Chapter 31
Sylvie was having the kind of fun she hadn't had in a while. Though, she didn't take any more drinks, the triple shot she had taken was more than enough to keep her going
She wasn't registering the faces of the people she met anymore. All she knew was that a lot of guys were willing to dance with her, and she slid to as many as she could. She had no idea they had been touching her butt. The few times she noticed, she concluded it was a A guy holding a bottle of alcohol caught up with her next
"Hey, angel. You look pretty cool, he had to yell over the music.
Sylvie heard and laughed. "Thank you."
"Here. Want more drink?"
Sylvie was tempted, but hell no, the babies....
"Nah, I'm drunk enough, she giggled.Text © owned by Nôdaisynovel.com.
"You sure? Are you drunk enough to take off your skirt?"
Her eyes widened in surprise, then she laughed. "You're silly!" She hit him on the chest.
He smile back at her. "Nah, I'm not. But I bet you'd like it if I was
Taking up the bottle, he let the liquid pour on her shirt. Sylvie giggled, licking some of it.
"Now, that's fucking beautiful!" He grabbed her ass.
It was only a second before someone pulled him off, forcefully. The guy was about throwing a fist when his eyes ran into Kage's. Although, he didn't know who Kage was, but the young man looked angrier than he was. "Get lost before I do something I won't regret, Kage warned.
"Take a chill pill, asshole, the guy mumbled and tried leaving.
Kage fisted his shirt, pulled him back and delivered a punch to his jaw. "What the fuck did you say?"
The act attracted the few people around them.
The man was surprised, as well as intimidated.
"Hey! What is wrong with you?" He yelled.
Kage shoved him aside, and he left with a glare. After which, Kage reached for Sylvie's hand, pulling her out of the club
Sylvie was still trying to ascertain if she wass seeing things. Because how wes Kage in front of her? Again when she was drunk? And did he just attack that guy?
"Hey...!" She tried to speak, but he couldn't hear her over the music.
As soon as they were outside, she yanked her hand away from his.
"What the hell are you doing!?" She demanded angrily, her cheeks pink. "Why the hell do you keep showing up when I'm drunk? And what makes you think it's cool to do what you did in there? I was having fun!"
Kage let his eyes roam over her. To think she admitted she was having fun while dressed in something like that unnerved him
"Do you really go around, letting every guy touch you while you're in this?" He was rather angry.
Sylvie glanced down at her skirt before scoffing. She was still very drunk, but she remembered what she had on before leaving the house.
"You don't expect me to wear a dinner dress to the club, do your
320 PM
"Maybe, not. And I certainly don't expect you let every guy touch your ass like it's public item."
She rolled her eyes and turned away, heading back to the club. Kage seized wrist before she could go much further.
"Let me go!" She yelled.
"You must be dreaming if you think I'm letting you go back there,"
"And what do you care?" She pushed him, frustrated. But he didn't let go of her wrist. "We're not married anymore. Kage, so you don't have to worry about me bringing a stain to your name! You also have no right to think you can control me! Let me be and go back to you She tried going off again, but Kage wouldn't let her. Sylvie hated how tight his grip on her wrist was, and how it told her he was the only person that could release her.
Now, what the heck? Her life was almost being ruined by him. She was in this present situation because of his sick fiancee, and now, she couldn't even have some fun to clear her head? Just who did he think he was?
She closed
up the distance between them and began hitting him in the chest. Her punches were almost laughable, and Kage couldn't tell if they were that weak because she was drunk.
Then, the worst happened. She threw up on him. Her hand went over her belly as she fell on his chest, while Kage looked like he could throw up as well.
He was frozen and couldn't utter a word, but he knew damn well that he wanted to murder her.
Not even him has ever puked on himself. It was the one thing he's feared and hated.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He growled.
What he got in response was a snicker.
He pulled her away from his chest and discovered she was half asleep already. Yeah, great thing to do after throwing up on
him.
He looked around, there wasn't much of an option. He didn't even know if she had been there with someone or alone. Well, it'd be better if she was alone because no one was actually looking out for her. It's been minutes since he dragged her out of the club. Any one else He took the only option he had left-taking her to his car. He set her in the backseat where she had enough space to lay sleepily. He got into the driver's seat and hit the road, having no destination in mind at first,
He hardly drove out alone, but that day, he wanted to be go out alone.
He questioned himself on where he could possibly take Sylvie. Laying in the backseat, she was already deep asleep.
He was aware she didn't live in her own apartment anymore she had mentioned it one time at work -
but he didn't know where she lived now. Back then, he'd tried getting her reason for moving out of her, but she wouldn't tell him. He concluded it was lady's drama and stayed out of it.
