SILENCE

SABASTIAN'S POV

I stared hard at Alexis and she looked sleepily up at me, before stepping aside so I could come in.

"Are you okay?"I asked, looking around.

I got in and she stood watching me as I glanced at the windows and then turned to face her.

I placed my hands on her cheeks and looked into her eyes but she looked just fine.

"What's going on, Sabastian?"She asked me.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"I asked

She smiled but that confused look didn't leave her expression.She stared into my eyes wondering if I was okay.

"Of course,I'm fine,"She answered,"You dropped me here like forty minutes ago and I took a nap"

I looked into her eyes,it seemed she was telling the truth but still my mind wasn't at rest,that kind of pain that always crossed my chest was still there so what was wrong?

"Someone was here,"I said gravely.

She gave me a puzzled look.

"Was someone here?"I rephrased.

"No,"She slowly shook her head,"I locked the doors and only opened it when you were knocking on the door,I hadn't wanted to open it until I heard you call my name "

I wasn't convinced,I knew something had happened, someone had been here but what exactly?Or who exactly?

I left her and went over to the windows,I checked the drapes and then convinced that it hadn't been opened yet ,I walked to the couch,her bag had been on the floor.

She followed my eyes and perhaps my thoughts too,"I dropped my bag on the floor when I got in...Is something wrong ?"

I turned to look at her ,how was I going to tell her that I had felt that she was in trouble?

I couldn't be mistaken about such things, someone was messing with me, someone was behind this.

My mind dash to the man from earlier,Derek or whatever his name had been.

It was just a guess but I felt in some way he might have something to do with this...or was I simply being jealous?

Was I so angry that I had mixed feelings when I wasn't supposed to?

"I thought something had happened "I said.

She rubbed her eyes some more,"Like what?"

I looked around again, should I tell her what I had felt ?...no,I thought,I had better not before she thinks I'm drunk or something.

"I don't know,but I just felt like something had happened to you"I told her.

She smiled now and walked to me,she wrapped her hands around my waist and looked up at me.

"Sabastian,you must be really tired. You don't always have to worry that something bad will happen, "She told me.

I took a deep breath, trying to relax my panicking nerves. Maybe she could be right,maybe I was exhausted and needed some rest.

I reached up to cup her cheeks," I'm sorry,I guess you're right"

She smiled sweetly,"Don't worry, Sabastian. I'd be fine,you're here and I guess no one would want to mess with me"

I was forced to smile and relax,I drew her close and buried my nose into her hair ,drawing in the sweet,rosy scent of her shampoo.

I suddenly forgot about everything, forgotten about the meeting,I only wanted to stay and make sure that she was okay.

I pressed her against me,I was going to do all it takes to protect her from any danger.

She drew away and looked up at me with a smile,"Do you still have to go?"

"I would have to stay around for some time,I'd cancel my appointment in school"I told her.

"Do you really have to?,I've got the doors locked and my phone in case something happens"She said.

Speaking of her phone,I remembered that she had forgotten it in my car. It was one of the reasons I had wanted to drive back here only to get the feeling that something was wrong.

"Where's your phone?"I asked, smiling down at her.

She cast a glance down to where her bag was lying,then tapped her pockets gently feeling for it as I watched her.

"I think it's in my bag or... upstairs,"She said.

I smiled, drawing her back to me. I had wanted to tell her how careless or forgetful she was today but I just couldn't.

The only thing that came to my mind was drawing her against me and knowing what it feels to have her here with me...out of danger,safe.

"I love you,Alexis"I said instead,"Just be safe for me,that's all I want"

I could feel her smile though I didn't look down,she wrapped her hands tighter around my waist .

"I would,Mr Lycan"She joked.

There was this air of something nice around us,the energy in me bubbling positively with her against me.

I felt at peace,felt so good with the fact that I had actually panicked for nothing.

I smiled,"When all this is over, I'd take you out on a very nice and expensive date. Just you and I "

"You promise?"She asked, still pressed against me.

I nodded and planted a kiss on her hair,"I promise "

...Someone or rather something was watching,watching with a sharp eyesight that seemed to penetrate through the drapes in the window.

It could see them,the Lycan and the girl.He was getting weaker,the Lycan, with the girl around him.

From what it had observed,the girl was his weakness,his distraction.Perfect.

It was only a matter of time ,soon the girl would be out of the way just like how all of her kind was and then the Lycan would be helpless, powerless.

It was obvious that his senses were gradually starting to fail and soon the Lycan would meet his end,very soon…..

….Alexis looked up at me ,drew back and took my hand in hers with a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"I'm hungry,"She smiled,"Are you?"
