Chapter 60 Chapter 60

Chapter 60 Chapter 60

Isla's POV

We ran up the hill and we saw sight of the sun setting. It had been over a month since we had encountered Athena and barely escaped.

We were in the lands of the druids now, every stop we took, drew us closer to them. Trainings, watch nights, vigils each day brought us closer and now was our time, we came with the hope that that they had found their key and also by sister. The books had said things about them being what we call the truth so now I hope they are the truth.

"Finally." Devonye cried out as she stopped at the top of the hill and began panting.

Over the past month, the trainings, trials, challenges and happy times we had shared drew us closer. Sometimes we'd look at her index and make a joke about it.

"I feared I would have died." Twilight said, reaching the top of the hill last.

“Remember our deal, last one to get to the hil builds the tent.” Devonye said, all smiley looking at Twilight.

“You all know i’m the fastest I just let you have it.” Twilight said.

We raced back down as the dark clouds covered the skies so we could build the tents, and sleep for tomorrow was the day we met with the druids.

I closed my eyes and tried to remember Faenik but what I saw was entirely different.

I saw Fae and Ryaknorg, James had them. Chains were on their legs, dragging them.

“Save me!” Fae cried out looking in my direction.

“Time is running out.” Ryaknorg growled.

I shot my eyes open and started breathing heavily.

I looked over to Twilight and Devonye, they slept there like nothing else in the world mattered to them. I looked outside the tent, the moon just shone brightly its light covering a great amount of the earth from where we were.

I sat by a stone and allowed the breeze to touch my skin. I could feel the breeze with all my senses. I closed my eyes again.

A dragon swooped down, and everyone screamed. It landed in the center of the courtyard. The dragon raised its head and let out a roar that shook the ground.
It was looking at me. My heart hammering, the dragon stepped closer. The crowd parted like water.
It stared at me, and I stared back. Then it leaned down, and its hot breath brushed my face.
I felt something warm and strange in my chest.
The dragon’s eyes glowed, and a voice echoed inside my head.
Twilight Draven.
I felt a pull, like a string tugging me forward. My legs moved without me telling them to.
I walked toward the dragon, and the world seemed to slow down.
When I reached it, the dragon lifted its head and then I saw Isla.
She was standing beside the dragon, smiling at me like she had been waiting.
Her hair shone in the sunlight. Her eyes looked softer than ever.
She reached out her hand.
“Twilight,” she said, and her voice was gentle. “Come here.”
I stepped closer. She grabbed my hand. I leaned in. My lips brushed hers.
I lifted my hands and held her face gently. She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me close, like she did not want to let go.
The kiss deepened. My tongue traced the seam of her lips. A low moan vibrated in her throat, and I swallowed it.
“Twilight,” she gasped.
I found the neckline of her dress, pulling it down to expose the swell of her breast. I took her nipple into my mouth, caressing it with my tongue before sucking deeply. She cried out, her back bowing off the ground.
Her hands were everywhere, pulling at my clothes, desperate to feel skin. We undressed each other in a frantic, silent dance. Then we were naked, the sun warm on our bodies.
I looked down at her, at the perfect curves and fierce eyes now dark with desire.
“I want you,” I said, the words raw.
“Then take me,” she breathed.
I kissed my way down her stomach, lower. I settled between her thighs. The scent of her arousal, musky and sweet, filled my senses. I licked a slow, torturous stripe through her folds. She jerked, a broken sob escaping her.
I worshipped her with my mouth, learning what made her gasp, what made her thighs tremble. Her hips began to move against me, a rhythmic rocking. Her
pleasure became my own, a building tension in my belly. I slid a finger inside her, then another, curling them as my tongue circled her clit.
“Yes… please… there…” she chanted, her voice cracking. Her climax hit her suddenly. She screamed, her body seizing, her inner muscles
clenching around my fingers in waves. I held her through it, gentling my touch until she lay spent, panting.
But she wasn’t done. In a fluid motion, she rolled us over, pinning me beneath her. Her eyes blazed. “My turn.”
She kissed me hard, then moved down my body. Her mouth on my breast was searing. Her hand stroked my inner thigh, higher, until her fingers found my slick heat. She pushed two fingers inside me, and I nearly shattered right then.
“Isla,” I begged, my hips lifting.
“I know,” she murmured. She began to move her fingers in a steady, driving
rhythm, her thumb pressing circles on my clit. The pleasure was unbearable, coiling tight and hot.
“Come for me,” she commanded.
It broke over me like a storm. A white hot release tore through my body, I cried out her name.
She held me as I trembled, pressing soft kisses to my shoulder.
Then, a sound tore through the peaceful clearing, harsh and deafening.
A dragon’s roar, my eyes flew open.
I was in my cold, dark cell. The thin blanket was tangled around my legs. My heart was pounding, my skin slick with sweat, between my thighs. The echo of the roar still vibrated in the stones.
I opened my eyes again, this time my breath faster than the last, who was that, why could I not remember when this happened.

“I want you,” I said, the words raw.
“Then take me,” she breathed.
It was Twilight and I, long before we became mates. But this never happened in real life, could that mean…
I opened my eyes in realization, Twilight had dreamt of it. But why was this dream coming to me and why now?
“Isla, are you there?” Devonye’s voice called out.
“Yes…yes…I am.” I answered stuttering, my voice breaking.
“Why are you up at this time is everything good?” She asked.
“Yes, yes I am.” I answered, immediately standing up so she wouldn't see the fear written all over my face.
“Tell me what's wrong?” Twilight came out, wearing her shirt over her head.
“It's nothing to be worried about I promise.” I answered, bending my head and wanting to go into the tent that she had built, when she drew me back and kissed me.
Flashbacks from the dream we both had came rushing in my mind.
"We have to move as fast as possible." I said, looking at both of them before I entered the tent.

There was a dragon at the beginning of the dream and in my vision or whatever it was there was also a dragon, could that be the connection?

Could it be that the dreams were interlinked.

"Isla, it's the middle of the night, you have to tell us if you sw something so we would know how to move." Twilight said.

The way she held me in her dream that I had were giving me flashbacks and I was aroused.

Was this what she had to deal with? Even with everything, I wanyed to jump on her right now.

"I think we should just sleep and tomorrow is a big day ahead of us and we would get to the druids as soon as possible." I said and lay back.

The silence showed that they didn't buy my answer but they were willing to end the conversation.

It was morning already and they were up and outside the tent.

"Well here we are." Twilight said.

She was having a discussion with Devonye, it looked heated but they quiet down and toned down their voices as soon as I came.

Well, here we are. More than ever, now I really did hope for the druids to have the answer we were looking for.

"Let's go.”