But now, he was stuck. Where could he possibly take her? She was right, why did he keep meeting her in her drunk state? It was unlucky.
Taking a deep breath, he pulled over by the side of the road and placed a call. The old woman picked in an instant. Does she ever fall asleep? He wondered.
"Good evening, sir, she greeted.
"Hi, Nadia. I'll be coming over in some minutes."
"Oh, okay, sir. I'll let the securities know."
The call ended, then he hit the road again.
That was one of his apartments, and he didn't need to ask to know if it was neat and ready to accommodate him. They always. made sure it was neat.
when he was the shoplex.
The weathered around and ove got the front door openest for him. They didn't expect anyone to be in the backseat and were surpesse when he opened it. They tried helping him to get the sleeping Sylvie out dselt he stopped them
He pulled her out of the car, carrying her in his arms, bridal style. She had so much weight, if Kage wasn't a fit man, he'd have dehnte stambled over.
He camed her into the house, took the staircase and stopped in the guest room. Nadia had followed him in from outside
Still getting drunk?" The woman asked, standing at the doorway
emily" Mage sighed, pushing some strands of hair away from her face.
Nadia had been working for him for more than six years. She was more like his chief staff and oversaw the cleaning of all hist Assens in the city
Straighting up, he glanced at the woman.
's late. You should get some sleep, Nadia he inclined his head at the door.
Sha chuckled. Kage has always hated it when she stayed up late to get things done. If it wasn't for the fact that it'd be a rudel thing to do, he'd have fired her already.
But one of these days, he really would fire her. Only he'd place her on a salary so she wouldn't have to worry about money.
"Get going. He insisted.
"She needs to freshen up," she pointed at Sylvie. "Her shirt."
Kage had noticed it on their way there. The sick bastard from the club had poured all of his drink on her and it stunk. Now, he
egretted not giving him a double punch.
He'd need to get changed as well. She'd puked on him, and some of it spilled on her shirt.
"I'll take care It." he sighed. "Go to bed"
"Kage, you know I could just...
"Go to bed. Nadia" he stated dismissively.
Now, the woman knew she had lost the battle against him.
"Okay, fine! I'll leave you to it. Goodnight," she left.
Alone. Kage took a longer look at Sylvie's sleeping form. Her hair was a mess from how much she'd had to dance and dig her fingers into it. How could she even get drunk? Was she forgetting she had to be at the office tomorrow?
He left the room. returning shortly with a T-shirt. Kage had a walk-in closet in the house, but he had no feminine clothes. So, he had to get one of his T-shirts which was quite big. Although, it wasn't bigger than what she wore to the club. As he made to take off her shirt, he realized he'd have to see her partly naked, for the first time. Hopefully, she'd be wearing a

Sitting on the bed, he began pulling the shirt off her head. Fortunately for her she was putting on a bra. But his brows began to pinch together when he discovered her turuny was bigger than usual.
He froze, just when the shirt had gotten to her neck, his hand unable to go any further. Something wasn't right. Why was
Seconds passed. His mind reeled.
He'd seen her on crop tops severally, and her stomach had never been this big, not even close.
Was it normal she only added some weight even if it's only been a few weeks? Was it normal for it to be 'this' round?
she...

His heart skipped a beat. Kage didn't know much about the woman's body. The stomach wasn't exactly too big, but he knew damn well it wasn't normal. It couldn't be.
Touching it, it felt stronger than a normal stomach should be. Suddenly, he could hear his heart echoing in the chambers of his soul.
It took him a while to accept it, but finally he did. What he was touching wasn't just a stomach; it was a baby bump
Sylvie woke up to a strange bedroom. Her head hurt, causing her to still feel dizzy,
She flinched when she discovered her shirt had been changed. What in hell happened to her?
Taking her eyes around, she yelped when she found Kage seated in a corner of the room, staring at her. It was terrifying because he hadn't said a word and she hadn't been expecting to find him there.
Hold on... where was she? The last she could remember was having an argument with someone. Had it been Kage?
"Y... You're here," she gulped, tucking some strands of hair behind her ear.
Kage still didn't say a word. Okay, this was looking creepy.
He had a certain look in his eyes - one that pricked her skin with fear.
She looked around for her phone. It had been in the back pocket of her skirt. She found it on the bedstand. Checking the time, she was alarmed to know it was four a.m. What? She had a sleepover at Kage's place! How was he even in the room with her? Wasn't he supposed to be asleep or something?
