Chapter 194 194
Chapter 194 194
The news reached Asher at dawn.
He had barely returned from Xander’s territory when one of the guards rushed toward him with panic written all over his face. The moment Asher heard that Alyna was missing from the hideout, his entire expression darkened.
“What do you mean missing?” he asked coldly.
The guard lowered his head nervously.
“She disappeared during the night, Alpha. We searched the surrounding woods but… we found signs of struggle.”
Asher immediately stood up.
His wolf Kael became restless inside him.
For the first time in a long while, genuine fear gripped him.
“Alyna wouldn’t leave Leo alone willingly,” he muttered.
Something terrible had happened.
Without wasting another second, Asher went directly toward the hidden shelter. By the time he arrived, the women were already terrified. Some of them cried while explaining how Alyna had gone outside after hearing a noise.
Ryan was there too, visibly shaken.
“She was here,” he said frustratedly. “I checked on the guards before midnight and everything was fine.”
Asher crouched near the ground where faint marks remained visible.
Broken branches.
Dragged footsteps.
And then—
A scent.
His expression hardened instantly.
Not from their pack.
Not from Xander’s.
A rogue.
A dangerous one.
Kael growled violently inside him.
Asher slowly closed his eyes.
Sarmon.
The realization hit him immediately.
“Alyna…” he whispered under his breath.
Ryan looked at him anxiously.
“You think it’s him?”
Asher opened his eyes again, rage slowly surfacing beneath his calm exterior.
“Yes.”
The atmosphere around him became suffocating instantly.
Everyone could feel the shift in their Alpha.
Because Asher rarely lost control.
But now…
His mate had been taken.
No matter what bond remained broken between them, Alyna was still the center of his world.
And someone had dared to touch her.
Asher stood up slowly.
“Prepare the warriors,” he ordered coldly. “Nobody leaves the territory alone anymore.”
Ryan hesitated before asking,
“What about Leo?”
Asher’s eyes briefly shifted toward the hideout where his son still slept peacefully, unaware that his mother had vanished.
Something painful crossed his face.
“Protect him with your life,” he said quietly.
Ryan immediately nodded.
Asher looked toward the dark forest ahead.
For the first time, fear mixed with murderous rage inside him.
Because Alyna’s visions had always pointed toward danger.
And now that danger had finally reached her.
Meanwhile—
Xander was overseeing repairs in his damaged territory when one of his scouts arrived breathlessly.
“Alpha!”
Xander immediately turned.
“What happened?”
The scout looked disturbed.
“There’s news from Asher’s territory.”
The moment Alyna’s name was mentioned, Xander’s expression sharpened instantly.
“What about Alyna?”
The scout swallowed nervously.
“She’s missing.”
Everything inside Xander froze.
“What?”
“She disappeared from the hideout during the night. They believe Sarmon took her.”
For several seconds, Xander could not process the words.
Then suddenly, fury exploded inside him.
His wolf roared violently.
Without warning, Xander punched the nearby wall hard enough to crack the stone beside him.
His beta stepped forward carefully.
“Alpha—”
“She’s with him?” Xander interrupted darkly.
The scout nodded hesitantly.
“That’s what they suspect.”
Xander immediately turned away, trying to control the storm inside him.
Out of everyone…
Why Alyna?
Then realization slowly settled into his mind.
Her powers.
Her visions.
Sarmon must have discovered something.
Xander suddenly remembered the way Alyna had described Sarmon before.
The darkness.
The threat approaching them.
Maybe Sarmon had been searching for her from the very beginning.
That thought terrified him more than anything.
Because men like Sarmon did not keep people alive out of kindness.
Xander grabbed his sword immediately.
His beta quickly blocked his path.
“Where are you going?”
“To find her.”
“You can’t go alone.”
“I don’t care.”
His voice carried terrifying authority now.
The beta lowered his head slightly before speaking again.
“If Sarmon truly took her, then this could be a trap.”
Xander went silent.
Because he knew that already.
But it changed nothing.
Alyna was in danger.
And he could not remain still knowing that.
Just then, another messenger arrived unexpectedly.
“This came from Asher.”
Xander immediately snatched the message from his hand.
The letter was short.
Sarmon took Alyna.
Meet me at the border.
We end this together.
Xander stared at the message for several seconds.
Then for the first time since this chaos began, something changed inside him completely.
The rivalry. The jealousy. The hatred.
None of it mattered anymore.
Because Alyna belonged to both their hearts in different ways.
And now she was suffering somewhere alone.
Xander slowly folded the message.
His eyes darkened with determination.
“Saddle the horses,” he ordered coldly.
His warriors immediately straightened.
“We’re going after Sarmon.”
Far away, inside unknown darkness, Alyna remained unconscious, unaware that both Alphas were now united for one purpose only.
To bring her back.
