Chapter 100 Chapter 51
Chapter 100 Chapter 51
Meanwhile, Tyeron became restless when Lhalhaine suddenly left in a hurry. He's been noticing something strange since earlier. He could read the pain in her eyes when their eyes met, and when Gleanne said she was his fiancée, he got confused. Why did the woman react like that? Does she have a crush on him? And why did he visit her at her house, bringing cookies with him? He rubbed his face. He grabbed the jacket hanging on the side and hurried out. He hadn't gone far yet; he didn't know it, but he felt like he needed to talk to Lhalhaine.
“Babe, where are you going?” Gleanne asked in surprise as he passed in front of her.
“I just need to buy something. Stay here, okay? I'll be back," he replied seriously.
"Okay," the woman replied, and then turned her attention back to the TV.
He was about to turn around when he saw the familiar figure of the man and the car. He wasn't mistaken; he saw Mikael. He became even more confused. What was Mikael doing here?? Why did it stop? His house is still far away if he's the one it's after. He was about to approach his friend, but he saw Mikael was helping a woman to stand up, and he even touched the woman's cheek. The back and clothes are familiar to him; it's Lhalhaine. He didn't know, but he clenched his fist when Mikael suspected the woman was going to hug her.
“Are the two of them in a relationship? And they're just hiding it from him and all of them, but why?” he looks away when Mikael helps Lhalhaine get in his car.
“Fuck this heart of mine! Why? I felt an unexplainable pain. I'm confused," he asked, running his hand over his face.
Why does it seem like he wants to pull Lhalhaine away from Mikael's arm? Why does it seem like he wants to break his friend's neck? Does he have feelings for the woman? But how did that happen? He just saw her there, and besides, it looks like she's having a secret affair with his friend. His mind is messed up by what's happening.
"AHHH!!" he screams when he feels an intense pain in his head. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself. After a few minutes, the pain fades.
"I need to know why I feel this way toward that girl," he murmured while he was walking toward his home.
That day, Mikael drove her to the place she and Throne lived. He also carried her child. Thankfully, her child was already asleep during the trip, but tears still fell from her eyes. Mikael didn't comment at all until they arrived at her house.
“Did you know about her, Kael?” she asked the man after he had laid Throne on the bed.
Mikael looked at her and then sighed.
“Do you remember the night I came here? You were with Tyron back then," he began.
She nodded. “Why?”
“That night, I found out about Gleanne. She's Tyeron's fiancée, even before you two met, but the engagement wasn't made official because Tyeron was still in a coma back then—”
She cut off his explanation. “Did they have past relationships?”
He avoided eye contact, which made her even more nervous.
“Answer me, Kael! Are they exes? Why now? Why does she need to come back now? Why?” she asked, her curiosity tinged with tears.
"I don't know, Lyn," he answered softly.
She sat at the edge of the bed, placing her hand over her face. She looked up when Mikael put his hand on her shoulder.
"You still have a chance, so don't lose hope," the man said seriously.
“How?” she asked with a furrowed brow.
“Tomorrow, Gleanne will fly back to her parents' home. She'll be back after a week, so you still have a chance. Make Tyron fall in love with you while Gleanne is away. You need to win his heart again. Try your best to win his heart and make him remember you," she advised gently.
“How am I supposed to do that, Kael?” she asked.
He shrugged. "Seduce him."
She didn't know if she should laugh because it was the same thing Shyra had told him.
“I'll find a way for you to see him every day. All you need to do is seduce him and get his attention, okay?”
She was stunned by the man. “Okay, thank you, Kael.”
He just nodded and then stood up. “Tomorrow, I'll text you. For now, rest, okay?” he insisted seriously and then walked out.
She just watched the man's receding figure.
The next day, her eyes were swollen from crying. Her every movement was also restless; she felt like she was a living dead. She didn't bake anything well; all she could think about was how to win back the man she loved. She blinked when something caught her attention.
“Chef!!”One of her assistants called her from her cafe.
She was a Filipina; her coffee shop manager's name is Rita when she's not here.
“Why?” she asked lifelessly.
"Someone's looking for you outside," Rita replied, watching her.
“Are you okay, Chef? You have been down lately. If you'd like to rest at home for now, we can handle things here. Oh, by the way, she's your friend, the one who was looking for you.”
She just nodded and took off her apron. Shyra waved at her with a smile, yes, Shyra. She was also surprised; she was the one looking for her; she thought it was Mari. Upon seeing her expression without a smile, it was replaced with surprise and concern. It immediately approached her and led her to the table at the very edge.
“What happened to you??? Why do you look like you lost someone?” Shyra asked immediately.
Tears welled up in her eyes. She embraces how broken she was.
“Omg! Why are you crying over there? You look like an idiot! What exactly happened?” Shyra asked with curious eyes.
“It's gone! It's over, Shy," she replied, sniffling.
“Ouch! Why? “ she groaned.
The witch just pushed her forehead.
“It suits you; you're so dramatic! What happened, exactly? Tell me a story so I can relate, instead of just being emo over there like an idiot!”
Shyra said. So, she tells her about what happened yesterday.
Shyra listened to her quietly while sipping her coffee, as if she were just listening to a radio drama. Would she still be surprised? Oh, her friend is crazy.
“They're not even married yet! So don’t overthink everything. You know, friend, the solution to your problem is quite simple! Just seduce Tyeron before it’s too late," Shyra commented after she finished her story.
She grimaced. "That's my problem, Shy. I don't know anything about that seduction thing.”
Shyra slammed her hand onto the table. "Oh yeah, you're Maria Clara, huh? Hmmm, first we need to change your clothes. You look like you have ten children with that outfit. Then we'll go to the parlor. Don't worry, Shyra is here to cheer you up... so let's go, friend," she said, sounding crazy, and then pulled her.
