Chapter 152
Geoffrey never tolerated objections, so Wayne had no choice but to instruct legal to draft the
contracts.
“By the way, Boss, the hack on your personal account early this morning… tracing it might take time. The IP was virtual…”
Geoffrey frowned at the report. “Send me all existing data.”
“Right away.”
Geoffrey retreated to his study with the files.
Fingers flying across the keyboard, he pinpointed a vulnerability in minutes, unmasking the intruder’s true location.
“Rushham…”
Meanwhile, in a kindergarten restroom, Jacob hammered frantically at his laptop keys, beads of sweat lining his forehead.
He abandoned the money transfer instantly, rerouting his address through external proxies.
Wiping his brow, Jacob muttered, “Didn’t expect the jerk dad to have capable people. That cash isn’t worth getting caught over.”
Thankfully, he’d brought the laptop today.
Geoffrey only traced the general vicinity–Rushham.
“Cutting losses awfully fast.”
Corporate rivals wouldn’t resort to such bizarre tactics, he pondered.
He forwarded the approximate coordinates to Wayne. “Scour this area. Find whoever’s behind it.”
Geoffrey would not tolerate a single lingering threat.
After everything was explained, breakfast was served, and Geofliey came downstairs to have

breakfast with Maureen.
Maureen still didn’t know Jacob was almost discovered by Geoffrey. Now she was just waiting to see if she’d get pregnant this month, and how to safely take Ethan away.
“Can I go see Ethan?” Maureen asked tentatively, then explained, “He’s still young, with no family around. I’m worried.”
Since she last saw Ethan on his birthday, she hadn’t seen him again.
Geoffrey’s hand holding the chopsticks tightened as he remembered his mother’s words, his own unborn child, and Gareth.
He resumed his usual coldness: “Don’t worry, he’s doing fine.”
The Private Country Estate reported Ethan’s situation to Geoffrey daily, so he’d know immediately if anything happened.
Rejected. Maureen’s heart turned cold, the breakfast in her mouth tasteless.
Her eyes darkened: “Don’t you think this is too harsh?”
“You were with another man during our marriage, carrying his child–isn’t that harsh?”
If it were the old him, he wouldn’t have let this child live at all!
On this point, Maureen simply couldn’t argue with him.
Because she had to hide Ethan’s identity.
She had to swallow her pride: “Even if I beg you, let me see him. I really miss him.
Didn’t you say we should be like a normal couple now?”
Geoffrey didn’t know why he agreed to her.
In the afternoon, they arrived at the Private Country Estate.
Ethan was basking in the sun boredly, watching the withered yellow leaves fall one by one. He suddenly felt scared, scared of death.
If he died, Mommy would be heartbroken. He didn’t want to see Mommy ery
The nanny caring for Ethan noticed that whenever he was quiet, he seemed like a little adult, his eyes filled with unspoken worries.

“Sweet Ethan, are you missing Mommy?”
the nanny asked.
Ethan immediately wiped the solemn look off his face: “Auntie, why hasn’t Uncle come to see me? Does he hate me? Will he never visit again?”
The nanny’s heart ached.
Alex was so fierce, yet sweet Ethan still longed for him.
“Of course not! I just heard from the butler that Alex and your mommy are coming soon.”
Ethan’s eyes lit up. Finally, he wouldn’t have to lie here anymore. Stupid Daddy, leaving me all alone here – just you wait today!
Maureen came this time planning to thoroughly explore the manor grounds. If Geoffrey refused to release Ethan, she’d find a way to take him away.
Hearing they were coming, Ethan had been waiting at the entrance since early.
“Mommy.”
Seeing his small frame standing in the draft, Maureen immediately stepped forward and embraced him.
“Why stand here?”
She took his hand. “Cold?”
“Not cold.”
After answering, Ethan looked at Geoffrey walking behind Maureen: “Uncle, my legs went numb waiting. Could you carry me inside?”
Maureen immediately responded: “Mommy will carry you.‘
But Ethan shook his head, still watching Geoffrey.
“Uncle, Mommy’s health is poor. Could you carry me instead?”
Maureen felt awkward and was about to persuade Ethan when Geolliey strode forward and lifted him by the overall straps from behind
“Let’s go.”

Ethan dangled mid–air.
Remembering past incidents, Geoffrey deliberately kept distance while holding him.
A mischievous grin curled Ethan’s lips before he kicked backward forcefully, instantly stamping tiny shoe prints across Geoffrey’s dark suit.
His expression instantly darkened.
Ethan kicked and apologized at the same time: “Uncle, I’m sorry, my leg cramped up, wuwuwu, I didn’t mean to kick you.”
With a leg cramp, how could he kick so accurately?
Geoffrey was sure this brat was targeting him on purpose: “It’s okay. Later, Uncle will take a look at your leg.”
After placing Ethan on the sofa in the room, Geoffrey reached for his leg.
