Chapter 40 I Want a Bit of Leverage
Chapter 40 I Want a Bit of Leverage
The green-haired thug had barely finished speaking when several burly men behind him charged forward, gripping steel pipes and chains. The five men spread out in a loose arc, trapping Klein under the streetlight.
The first thug swung his steel pipe at Klein's head. Klein simply sidestepped, grabbed the man's wrist, and pressed down hard—crack—the pipe clattered to the ground as the man dropped to his knees, clutching his arm and screaming.
The second man lunged in from the side with a vicious kick. Klein raised his hand to block the knee, twisted his wrist, and the knee joint snapped backward on the spot. The man collapsed immediately.
The remaining three rushed forward together, swinging their weapons wildly. Klein shifted his footwork, his body weaving through the gaps as the pipes and chains nearly grazed his clothes. He grabbed a swinging arm and bent it backward—another bone crack. Then he ducked into a half-squat to dodge a sweeping chain and drove his elbow into the ribs of the man beside him. The man grunted and clutched his waist, unable to move.
The last man saw things going badly and turned to run. Klein kicked him in the lower back, sending him sprawling face-first into a nearby planter, unable to get up.
In less than half a minute, all five thugs were on the ground, moaning. None of them could stand. Klein remained where he was, his breathing perfectly steady.
The green-haired thug stood frozen in the distance, his legs weak, not daring to move an inch. Looking at his fallen companions scattered on the ground, his face turned deathly pale, and a wet stain slowly spread across his crotch.
Klein walked slowly toward him, his footsteps light but each one landing like a stomp on the thug's heart.
"Where's Victor?"
Before Klein could even threaten him, the thug completely broke down, crawling and scrambling as he spoke. "I'll talk, I'll talk! He's cunning, never stays in one place! He has a hidden villa at 17 Maple Avenue; very few people know about it. When he gets in trouble, he hides there! No neighbors around, hardly any cameras!"
Klein noted the address and called Jennifer directly. After telling her his location, he hung up. He needed to find Victor and take care of a few things before Jennifer arrived.
After hanging up, Klein tossed the terrified thug into the car and drove straight to Maple Avenue.
The secluded villa hidden in the woods had high walls and nothing around it—indeed, a good vacation spot, and just as good a hiding place.
Klein knocked out the thug and slung him over his shoulder, which didn't affect his ability to scale the wall and reach the second-floor bedroom door.
The door wasn't fully closed, and Victor's voice came from inside. Klein looked in to see Victor had just swallowed several brown pills and was smugly touching his crotch, his mouth full of filthy talk.
"Why haven't those idiots brought that dancer back yet? Once the drugs kick in, I'll have my fun with her. And that lady cop—she's even hotter. Grabbing them both would be perfect."
He picked up a small medicine bottle from the table containing white powder.
"This stuff is potent and hard to get. I'll use it on both of them later, and they'll obey nicely."
Klein pushed the door open directly.
"Quite the thorough plan."
Victor jumped in fright, whipping around. Seeing Klein, his face changed instantly. "How did you get in?"
"The window was open," Klein said flatly.
Seeing the green-haired thug in Klein's hand, Victor immediately understood he'd been betrayed. He tried to stay calm and pulled out a checkbook. "Name your price, I'll pay anything. Let's call this off."
"I do need money, but a sudden windfall would bring the bank and tax authorities to my door," Klein shook his head. "But I'm worried about revenge, so I need some insurance."
Klein sneered and threw the thug to the floor, then poured the aphrodisiac powder into a water glass.
Victor panicked and tried to run, but Klein grabbed him. Klein stirred the entire glass of water, then pried open his mouth and forced it all down. Victor tried to vomit, but his mouth was clamped shut—he couldn't spit out a drop.
In less than ten minutes, the drug took effect. Victor's breathing grew heavy, his body burned, his eyes turned wild, and his body twisted uncontrollably.
Klein then forced the remaining powder down the green-haired thug's throat, tossed both men onto the bed, and locked the door.
"Enjoy yourselves."
Immediately, wild roars, fighting sounds, and furniture breaking erupted from the room.
Over an hour later, the sounds gradually subsided.
Klein opened the door. The room was a complete mess, clothes torn to shreds by the two men and scattered everywhere.
Both men lay naked on the floor, covered in bite marks and scratches, the floor stained with blood and semen.
Klein disgustedly avoided the filthy spots and hauled Victor up.
"You son of a bitch, you bastard, if you go to hell, Satan will curse you..."
As soon as Victor recovered some strength, he cursed Klein with the vilest words.
Klein slapped him across the face. He instantly shut up, blood trickling from his mouth.
"Talk. What other illegal shit have you done?"
Victor refused to speak. Klein grabbed one of his fingers and slowly bent it.
"If you don't talk, I'll send you to the zoo and feed some drugs to an elephant. You can imagine the result."
Victor completely lost his nerve and confessed through tears. "I evaded taxes, stashed illegal guns, and even threatened and intimidated competitors when I was building my bar."
Klein listened quietly, but there was no more. Seeing Victor's guilty eyes, he sneered.
"You think I'm stupid? You've definitely done more than this. Just that bottle of drugs proves you've hurt a lot of girls. I want the truth."
Klein grabbed one of Victor's fingers and snapped it. The intense pain made Victor scream, the fat on his face trembling continuously. Just as Klein's hand grabbed Victor's second finger, he finally came clean.
"I also kidnapped and raped a lot of girls. The obedient ones I paid off. The ones who wanted to report me—I killed them and dumped them in the ocean. Five in total..."
Klein recorded the entire confession on his phone.
Then he called Jennifer. A little while later, Jennifer arrived with her team. After hearing the evidence, she trembled with rage and nearly drew her gun to shoot Victor.
"You monster, you'll never leave prison in this lifetime." She gritted her teeth and hauled Victor into the police car.
Before leaving, Klein reminded her, "Don't write my name in the report. I want to keep a low profile."
Jennifer nodded and drove away.
Klein also drove back to his own villa. As soon as the car stopped, he sensed something was wrong and lightly tapped his forehead.
"What a night full of crap."
In the darkness, five dark figures were quietly climbing over his wall into his yard, their movements smooth—clearly professional killers.
The relaxed expression on Klein's face instantly vanished, his expression turning cold. He didn't raise the alarm, but also climbed over the wall and quietly followed them.
