Chapter 97 Chapter 48

Chapter 97 Chapter 48
When they arrived at the condo where she was staying, the man quickly opened the door for her, and she was even more surprised when the man took Throne, whom she was carrying.

“Wait—” He cut her off by speaking.

"I'll take you two to your unit. Throne is very heavy for you; let me carry it instead," he explained gently and went ahead.

She stared at the man's receding.

"Let's go," he said to her when she looked back at him.

She quickly stepped forward and joined him.

As they reached the outside of her unit, she shyly looked up and parted her lips.

“Thank you so much.”

And Throne was about to be taken from here after him, after she said what she wanted to say.

"Let me in, I'll put him in bed," he insisted seriously, as if she no longer had the right to refuse.

She looked up and was already unlocking the door. She went in first, and then Tyeron followed.

“Where's the throne room?” he immediately asks her.

"In my room," she replied, pointing to the closed room.

She opened the door, and Tyeron immediately entered, heading towards the small bed beside her own.

There is a railing there to prevent their child from falling. He carefully laid Throne there. She quietly watched the two, biting her lower lip when Tyeron kissed Throne's forehead. She looked up so the tears wouldn't fall from her eyes.

"I'm leaving now," he said casually and stared at her.

She nodded and led the way as they left the room. She noticed it was raining outside, not just a drizzle, but a heavy downpour. Just as the man was about to open the doorknob, she stopped him with her hand, grabbing his arm. She stepped back when she felt the strange current flowing through her hand towards different parts of her body, and it seemed they had the same reaction.

The man's body also seemed burned.

He cleared his throat. “Why? Do you need anything?”

“Ahmm, it's raining outside; it's better if you let it pass. it's dangerous to travel if there’s a heavy rain—”

He cut her off. “You want me to stay?” He asked seriously and looked her directly in the eye.

Here comes those looks again, as if he's examining her soul. She averted her gaze.
"You want me to stay, Lyn?" He repeated it, but this time the man approached her, causing her to back away.

“Just the three of us here, I can do whatever I want to you, and no one will know. You trusted me that much, to let me stay here for so long," he said, pulling her waist closer and cupping her cheek.

She closed her eyes, she missed his touch so much.

Though it was against her will, she gently pushed the man's chest, causing him to step back and release her.

“Okay, I'll stay,” he'll agree later.

She was secretly pleased. “I'll cook you dinner then.”

He looked at her as if he hadn't expected her to react that way.

“Okay.”

She was in the kitchen while Tyeron was in the living room. She cooked his favorite adobo, the same dish she used to make for the man when she was his chef. She was singing while she was cooking.

She's really happy because she can cook for the man again. She let out a sigh. Later, the adobo she cooked was ready. She was preparing what she needed and the table, and she smiled as she looked at the table.

"Eat," she said with a smile.
The man turned towards him and stood up. He took the lead as soon as he sat down. She immediately set the table with a plate, rice, and the dish, while he silently watched her. She bit her lip when she noticed the man was quiet.

"Sorry," she said and quickly sat down.

“It's okay. Why does it seem so natural for you to serve me? Have you done this before? Have we eaten together before?” Tyeron asks her.

She opened her mouth, about to answer, when the doorbell rang, and she quickly stood up.

"Wait," she said, heading towards the door.

Tyeron keeps staring at the familiar food in front of him. As if he had already done this before with Lhalhaine. He really couldn't explain what he was truly feeling. He feels something is missing from his life; he feels like something is lacking. He forgot something every time he looked at Lhalhaine. What he read in her eyes was different: a longing, sadness, and pain. Add to that, he always wants to see it, especially his child. Throne melted his heart every time he looked at him. He felt like he was staring at a mirror. He blinked when he heard the familiar voice.

“Lyn, can we talk?” Mikael asked a serious question.

They were still quite far away, but he could already hear their voices.

"Not now, Kael," the woman gently refused.

“But why?” Mikael asked the woman and was about to take Lhalhaine's hand.

He quickly stood up and went to where they were.

“T-Tyreon?” Mikael exclaimed in surprise.

He heard Lhalhaine sigh.

“What are you doing here?” He asked seriously and pulled Lhalhaine to his side.
Mikael's surprised face was replaced by comfort. His friend suddenly smiled as if he had something unpleasant planned.

"Checking Lhalhaine," he replied with a smile.

He saw Lhalhaine raise an eyebrow. Mikael and Lhalhaine locked eyes. He doesn't know, but he's annoyed, as if he wants to break Mikael's neck.

“And why will you do that?” He coldly asks.

Mikael laughed completely. “It's a secret, Tyeron. By the way, why are you here? I thought you were having a family dinner with your father tonight," he asked seriously. Mikael was serious, as if he didn't like his question.

"Ahem, let's eat first," Lhalhaine said gently and pulled him back to the dining room.
