The Silent Room
"Miss Peterson!"

Lucia opened her eyes when a guard called her name. She gasped and realized that she had just fallen asleep and was dreaming after crying.

The man opened the lock of the detention room and looked at her with a meaningful look.

"Mr. Walter wants to see you!"

"Bryan?" She muttered. She didn't know how long she had been in this place. But she realized that she was still wearing the same clothes she wore when she went looking for Leo.

She walked with a strange feeling towards the room where Bryan was waiting for her. However, when she arrived at the room, Bryan did not come alone, but with Pierre.

These two men looked at her with wet eyes, as if they were suffering from pain after seeing her miserable state. Quickly, Pierre grabbed her body and hugged her very tightly.

"Why did you come here? What about Leo?" She was anxious every time she remembered Leo's condition. Her tears kept flowing and she couldn't control it.

"Chris is there looking after him! Calm down, right now you better think about yourself!"

"I'm fine! The most important thing is Leo's condition. Whatever happens, you have to save him!"

"Chris and other doctors are trying to save his life. Right now all we can do is pray and wait for news from Chris!"

"You should have stayed there looking after him! You don't need to visit me here, I-"

"Lucia, that's enough! Don't say anything else, I beg you!" Bryan asked in a trembling voice. He seemed to be trying hard to hold back his tears.

His heart was broken seeing Lucia's chaotic condition and that would only make the wound in his heart grow bigger.

The atmosphere became silent for a few seconds, the only sound that could be heard was the sadness they were trying hard to suppress. Lucia kept thinking about Leo and whether the doctors could save him? She didn't know what would happen to her if Leo couldn't be saved.

"Leo-"

"We will try, right now I beg you to think about yourself! Please!" Pierre asked. In contrast to Bryan who became so emotional. Pierre was still trying to remain calm and strong so that his two friends wouldn't get too caught up in sadness.

"Pierre, will Leo be okay? Will Leo-" every time she said Leo's name, she felt a very painful tightness in her chest as if a large rock had hit her chest right now.

Pierre rubbed her head gently, he knew that Lucia had sacrificed everything in herself to save Leo and he didn't know that Lucia would do something crazy again just to save someone who was very precious to her.

"Back then, you also dared to attack three criminals to save the four of us. You even killed one of the men when you saw him trying to chase Leo. Lucia, what were you really thinking when you did all that?" Pierre asked. This was a question he had always wanted to ask Lucia since then. About what made her have the courage to face danger just for someone's sake?

"I don't know, Pierre! I don't know, I just thought that I had to do it, I-" a single tear fell down her cheek. Pierre immediately grabbed her body and hugged her very tightly, letting Lucia start to cry in his arms.

Her heartbreaking cries filled the silent room. Pierre and Bryan were silent and tried to convince themselves that Lucia's feelings and Leo's safety were more important than anything else.

This woman was hurt, her body and soul had been hurt and the only thing she was thinking about was the safety of the man she loved so much.



Bryan sighed as he tried to explain to Lucia what she should say to the lawyer he had prepared for her. He hired the best lawyer and he hoped that it would make the sentence imposed much lighter.

"How are you, Miss? Did you listen to my explanation?" Ask Mr. Erwin Smith, a renowned lawyer who has successfully helped his clients choose.

Lucia doesn't seem very enthusiastic about the defense that her lawyer might make, considering that she was proven guilty and was involved in a deadly fight with members of the mafia led by Anthonius Cohen, who unfortunately was deemed not involved thanks to the loyalty of his followers.

"I leave everything to you!"

"You have to be more enthusiastic! We are collecting evidence at the trial to lighten your sentence!"

"But I was proven involved and guilty, Bryan! I killed some people, the court won't let me get away with it!"

"So, you gave up? You mean you would be willing to go to prison for a dozen years for that?" Bryan shouted in frustration. It has been 10 days since Lucia was detained and found guilty of her involvement in the clash between mafia members in the abandoned building.

"How is Leo?" Instead of answering Bryan's question, she asked about Leo's current condition.

"He is still in a coma, there are no signs that he will wake up soon. But Chris and the doctors will try to do everything they can to save him. Therefore, you must also understand the situation. I am trying to do everything I can so that you can immediately free!"

"I'm fine, Bryan! I'm ready for all the risks I have to take. I'm a murderer, I killed a lot of people. What's worse than all that?"

"You did it because you wanted to save Leo!"
