A Dress Made For A Supreme
A Dress Made For A Supreme
The Next Day
Sabine eagerly rocked back and forth in Annie’s dress shop as she waited for Annie to bring out her dress. Nervously, she called out, "I-Is everything alright?”
Morgan laughed, "Don’t worry Sabi, Annie is a genius. I PROMISE you, your dress will be with you in mind.”
Sabine had seen Annie’s work and couldn’t wait to see what her custom made dress would look like. She’d fallen in love with each of the others made before her, and with her and Kai’s wedding quickly approaching, she found herself both nervous and excited. She released the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding in, "Sorry guys, I’m really still processing the fact that I’m getting married-” She rubbed her stomach, "And the fact that your brother knocked me up.”
All four women shared a laugh, stopping when Annie appeared from the back. Holding a simple white gown, she smirked at Sabine’s disappointed reaction. "Plain Jane ain’t it?”
Sabine shook her head feverishly, "NO! I-” She sighed, "I’m sorry that was completely ungrateful of me.”
Annie laughed, "Oh hush up, I’d be disappointed if someone brought this boring dress out to me too. Now humor me, and put it on.”
Confusion lined Sabine's face, but she went to the changing room and still did as she was told. Reemerging, she couldn’t help but feel more disappointed now that she wore the garment. Completely white and loose fitting, it did nothing to flatter her curves.
Rachel turned up her nose, "No offense Mrs.Annie but she looks like she’s wearing something unfinished.”
Annie snapped her fingers, "Now you’re getting it Ali.” Turning she smiled at Sabine, "Put that disappointed aside, close your eyes and feel the fabric.”
Twisting her lips, Sabine closed her eyes, and slowly felt light zaps against her skin. She opened them, "It’s charmed.”
"Yep,” Annie said before yelling, "YOU ALL CAN COME OUT NOW!” One by one, the members of Essential Chaos emerged from the back. Smiles bright, each waved to a confused Sabine.
"Hello Supreme,” Selah said, her smile the biggest.
"What are you all doing here?”
"Mrs.Annie asked for our help with your dress."
Annie walked over and grabbed Sabine’s shoulders, forcing her to look into the mirror. "This is the most ambitious dress I done ever created, but then again, I think we can all agree that you’re one of the most ambitious women we’ve ever met.”
"PREACH MRS. ANNIE!” Alexus shouted, causing everyone to laugh.
Annie smiled, "You see this dress, this was you, or what everyone TOLD you was you. Not much to look at, boring, and a disappointment.” Sabine looked down to the ground, her eyes tearing, and Annie lifted her head back up. "They told you that so much you started to believe it- but Ms.Supreme, the truth is this is NOT you, it’s what they forced you to be because they were afraid of who you really are.” Annie took Sabine’s hand and they slowly started to spin, "You’re a beautiful soul, you’re kind, you’re gentle, you’re all these things despite having them so scarcely given to you.”
Sabine watched as tears slowly started to fall from everyone around her eyes. Looking down, her own widened as her dress slowly started to change. A long emerald train emerged that pulled upward to the flair of a beautiful ball gown. Stunning gold beading laced the fabric, its flecks resembling the luminous light of lighting bugs.
"This is who Kai saw. It’s who he knew you to be even before you knew it yourself.” Annie wiped Sabine's eyes as the cinched waistline of the dress formed leading up to arched off the shoulder sleeving that appeared to drape itself over her, hugging her tightly. Annie stopped their slow spin, and turned Sabine to look in the mirror again. "This is who we all saw, this is who YOU see now and it’s a beautiful thing to witness.”
Sabine covered her mouth as she took in the dress, "Oh my God…”She said as her hands shook. "I-it’s beautiful.” Pulling Annie into her arms, she cried lightly against her, "I-I don’t know what to say.”
Annie laughed, "Say I’m five for five, I’m not one for breaking my record.”
Sabine shook her head feverishly while wiping her eyes. Moving quickly, she embraced each of her coven members, "Thank you so much.”
