Chapter 53
Karan looks at Aaron who is staring at him with anger but there is also a smirk on his face. He then looks at Max who is looking at him with a questioning gaze. 

But before anyone could say anything, Karan himself comes to the help because his lover won't let him in peace if he stays silent. He has to do something and fix this before it gets anymore difficult than it already is. He comes forward and tells him "What I meant was, that Kate is a little bit clumsy and at times she kind of gets crazy and in that process she fucks up everything and that's what I meant. That is what I have asked Aaron to tell you teasing them as Kate gets super clumsy and fucks up things with her craziness" 

Kate looks at him with her mouth open, she ar that moment wanted to smack him for ruining her impression in front of Max. Aaron is also furious hearing him but then he looks at his friend Max who is having a small smile on his face and tells him "Yeah he is right buddy. That's what he meant. Kate actually gets super clumsy and fucks up things with her craziness but then she has become like a family for us now and we always tease her for her this craziness" Kate got furious hearing him in the beginning. But then her anger died when he called her family. Family is a weakness for her. Family is a word that she loves the most ahd feels the most. And when he called her his family, she has felt a kind of peace sweep through her heart. Even though in the beginning she wanted to smack him but then seeing the smile on his face and the way he has said it, her heart fluttered and she felt happy and peace at that moment. She felt uncontrollable happiness in her heart and she let him go this time forgiving his actions of making her feel awkward in front of Max. Aaron turns to her ahd giving her a pleading look, he apologises and blows a kiss at her making her shake her head at him with a chuckle which makes him smile as well. He gestures her to look at Max and she looks at him. He has a small and beautiful smile on his face seeing her angry red tomato face and the way his friends are teasing her and she at that moment understood that he has made fun of her because Max is smiling seeing them teasing her. Kate feels good knowing that they love Max soo much. And they have a unbreakable bond with him. But she doesn't understand what bond does he have with Karan. But the way they hugged each other and the emotions that can be felt around them can't be wrong and she was damn sure that he must have been very emotional when Karan has hugged him because she has felt that emotions in his eyes which he covered with his anger. Their relationship is still a mystery for her and she has decided that she will definitely know about their past and what drove them away from each other in rhe past for sure. Kate won't let this go and in some way she felt that Aaron's happiness lied in them and she will reuinte them to give him the happiness and bring him out of his grief. 

Aaron sees her lost in thoughts and shakes his head at her curiously. He keeps his hand on her shoulder which brings her out of her thoughts and she looks at him with confusion but then realising that she was lost in her thoughts, she gives him a sheepish smile which makes him smile and admire that innocent look on her face. 

Twinkle and Karan are still shocked hearing him. He has called her a family which he has never done with anyone outside their group. He don't call both of them family anymore but still it is weird for them. They are shocked, lost and what not. They can't comprehend anything at that moment or his thoughts at that moment. But in their heart they both felt happy knowing that he is actually moving on from his past and is actually attached to Kate closely. They both look at each other and give each other a smile. They are happy with this change in him and this is what they always wanted in him. They always wanted him to be happy and him to be settled in his life with a deserving person in his life. And Kate is that deserving person. They both are grateful to her giving Max a new life and grateful to her for giving their another friend Aaron a relief, happiness and for saving him from grief. They are happy that she has given him a chance at love ahd a chance at happiness. They owe her for giving them Max back and for giving Aaron some thing to hold upon and that is her. Aaron watches Karan and Twinkle staring at them but he didn't see jealousy or hatred, all he saw at that moment was admiration, understanding, good intentions, friendship and love. He frowns his eye brows seeing them like that. He was expecting to see venomous, evil, hatred filled, wicked, cruel and disgusted eyes but at that moment he didn't see any of it. All he saw was good intentions in their eyes and that made him frown with confusion. He for a moment doubted his judgement for judging his friends but then Karan and Twinkle who has noticed that he caught them staring at them, they cover up their real emotions with a blank look and giving him a wicked and evil smile, he has always expected, they both turn their face away. Aaron should be angry on them and would feel like killing them but instead this time, he felt pity for them and this time his heart doesn't want to trust the hatred and wickedness they showing in their eyes. Twinkle and Karan feel his eyes on them and they both turn to see Aaron staring them. They both instantly turn their face away from him which is really weird for Aaron. Shouldn't they be giving him a wicked look but instead they looked like they are caught. Aaron shakes his head to come out of those silly thoughts. And sees that Kate is sitting beside Max who is staring her with some thing he has never seen in his eyes and something beautiful in his eyes. Aaron didn't mind much as Max is like a brother to him and it is happiness for him if his Kate looks after him. Kate slowly makes him sip water because he has coughed which they didn't hear because of their thoughts in which they are lost but Twinkle didn't fail to notice the admiration in his eyes for her and they both looked at each other with fear. They already have soo many problems to face and they don't want another problem to add up to their already existing problems. 

Twinkle and Karan don't want their brother and best friend to fall for Kate and the story to become a love triangle. They can't let him fall for her as it is not healthy for their friendship. They can't tell him right away that Kate is Aaron's mistress as well because it will mess up everything and what if it has a bad affect on him. They both are again struck in a situation which they can't solve. It is like a bitter medicine struck in their throat which they can neither spit nor gulp. Karan goes and sits on the other side of the bed while Kate is sitting on the right side o
f the bed.
