Chapter 99 Chapter 50

Chapter 99 Chapter 50
Lhalhaine was smiling as she walked towards the door of Tyeron's house. It turns out it's just near Maximo's house. It's only a few blocks before his house. Luckily, Lara was there and offered to leave just Throne to her. At first, she didn't agree, but her cooking time took longer than she expected, and her child fell asleep, so she had to leave him behind. At the door, she took a deep breath before placing her hand on the doorbell.

She also pressed the doorbell several times before it opened. Tyeron's handsome face appeared before her. Just like the first time they met at her Lara's house, his hair was still long, but his lips were no longer pale. Her eyes lingered there for a moment until she realized Tyeron had shaved his beard, revealing the beauty of his kissable lips, and she swallowed hard.

“Hey, are you okay?” the man asked her.

She looked away and bowed her head; she couldn't meet his gaze. She feels shy.

“What brings you here?” he added seriously.

“Ahmm, because—”

“Babe, who's there?” asked a gentle voice from inside Tyeron's home.

She blinked repeatedly, feeling like he had gone deaf. A woman? That's a woman's voice, that girl called Tyeron, babe! It seemed like she wanted to go inside to confirm, but it didn't seem necessary anymore. A short-haired woman with a large build but a curvy figure appeared, clung to Tyeron's arm, and looked at her. She couldn't help but look at her from head to toe.

"She's just a friend, babe," Tyeron replied casually to the woman.

But it had a strange impact on her heart then. It hurts like hell! He indeed has amnesia; he forgot about her, but it still hurts to be denied.

“Oh? Really, nice to meet you. I'm Gleanne Joyz Pineda, Tyeron's fiancée. And you are?” She introduced herself with a smile.

.

She looked up so the tears welling in her eyes wouldn't fall, and she forced a smile.

"Nice to meet you, I-I'm Lhalhaine, a friend of Tyeron and Mikael," she replied softly, quickly hiding the cookies she was carrying.

The joy and excitement she had earlier seemed to have vanished like a bubble. The hope she was desperately trying to build was suddenly shattered by them. She blinked when someone touched her hand.

“Come, let's go inside. I wanted to get to know you better. This is the first time I've seen my babe's best friend, a girl," the woman said with a smile and then pulled her inside.

She was like a lifeless robot being dragged by the woman. When they arrived in the living room of Tyeron's house.

“Oh, you have cookies. Can I see them? Or maybe can I taste it?” the woman asks her like a child.

She stared at the woman and turned her eyes to the man who was quietly looking at her.

"S-Sure," she replied.

The woman took the box from her hand and quickly opened it. She kept talking, but she didn't understand anything. She just stared at the man sitting in front of her.

“Tyeron, don't you miss me? Don't you love me anymore? Because, baby, I miss you so much, so much..." she wanted to say out loud, but she kept her mouth shut.

The man suddenly stood up, causing Gleanne to look up, seemingly surprised by the man's action as well.

“Babe? Where are you going? Try these cookies; they taste delicious. Did you bake these, Lhalhaine?” the woman asked her with a smile.

She nodded slightly. Tyeron stared at the heart-shaped cookies and then at her. She lowered her gaze; she couldn't handle his gaze.

“Are you two really that close?” the woman asked suddenly after taking her eyes off to Tyeron.

She looked up at her. "We're not just close; he's the father of my child... the man I love," she wanted to say, but she knew she couldn't.

She just nodded and forced herself not to cry.

“Oh, that's nice. Can we be friends too?” she asked, which she didn't expect.

"You are invited to our wedding, and it's two weeks from now," Gleanne added with a smile when she didn't respond.

She just smiled and stood up; she couldn't stay in that place any longer. She wanted to leave because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to control herself, and she would cry.

"I need to go..." she said softly.

Gleanne stared at her in surprise. "Now already?"

She nodded. "Thank you," she said and quickly stood up and left that place.

She felt like she would lose her breath if she stayed in that place any longer. Her heart felt like it was going to burst with pain, and she walked blankly down the street, heading towards a destination she didn't know.

She sat down on the side of the road when she felt her knees go weak.

“Why? Am I too late? I've only been gone for two days, and when I get back, you're already with someone else? Is there no hope for the two of us anymore?” she asked the air, crying.

She felt her pocket. She needed someone to talk to; she felt like she would go crazy if she didn't have someone to talk to at that moment. She immediately saw Mikael in her phone book because he was always first, and he was the only one who could answer her questions about the sudden appearance of a woman claiming to be Tyeron's fiancée. She dialed the number several times, but no one answered.

“Kael, please! Please answer!” she pleaded with tears in her eyes.

“Hello?”

“Kael...”

The other line fell silent upon hearing her voice.

“Did you cry? ”

“Where are you? Please, come visit me...I need to talk with you," she replied, still crying.

“Where are you?”

She told her where she was, and a red sports car arrived in front of her after a few minutes.

Mikael got out of the car and immediately walked towards her.

“What happened? Why are you crying?’ He asked her worriedly.

She shook her head. “Get me out of here, Kael, please.”

The man touched her cheek, and then he pulled her to hug her. Her face was buried in the man's chest.

"Just cry as much as you need; I won't look," he whispered kindly, stroking her hair as if to comfort her.

She howled with tears. They stayed like that for a few minutes until the man led her into his car.