"Girl Kai’s heart is gonna stop when he sees you. Good thing he doesn’t have asthma anymore.” Morgan said, chuckling.
Annie shrugged, "One thing about Maestro is that the boy has a natural presence. With that in mind, I had to make a dress that was going to blow his little tux out of the water.” All the women shared a laugh as Annie tapped Sabine’s shoulder, "Now give a good jiggle.”
"H-Huh?”
Annie shook her chest from side to side, “Come on now. That baby in there is proof, that yall are doing a lot more than this.”
Face completely flushed, Sabine gave a jiggle and the magic of the dress fell from her body returning it to the original white, loose fitting fabric.
"HOLY FU-” Rachel shouted, completely amazed.
Annie grinned and folded her arms to her chest, "Also with you and Kai in mind. After George destroyed Di’s, the last thing I need is another ruined dress on my hands.”

Later that night
"Are you alright Blaise?” Sabine asked, pulling him yet again out of his trance.
"Huh? Oh, yes.” He said small, "Sorry, I don’t mean to be so distracted."
Sabine shook her head, "It’s okay, I’m just worried. You’ve been a little distracted lately. This is a safe space, you know you can talk to me about anything right?”
Blaise let out a sigh, and swung his little book legs, "I-I know that Beemo and I can’t be intimate, but I’ve been having thoughts.”
Sabine’s eyes widened, "YOU’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SE-”
"NO!” Blaise shouted mortified, "NO! Not those thoughts.”
Grabbing her chest, Sabine exhaled, "Fucking hell, I’m going to be so bad at the sex talk when it’s time to have it with my kid.” Finally calming, she tried again, "Sorry about that, what kind of thoughts have you been having?”
He looked away, "You just said it….kids.”
"Oh…” Sabine replied hesitantly, "You want to have children with Beemo?”
"I KNOW it’s stupid!” Blaise said, accidentally shifting. Using his wing he covered his eyes, "Not like he would want to have them with me anyway. “
"Why wouldn’t I?”
Blaise jumped hearing Beemo behind him. Giving Sabine and Blaise an apologetic look, Kai rubbed the back of his neck, "Sorry, though you did say for me to just come in once I got here.”
She gave him a small smile, "It’s okay, but maybe we should give them some pri-”
"No please, stay,” Blaise said small, worried that he would lose his nerve. Turning back to Beemo who eyed him curiously, he pushed himself to say his next words, "It’s not just kids, it's uh everything. I don’t know, I guess we never even technically addressed the fact that we’re dating, but I assume you know that we’re dating-” He covered his face again, "Not that I’m demanding that we date, I’m just saying you’re a spellbook, I’m a spellbook and we spend a lot of time together….plus I was LITERALLY made for you.”
Beemo shifted into his black panther, and shook his head amused, "Is that your roundabout way of saying you wish to get married and have children"”
Realizing how impossible that was, Blaise whispered, "Nevermind”
"Actually, Beemo asked me about it the other day, he was trying to figure out a way to bring up the topic with you.” Kai interjected. He folded his arms to his chest, "Sabine and I were talking about it, and we think it would be pretty badass for you two to have a ceremony with us...I mean yeah maybe you can’t get married legally, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a ceremony.”
"Double wedding!” Sabine said excitedly. She rubbed Blaise’s head, "And we were also talking and, well the baby is going to need their own spellbook so….”
Blaise's eyes shot to Beemo who smirked at him, "You thought about all of this?”
Beemo nodded, "Duh. I mean it’s not like we’re going anywhere especially now that these two are getting married and put a bun in the oven.” He rolled his eyes in pretend anger, "But even if they hadn't, I’d still feel the same. I love you and all that mushy shit.”
Blaise turned up his nose, "That’s not how you ask.”
Eyes wide, Beemo looked at Kai, "Wha-he thinks-bu-THIS WAS HIS IDEA!”
