Chapter 164 Thinking Of The Timeline
Chapter 164 Thinking Of The Timeline
Bri
My house was full, as all of my in-laws, my dad, my mates, Nicole, as well as Sean and Bishop were here along with my triplets. In addition, we now had our five new hybrid friends. We were talking over different things, throwing out ideas, and all of that. Then it was getting close to dinner, so both of my fathers-in-law decided we needed to order barbecue for everyone, as he knew when I was pregnant I craved all of the protein. I just grinned when he said that.
Just about that time I got hit with another craving. I looked over at my mates, and Allan was the first to see me, so he came over. I grabbed his hand and started to pull him into the formal living room as it was called. He just grinned and sat on the couch. I sat sideways on his lap as I couldn’t straddle him now; my belly was too big. He pulled me close, wrapping his arms around me.
When I wrapped my arms back around his neck, it helped me to pull closer so I could easily bite him. I heard him sigh as I sank my fangs in and began to drink. It felt so good when I was pregnant, and they provided for me like this. Yes, it was weird, and at times my human side was still boggled about me being happy to drink my mate’s blood. Most of the time I just told my human sensibilities to fuck off, because this was a very bonding thing for us.
When I was done, I licked the wound closed and just lay my head on his shoulder, reveling in being held against him for a few moments. It was amazing in a lot of ways to think about how much my life had changed in such a short amount of time. I had gone from a lonely woman, just trying to scrape by, to all of this. The day I walked into The Bar and met Allan, begging for a job I honestly wasn’t qualified for, I never in a million years imagined this. I can only think that something led me to him. He knew I was his mate the second he smelled me, but I was clueless. I was just fucking thankful he was willing to take a chance on some eighteen-year-old who had just been booted from the foster care system.
Then suddenly the world of the paranormal is not only real, but I am a part of it. I have two mates, two whole sets of in-laws, a pack and a sect that I will help be responsible for someday. Then it was suddenly, oh, hey, you're pregnant. Then an oh, hey, you’re very pregnant, with triplets, the first in our history actually. Then there was the whole blow-up and people attacking us. Armond lost his sister basically as she was part of all of the crazy. We had vampire drugs on the street that were fucking people up, and a crazy man who had Pinky and The Brain syndrome out the ass.
Now, I found the dad I had always thought was dead. My mother was a royal bitch. I was descended from a whole lot of crazy, but my dad was pretty great. Now, there are two more little ones on the way, and they’ll be here really soon. Now, we have hybrids knocking at the door wanting a coming-out party and all of that shit. So, things have been rather nuts for a while now. I hope it slows down soon. I need some normal life to happen.
Allan ends up carrying me into the other room. Armond rushes to us and looks me over. I smile at him, and I see him relax. They always worry about me so much, but I get it; I worry about them too. I see my in-laws grinning at all of us from over Armond's shoulder.
Allan sits with me on his lap, still on the big sectional sofa. Nicole is on the floor with Sean, and they are playing with the triplets. Bishop is sitting behind them in an armchair, grinning at all of them. They are super stoked for their own baby or babies, as I like to tease Nicole. She has a doctor’s appointment with Dr. Mitchell next week to find out.
We brought some dining room chairs in as there is not enough seating for all of the other people in this room. My mothers-in-law are sitting on the other side of the sectional. Armond sits beside me and Allan, and eventually, as I know he’s still checking me over, although he thinks he’s being sneaky about it, he’s actually not. So, I climb into his lap and let him hold me as I know it will make him feel better. He grins as he kisses me.
My fathers-in-law are smiling indulgently at the three of us while standing behind their wives, acting rather like sentinels. My dad, Max, is seated in the other armchair watching his grandchildren play with fascination. He missed so much with me that he tries to absorb every second he can with them.
Samaria, Selenia, Hedi, Joshia, and Elias are all sitting around on dining room chairs just watching everything. I am glad they have had each other. I am sad that it seems they have lost quite a lot of friends over the years while they have been in hiding. I have been driven crazy by all of the danger hanging over my head for the last while; I can’t imagine living that as my life all the time, every day. They must be so damn tired.
“Okay, I know the food will be here shortly, and we are rather cramped in here for this many people, but I really think we need to talk about what our plans are and what all we are doing. I know you have some things we need to talk about, Bishop.” I look over, and he nods his head.
“Yeah, I have some things we have discovered as well.” Sean pipes up, and we all nod.
“Well, then we need to talk about this new thing that has now popped up, and I think it is super important to find out how to handle it and all of that.” Again with the nods.
Derek’s phone rings; he answers it, and from what I hear it’s the front gate; our food is here. So. Paul and Derek go and get it and bring it back. When Derek looks up, he says, “Let’s take this over to our house. It’s got more room and a bigger dining table, so I think it will be better.” We all nod, get up, gather the kids, and head over to their house to continue our evening.
