Chapter 90

When Rob Turner asked to check out the goods, Gary was totally caught off guard.

"Inspect the goods?" he thought, his eyes wide with confusion and a bit of panic.

Greg Phillips never mentioned anything about this! Gary felt like a deer in headlights, his mind blank and clueless about what to do next.

His hands were sweaty, gripping his shirt tightly, and he was shaking a bit, clearly super nervous.

Henry, who was nearby, saw Gary's reaction and knew he was freaking out.

If Henry didn't step in soon, all their efforts would go down the drain.

With that in mind, Henry kept his cool smile, gave Gary a firm pat on the shoulder, and said loudly, "Gary, what are you waiting for? Let Mr. Turner inspect the goods."

His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear, with a hint of urgency.

Gary's lips trembled, showing his hesitation.

He was worried that inspecting the goods might cause problems, but also scared that not following Rob's order would raise suspicion.

Before he could think more, Henry jumped in, taking over the inspection.

Henry picked up the tools with a respectful smile and handed them to Rob.

He looked like a subordinate eager to please his boss.

As Henry handed over the tools, Rob's eyes showed a flicker of doubt.

Rob squinted, watching Henry closely, and asked, "You seem pretty good at this. Done it before?"

Rob's gaze was sharp, looking for any slip in Henry's response.

"Used to run the border," Henry replied calmly, keeping his cool.

But inside, he was on high alert, knowing Rob was testing him.

Sure enough, when Henry mentioned running the border, Rob's expression softened a bit, but his eyes were still scrutinizing.

Rob asked, "What were you running at the border? Isn't business better there? Why'd you come back?"

"Though the profits were good, the risks were too high. Dealing with the locals, one wrong move and I could lose my life, so..." Henry paused, looking more humble. "I thought I'd see if there was a chance to work with Mr. Turner, make some money."

He spoke while watching Rob's reaction, trying to read him.

Rob didn't reply right away. Instead, he took the drugs from Henry and sniffed them.

Moments later, his expression turned serious, his gaze coldly fixed on Henry and Gary, and a hint of threat in his tone. "This stuff isn't right. Damn it, you trying to fool me?"

Rob's voice was low and icy, creating a tense atmosphere in the room.

"Of course not, Mr. Turner, what a joke." Henry kept smiling, quickly thinking of a response.

"How about I check it?" he said, reaching for the items on the table and pretending to inspect the goods carefully.

But then, Rob suddenly grabbed Henry's hand.

Rob's eyes showed suspicion, speaking slowly, "That's enough. The money's in the case. Leave the drugs and take the case.""Sure thing, thanks, Mr. Turner." Henry kept his smile on, hiding his suspicion. He casually walked up to grab the case, but inside, he was on high alert.

After securing the case, he signaled to Gary, and without hesitation, they quickly exited the restaurant.

As they reached the entrance, Sophia, who had been watching from the shadows, knew it was time to act.

She focused on her earpiece, her eyes determined, and decisively said, "Move in!"

In an instant, officers hidden in various corners around the area sprang into action, moving swiftly towards their targets.

Despite being mentally prepared, Gary was still stunned by the sudden turn of events. His eyes widened in terror, and his body trembled uncontrollably. He was completely panicked, his mind blank, and he did not know what to do.

In his panic, he suddenly felt a cold, hard object pressed against him. He instinctively turned his head to see Carl, who had opened the door for them, standing behind him with a furious expression, cursing, "Damn it, you guys are undercover?"

Carl's eyes were filled with anger and hatred, his weapon glinting menacingly in the light.

"What are you talking about? We're not undercover!" Henry retorted without hesitation.

As he spoke, he glanced around, seeing the officers approaching, and quickly thought of a plan. He grabbed Carl, pretending to be anxious. "We need to run now! We'll be too late if we wait."

Henry's tone was urgent, trying to convince Carl they had no connection with the police and just wanted to escape the danger.

"Damn it! We'll deal with Greg after this." Carl spat angrily, not thinking further, and turned to run back into the restaurant to warn Rob.

Rob, having spent years on the streets, had a keen sense of danger. Hearing Carl's report, he immediately realized the situation was bad and decisively led his men to retreat along a pre-planned route.

Using their knowledge of the terrain, they navigated the narrow alleys, trying to evade the police.

After a chaotic chase, they managed to escape temporarily.

But before Henry and his group could catch their breath, they suddenly found several guns pointed at them.

Henry's heart tightened, but he kept up his angry facade, cursing, "Mr. Turner, is this how you treat your partners?"

His eyes reflected confusion and anger as he tried to assert his dominance.

He said, "Just finished the deal, and the cops show up. Damn it, you owe us an explanation. The cops followed you here."

Rob's eyes were filled with suspicion and anger. He was gripping his gun tightly, his finger on the trigger, ready to shoot.

"I was just about to inspect the goods for you, Mr. Turner. The cops wouldn't dare." Henry argued loudly, trying to clear himself and Gary.

Meanwhile, on a nearby rooftop, Sophia had already set up her sniper rifle. Her eyes were focused and determined, locking onto Henry and Rob through the scope.

Seeing Henry with a gun to his head, she felt her heart clench. Taking a deep breath, her finger steady on the trigger, she fired without hesitation.

The bullet whistled through the air.

As the red dot appeared, Henry knew it was his moment to act. Seizing the opportunity, he lunged at Rob, shouting, "There's a mole! The cops were tipped off!"
