Chapter 123

Chapter 123

Daisy, standing next to Rachel, let out a small sigh of relief and said, "Sending them away, does that count as doing a good deed?"

Rachel glanced at Daisy and replied, "Yeah, I guess it does."

"I never thought doing a good deed would feel like this," Daisy said.

Rachel raised an eyebrow and smiled at Daisy. "What kind of feeling?"

"Seeing others happy makes me happy too!" Daisy said, looking refreshed.

It was the first time Rachel had heard Daisy talk about happiness.

Rachel smiled slightly, "Looks like you don't have any thoughts of suicide anymore."

"Yeah, I don't." Daisy glanced at Rachel, "What about you? Are you still thinking about death?"

Rachel had never had that thought. But the situation she was facing now could really lead to her death.

Before she died, she had to make sure the people responsible for her parents' deaths were punished.

"Are you done talking?" Kevin appeared, having been waiting out the airport for so long.

Kevin crossed his arms and looked at Daisy with displeasure. "Are you two that close? It's not like you're saying goodbye forever."

"We've shared a bed, what do you know?" Daisy grabbed Rachel's arm and snuggled up to her.

Kevin's eyes darkened.

Rachel was caught off guard by Daisy's possessive gesture.

She looked at Daisy in surprise and said, "Why are you acting so childish?"

"He provoked me first!"

"Who told you I haven't shared a bed with her?" Kevin said coldly.

"So what? Rachel doesn't like you. Even if you get Rachel through sex, she would only be using you." Daisy shot back.

Rachel was taken aback by Daisy's blunt words.

She quickly poked Daisy's side and said, "Don't say such things!"

"Isn't that what you really think?" Kevin's face darkened, and he turned and left with a stormy expression.

Rachel was caught between the two and felt speechless.

What were these two fighting over?

She looked at Daisy and said, "Why did you tell him all that?"

"If he hadn't provoked me, I wouldn't have said those things! It's all his fault!" Daisy said angrily.

Rachel crossed her arms, wanting to give Daisy a good scolding.

But she thought about Kevin, who had already walked out of the airport, and decided to go and calm him down first.

"I still need to ride in his car to get back!"

"Take me with you! It's hard to get a cab at this hour," Daisy said leisurely.

Rachel got even angrier. "You just argued with him, aren't you afraid he'll kick you out of the car?"

"With you there, would he dare treat me like that?" Daisy hugged her arm tightly.

Rachel shook her off. "You're going to drive me crazy."

With that, Rachel quickly walked out of the airport terminal.

Outside, Rachel saw Kevin in the car, surprised he hadn't left.

She hurried forward to open the car door, only to find it locked.

"If you want me to drive you back, that woman needs to apologize to me!" Kevin said coldly, glancing at Rachel.

Rachel pressed her lips together and coughed lightly, "Daisy's words were just out of anger, don't take them seriously."

"The problem is, she was telling the truth. You came to Elysium Hideaway to save a girl, had me drive her to the airport, and spent all this time."

"You used our old friendship, what are you really up to?" Kevin glared at Rachel.

Rachel pressed her lips tightly, knowing Kevin would ask about this.

After a moment of silence, she answered, "I can't explain it all to you."

"Then take your time. I just want to know what you're hiding from me."

Rachel pressed her lips together and answered, "It's because of Daisy. She's friends with that father and daughter, I saved them for her."

"Daisy?" Kevin raised an eyebrow and looked at Daisy, who was slowly walking out of the airport.

Daisy's gaze fell on Kevin's face.

Maybe because Daisy was pretty, Kevin had a good impression of her.

But her face looked like someone who liked women.

Thinking about the woman who had taken his mother away, Kevin leaned back in his seat and laughed slowly, "You treat her so well. When we were dating, I didn't know you were bisexual."

"What?" Rachel was stunned, not understanding his words at first.

Daisy raised an eyebrow, her ears perked up, and a cold smile appeared on her face.

Rachel finally reacted and immediately shook her head. " Daisy and I are just good friends."

Kevin looked at Daisy's dark face. "Did you hear that? She only sees you as a friend."

Rachel felt Kevin was acting strange.

Why did he emphasize that to Daisy?

Did Daisy not see her as a friend?

She found it hard to accept. "Can you unlock the door now?"

The door unlocked.

Rachel opened the door with such force she almost lost her balance.

But she managed to sit in the passenger seat.

Daisy, seeing her sit in the passenger seat, seemed to dislike her.

What, liking women was a problem for her?

Daisy's eyes darkened, and she silently got into the back seat.

Kevin started the car. He was already familiar with Daisy's home address.

After dropping Daisy off, Kevin slowly drove away.

He asked, "Did you meet her in the red-light district?"

"I think I told you last time."

"Yes." Kevin lazily glanced at Rachel and said again, "Don't you think you have too much charm?"

"What charm?"

"Everyone who meets you ends up liking you. Rachel, should I hide you away? That way, no one will covet you." Kevin laughed coldly, looking at her face in the rearview mirror.

Rachel shivered, scared by his words. "Are you... are you going to imprison me?"

"Yes, to be my obedient sex slave without thoughts, wouldn't that be nice?" Kevin asked.

Rachel was terrified by his idea and swallowed hard. "Can you stop saying such shocking things to scare me?"

"I'm not scaring you! Stepmom, I'm serious."

Rachel really thought Kevin was not normal. Who would say such crazy things?
