provide eternal happiness for Lyra and her partner.

"Congratulations, Lyra. I'm so happy to hear that you're getting married. I'll try to come to your wedding day," said Reyna.

"Thank you, Reyna! I'm also very happy to be able to share this happy news with you. Your presence on my wedding day would mean the world to me,” Lyra replied with a wide smile. “I hope you can come and celebrate with us.”

Reyna nodded, “Of course! I’ll make sure to set aside time. The wedding preparations must be exciting, huh? Do you have a specific theme in mind?”

Lyra sighed, “Yes, I’m thinking of something simple yet elegant. I want everything to feel intimate and full of love. What do you think?”

Reyna smiled, “That sounds beautiful! I’m sure your wedding will be an unforgettable moment.”

Reyna sat on the plush sofa in the living room, her eyes occasionally glancing at the clock that ticked slowly. Today felt longer than usual. Waiting for Aryan to come home from work all day was indeed quite boring, but there was a longing that surged in her heart. Her husband had always been the source of her happiness and enthusiasm.

After taking a shower, Reyna wore a casual light blue dress that made her feel fresh. She combed her loose hair, letting it fall softly on her shoulders. The scent of the lotion she had just applied could still be smelled, adding a fresh impression to her appearance. She hopes Aryan will like her performance tonight.

Reyna turned her gaze to the window, looking at the darkening sky. Several stars began to appear, and the streetlights outside the house began to turn on. She recalled the beautiful moments they had spent together, like when they first met at a small cafe, or when Aryan proposed to her on the beach at sunset. All those memories made her smile.

However, boredom began to gnaw at her. Reyna took her phone and opened the messaging application. She sent a short message to Aryan, asking when he would be home. Not long after, her phone vibrated. A message from Aryan appeared on the screen.

“Sorry, honey. There is a sudden meeting. It might be a little late.”

Reyna sighed. Sudden meetings often happened in Aryan's office, but she couldn't help but feel disappointed. She had prepared a special dinner for the two of them. Aryan's favorite food, spaghetti with rich tomato sauce, was ready on the dining table. Reyna hoped that Aryan could come home soon and enjoy the meal she had prepared.

Time continued to pass, and Reyna decided to turn on the television. She chose a movie channel and got lost in the story that was being shown. However, her mind kept wandering to Aryan. She imagined her husband's tired face after a long day at work, and how his smile would make all this boredom disappear.
