"In the eyes of the law, I'm still guilty, Bryan! The law won't care about my reasons! I don't care how long I end up in prison. I just hope Leo wakes up soon and lives a healthy life!"

"If he wakes up later and it turns out you're not by his side? What should we tell him? Do you expect me to tell him that you were imprisoned to save him, right?"

Lucia was stunned, she realized that what Bryan said was true. If Leo wakes up and realizes that she is in prison, Leo will definitely not forgive himself.

Pierre, who had just arrived, walked over to those who were silent and seemed to be thinking about something complicated. Pierre sighed, in his hand he held a document containing the trial schedule for the clash between mafia members involving Lucia.

Lucia was stunned, she didn't expect to get defense from anyone because from the start she had resigned herself to all the risks she would take, as long as it could bring Leo back to her. She didn't want Leo to stay on that road and no one wanted to save him.

"I just want Leo to recover, can you guys promise me one thing?"

"What's that?"

"Whatever happens to me, I beg you after this never leave Leo alone again!"



Bryan did not budge and remained silent even though Pierre tried to engage him in conversation along the way. The atmosphere in the car felt so strange and it made them feel uneasy.

It felt like just yesterday when the five of them went to the amusement park to celebrate Molly's birthday together. They had fun even though there was a little disagreement between them. But it was still much better than what they were currently experiencing.

Bryan couldn't hide the turmoil in his heart, while Pierre tried his best to maintain his composure. They still couldn't believe that this would happen again, they couldn't believe that they would allow Lucia to sacrifice again.

"Bryan, are you okay?" Pierre asked. He wanted to make sure that Bryan wasn't too down right now.

I watched how he grew up with the bad influence of his father, I saw how he often lack of food. I watched hisvsuffer for years and I was sure that I was enough to be a good friend for him. But every time I saw Lucia, I felt that the level of friendship in her was very different from what we felt I never thought that I would sacrifice my life or future for the four of you, I never thought that I would have to do all that. But Lucia, I never understood why she always went to such lengths for us?"

Bryan's voice trembled, even though he tried to hold back his tears from spilling. But in the end he couldn't hold it in any longer. He felt it was too painful to continue pretending to be strong and acting as if he was fine.

The friend he really hated was dying and unconscious in a hospital bed and the woman he really loved had to languish in prison after trying to help the friend he really hated. This was driving him almost insane and no matter how much alcohol he drank would not intoxicate him enough to make him forget everything that happened.

Pierre sighed, he could understand Bryan's feelings. Because he also felt the same way even though it was different from Bryan, to be honest he never hated Leo at all.

"I just want us to stay focused on collecting evidence at trial, right now try to think clearly, Bryan! Lucia and Leo really need us, so put aside your jealousy for now!"

"You're wondering if Lucia would do the same thing if you were in Leo's position, right?"

Pierre's statement was like a dagger through the heart for Bryan. There were times when he thought about giving up after he realized that the man Lucia loved was Leo. However, his ego and enormous desire to possess made him ignore his feelings.

Bryan's tears flowed even though he tried to keep the sound of his crying in his heart. Giving up the woman he loved so much would turn out to be this painful.
