Chapter 7 The Eclipse Moon Pack

Chapter 7 The Eclipse Moon Pack
Antonella Erickson - POV

I stood beside his car, rubbing my hands against my arms to bring in some warmth while my eyes were fixed on the doors. A few minutes later, Alpha Alexus stormed out of the bar towards his car. “Let's go,” he told me when he unlocked the car and got in, and I got in as well.

“Did she say she could break the bond?” I asked Alpha Alexus when he started the car and drove out of the parking lot.

“She will find a way.” Alpha Alexus reassured me as he pressed on the accelerator.

“Where are we going?”

“To my pack,” he said when I sat a little straighter on my seat.

“Do you think it's wise?” I asked him.

“I don't think we have much choice, Antonella. After what happened last night.” Alpha Alexus said when a frown appeared on my face.

“What do you mean?” I asked him when I turned to face him, but his eyes were on the road. “It's not a real mate bond, so why…”

“It’s as real as it can get, Antonella. In fact, a bond created by magic is far more powerful than a regular bond,” he explained when my eyes widened in alarm. “But how am I going to stay in your pack, Alpha Aleuxs? You know our packs are at war.”

“Don't worry about that.” Alpha Alexus told me when I leaned back and relaxed, but my heart was still on edge. The journey was filled with silence as I looked out through the window.

“Antonella?” My eyes fluttered open. The car was stopped beside the road, and I looked at Alpha Alexus to see that he was busy texting someone on his phone.

“Is there a problem?” I asked him as I looked around our surroundings. There wasn't anything except for trees.

“No, I am waiting for someone,” he told me when he got down from the car. And began walking. I leaned forward when I saw a woman walk out of the forest. She was wearing a cloak that covered her face.

They exchanged a few words when I saw the woman pass a bag to Alpha Alexus before she walked back into the forest. As soon as Alpha Alexus got into the car, he gave me the bag and started the car. “What is this?” I asked him when I opened the bag and pulled out four small vials that had a clear liquid inside.

“Concealment potion,” he told me as he put the car on drive and merged back into the road. “Yuis will help change your identity. But the effects would only last for twenty-four hours, which means you will have to drink the second bottle thirty minutes before the time expires.”

“Will this hide scent as well?” I asked him when a smile appeared on his face.

“I think your scent is already hidden, Antonella.”

“What do you mean?”

“Your scent is mixed with mine. All you have to do is change your appearance,” he said.

“How are you going to introduce me to your pack?”

“You will be my mate. Because that mark will not go away. And all my pack members know what my Luna’s mark would be if I make her,” he explained when I nodded my head. I took out one vial and unscrewed the top. As I brought it closer to my nose, I felt my stomach churn as I felt the bile rise up my throat.

Despite having a transparent look, the smell was horrible. It smelled like rotten eggs, grass, and blood. My nose scrunched in disgust when I closed my eyes and drank everything. I felt a burning sensation as the liquid traveled down my throat.

Gradually my skin started to warm up while my heart raced. My eyes flew open, and I looked at my fingers when I saw that they had become longer. The warm tingling sensation increased and suddenly stopped.

I took my handbag and took out my mirror as I gazed at my new appearance. My blue eyes had turned green, while my brown wavy hair had turned pitch black. “How do I look?” I asked Alpha Alexus when he took a quick look at me when a smile crossed his face.

“Not that beautiful.”

“What?”

“I liked your original appearance,” he said when a smile appeared on my face while my cheeks heated up at his compliment. “We are here,” Alpha Alexus announced. He turned into a narrow road on the left, and a few minutes later the car came to a stop in front of a pair of iron gates.

Alpha Alexus rolled down his window and nodded at a warrior who immediately opened the gates. “Where is your pack?” I asked Alpha Alexus as we drove down the dirt road.

“There,” he asserted when my eyes widened in awe. The packed town made me feel like I was entering New York. There were a few tall glass buildings along with modern-looking boutiques and restaurants. Pack members were swarming the streets as we drove past them.

“Your pack is huge.”

“Thank you,” he told me. The pack town gradually changed into houses, and soon I saw that Alpha Alexus was driving towards a mansion. After parking the car in the driveway, Alpha Alexus got down, and I followed him.

“Relax, and don't look surprised no matter what,” he told me when I nodded my head.

“Maximus! Maximus!” I heard someone yell. I turned around when I saw a man walking fast towards us. He was well built like Alpha Alexus, wearing a black suit. His brown hair swayed in the air when he stopped in front of us. “So it's true?”

“What's true?”

“You found your mate,” he asserted when he looked at me.

“I am Evangeline Malcolm.” I introduced myself as I extended my hand for a handshake.

“Beta Arthur Murphy,” he introduced himself when I nodded my head as I quickly took my hand.

“Is this why you didn't come back to the pack last night?” Beta Murphy asked Alpha Alexus when he nodded his head, and suddenly he wrapped his hand around my waist, igniting sparks that I have never felt before.
