ALEXIS!!

SABASTIAN'S POV

I pulled up in front of Alexis' apartment and turned off the ignition.

I turned to look at Alexis and she was also looking back at me,her face looked pale,almost ashen with her head resting back on her seat.

I reached out to cup my hand around hers, looking deeply at her.

"Are you okay?"I asked her.

She nodded slowly but not convincingly.

I reached out and placed my palm on her forehead,she had a normal temperature but yet she looked sick.

"I'm just tired, Sabastian. Once I go in and take a nap, I'll be fine,"She said .

I took a deep breath, trying to believe her.I pulled her closer and slanted my lips across hers for a kiss.

She leaned in,kissing me back and her hand lifted to my neck pressing me against her.

I felt like going on and on with the kiss but I had to slowly withdraw to look into her eyes.

"You should go in and rest,"I said gently.

She nodded again and said nothing as she made to get down ,a black Range rover slid into the drive and packed beside us.

I could tell who it was before Derek stepped down from his car,my jaw tightened as I watched him.

Alexis turned to look at me aware of the frown that painted itself on my face.

"Let me get the door for you,"I told her.

She nodded as I got out of the car and crossed over to the passenger's door to pull it open for her.

Alexis slowly stepped down, grabbing her bag along with her,I took her hand possessively as we walked to where he had parked.

If it was left to me,I would have taken her right inside her house and totally ignored the young man.

"Hey,"He said to Alexis

What do I care if he acted as though I wasn't there?

"Hey,"Alexis replied quietly.

"How are you doing?"He asked.

I rolled my eyes,looking away but I still held on to her hand.

I disliked him,if not hated.My spirit hadn't still collided with his and I knew I wasn't going to ever find him nice as Alexis had said he was.

"I came to your school but your friend told me you'd already gone home,"Derek said.

"Yea,"Alexis said,"I only had just one lecture for the whole of today"

He nodded slowly,"Okay,I had wanted to pick you up ,I wasn't really busy today at the office "

"I told you I'd be picking her up from now on,Frederick"I put in.

Derek smiled,"It's Derek"

"I don't care,"I snapped.

"Sabastian,"Alexis called softly, looking up at me.

I looked at her and decided to postpone whatever thing I had for him to another when he'd be unlucky to see me.

I exhaled,"It's cold out here,Alexis. You should go in and get some rest"

"I wanted to talk to you about something,"Derek said to Alexis,"I was wondering if we could see tomorrow "

My anger grew,"She won't be seeing you ,are you this jobless?Well if you are she isn't "

"I wasn't talking to you, Sabastian"Derek said calmly

"Spit out my name from your mouth,you don't have any right to say my name just because you want to"I blurted out

The smile finally vanished from Derek's face and I was glad it did because it was already getting me irritated.

"What's your problem?Why are you pained,huh?I wasn't the one who asked you to leave ,run off like a puppy"Derek returned.

I made to lunge forward to give him a deserving punch on his face but Alexis quickly stepped in-between us.

"Stop it, Sabastian,"She said to me ,her hand on my chest then turned to Derek,"Please ,just stop it already"

We both held an angry gaze for some seconds before our eyes dropped to look at Alexis standing between us like a referee.

"It's enough,you guys"She said,"Please don't fight,okay?"

We both said nothing,my anger brewing like a vapour.She looked from one person to another.

"Okay?"She repeated.

"I'm sorry,Alexis,"Derek apologized.

I took a deep breath and licked my lips dry, trying to calm myself down.

"I'm sorry,"I muttered.

"I should go in now,"Alexis said after some time, looking at the two of us,"Thanks,Sabastine for driving me back home "

I smiled at her ,"Anytime"

She turned to Derek ," I'd see you tomorrow by eleven after my first lecture but Sabastian would be picking me up after my classes"

Derek forced a smile to light up his face,I bet what she told him would get him throwing things around in anger when he got back home...if he had one though.

"It's fine,I'll keep to the time,"He said.

Alexis turned to me and gave my hand a gentle squeeze,though I had expected something more but I knew she hadn't wanted Derek to get angry, jealous or whatever thing he might feel.

"Take care of yourself,Alexis and call me if you need me,"I told her.

She nodded then smiled at Derek before turning around to walk to her door.

We both stood like bodyguards watching her walk slowly to her door but then once at the door,she stopped.

Her hand came to touch her chest,slowly at first then she squeezed at her chest breathing hard.

We both watched not knowing why she stopped and in a blink,Alexis dropped to the ground.

"Alexis!"We called out in unison.

We dashed to her alarmingly, dropping down beside her. I pulled her up to my lap as she struggled to breath,her breathing coming in short,heavy gulps.

"Alexis,what's wrong?"Derek yelled.

She held onto her chest and then started convulsing terribly,her eyes rolled back up leaving only the white as she kicked into the air, struggling for air.

"Alexis!"I yelled.