Kai shrugged, "Ehhh technically it was yours first.” He smirked, "That’s why Sabine had to propose to me. Lucky for her, I finally acc-AAAAA” He bleated as Sabine changed him back into a sheep. He glared at her, "Really?”
"Take a page from Sterling, and learn when to be quiet.” She replied laughing.
He cut his eyes into slits, "Okay, okay, bet. See before, a brother had no clue how to work his powers, but now it’s on like Donkey Kong.”
Before Sabine could get another word out, she felt the zap of Kai’s magic. "AHHH!” She belted as her oversized breast pushed her forward causing her to bounce back and forth. Trying to find her balance, she waved her hands wildly, "THIS IS NOT FUCKING FUNNY KAI!”
He jumped up and down on his hooves, "NO IT’S FUCKING HILARIOUS! You look like one of them stand-up boxing buddies.” He laughed harder, 'Try to stay still Doe, you can do it.” Beemo and Blaise shifted and folded their lips,
"This-we’re going to be with this forever.” Beemo said, partially terrified.
Kai shook his head, "I don’t even know why you tripping Sabine, all I did was go up a cup size.”
“OHHH YOUUU-” Her eyes burned bright. Removing his magic, she zapped him again, turning him into a snail.
"STOPPPP!” He shouted slowly, as she pretended she was going to step on him, causing him to try his hardest to get away. Fed up, his eyes matched hers and the two proceeded into a playful war. Blaise and Beemo sat silently as they watched the two turn each other into different people and things.
"YOU GAVE ME A MUSTACHE!” She roared.
Kai sneered, "Now I definitely see the resemblance between you and grandma Mable.”
"MY GRANDMOTHER DOES NOT HAVE A MUSTACHE!”
"Oh yes, she does! She rolled up in here looking like a baby Hulk Hogan.” Kai doubled over laughing, stopping the moment he felt a hard slap against his head.
Knowing what happened, Sabine sneered, "And again, learn when to be quiet.”
"My bad gram gram, it was just too good of an insult to pass up.” He muttered apologetically before his words stopped and his eyes shot open. Running his hands down his back, he cut his eyes into Sabine, "How.dare.you?!”
"Kia, hey girl, missed you something serious!” She winked. Continuing to go back and forth, they both landed on something that made them stop at the same time.
Kai looked at the eyeballs on his fingers, "Oh shit! You were thinking Beetlejuice too?!”
Sabine looked at him through her elongated mouth, "Yeah! I remember you said it was your favorite movie and we were supposed to watch it, but your schedule got really busy.”
He placed his hands on his hips, "Damn, I have been neglecting you a bit huh? I’m just trying to get everything in line, I want to make sure when we get married and the baby comes I can be as present as I need and want to be.”
Sabine fiddled with her fingers, "I-I know. I just-you know, be missing you and stuff. I could have communicated how I was feeling though, I’m sorry.”
"I’m sorry too. Your schedule is hectic as hell and you still make time for me. I’mma work on that.” He thought for a second, "Oh, and I’m sorry I talked about your grandmother’s mustache. She does look great for her age, I really did think she was a kid...with a mustache...”
She waved him off, "It’s cool, you weren’t lying. Her lineup is cleaner than yours, and yours is pristine.” She felt a swipe against her head, and she grumbled, "Sorry...but it’s true.” Attempting to hug, they laughed at how ridiculous they looked. Turning back into themselves, they kissed and then turned to Beemo and Blaise.
"Why yall looking at us like that?” Kai asked, confused.
“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!” Blaise shouted.
Sabine shrugged, "I’m not understanding what’s the problem.”
Looking at one another, Beemo and Blaise decided it was best to leave the subject alone.
Beemo tapped Blaise. "Okay, Blaise, will you do me the honor of surviving life with these lunatics?”
Blaise grabbed his chest, "That’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. Of course!” Hugging, they held hands and left to discuss their joint wedding.
Kai and Sabine looked at one another, "We’re not lunatics.” He said, huffing.
"Not me, but you, I thought we already covered the insan-” Sabine cut her words, and raced away laughing as he chased her.
