138. Second Brother

138. Second Brother
Ophelia POV

How had I even gotten here? How was this my life? I knew now I was cursed. Maybe Fox was right and there was no such thing as luck? Maybe I should get the words ‘Fuck Luck’ tattooed on my knuckles. I was so completely tired. “Go ahead. Call him, he will give himself up.” Porter said as he was strapped down.

I would have preferred if I could have him strung him up to torture him, but with my current condition that was not an option. It was late and while he was out, I had slept. I was supper groggy, and I knew I needed more sleep. I had seen the missed calls from Cesar, EJ, Caden, and Greer. But no Fox, I was sure he had tried to call using Cesar’s phone, but I didn’t respond to any of them.

The only person I wanted to talk to was the monster who had put Fox and myself through this, put my three babies through this. I dialed Murphy’s number and when I heard his scratchy voice over the line I smiled “Ophelia?” “Hello Murphy.” I could hear the tremble when he asked, “Do you have my youngest son,” He paused “Do you have Porter?” “Yes, I do.” I grinned looking at Murphy's son.

“Please let him talk to him.” I nodded turning my phone on speaker and holding it up in front of Porter’s face. “Dad?” Porter said. “We will get you out of this, don’t worry I will take care of everything.” I pulled the phone from Porter’s face. What the fuck did he mean? “We get you out of this?” What “We” Was Murphy referring to? I spoke into the phone “Murphy gives yourself up and I will let Porter go.” I lied. He would go to hell, that is where I would let him go to.

“I will even sweeten the deal; I will kill you quickly.” That was not my plan, I want him to suffer, but I also knew I was beyond exhausted and as of right now all I managed was getting Porter secured in a fucking chair. I could kill him quickly it would be beneficial to have this over soon, but I liked watching suffering and his would be my favorite to watch. “Just give me some time Ophelia, I will hand myself over.” Time, why was he asking for time, that made no sense.

The “We” thing and asking for time, something was not right here. I was getting married soon, too soon for this to still be going on. I needed it over. I had to have it over. I already knew that I was going to have no pictures in the paper considering Fox looked like he went through a meat grinder. I didn’t know how to fix that problem, but I would figure it out. I was going to get married as planned and then go on a very long honeymoon and do nothing but lay by the beach and grow these babies.

I didn’t want to worry about back home. “No, Murphy you can’t get time. You bring yourself to me now. When can you get here?” I asked and he replied “Well, I can’t give you an estimate when I don’t know where you are. Are you at the penthouse?” My brain kicked in.

He was going to squawk, the asshole was a rat, a fucking traitor. I hung up the phone and looked at Porter. “Your dad is going to talk.” He looked scared. He is probably already at the building, he wouldn’t say anything, not until the authorities brought his son to him. “Now do you think he would go to the local PD or somewhere else.” I asked. Porter looked scared but said nothing. My mind raced; he wouldn’t go to the Police. No, he had people impersonating them, he would go to... The FBI.

I stared to laugh. “Talk about full circle.” I said to Porter. I pulled the little gun back out. Porter looked even more terrified. “Sorry your dad doesn’t love you.” I paused for a second and added. “I guess it is me who is the end of your family.” He looked confused. “Oh, right you don’t know, I killed your brother, I plan to kill you too, and then of course daddy dearest is the last of your family to die.”

He started to cry, and I rolled my eyes. The begging began next, and I shot him in the leg. He started screaming. I took another shot at his other leg. This was easier than torture and it was proving to be a good release for my building anger. I shot his arms next. Went back to his legs and then feet. I was just shooting to hurt him. Finally, I put the little gun up to his forehead and pulled the trigger. I stared at his lifeless body.

I snorted “You got off way to easy.” I said to the corpse. I began to walk away; I made sure to grab the chemicals I had brought with me. It would make it so when I lit a match and set his body on fire, the flames would burn so hot it would dissinerate bones. There would be absolutely no evidence. I smiled as I doused his body in this solution. The world was unprepared for a woman who knew Chemistry so well to know how to make evidence vanish.

I stepped back and rubbed my belly, and spoke to the babies growing inside. “I am so sorry that I was exposing you to all of this. I should have worn a mask when we rescued your father. I am sorry for not wearing a mask with these chemicals. But none got on me so I think you three will be alright, well I hope.” I released my stomach and lit one of the matches I had brought and tossed it on Porter’s body. I needed to make a call so as I walked out of the empty building I dialed Cesar.
