SWIFT

SABASTIAN'S POV

I drove out of Alexis' apartment and in a minute I was back driving into the road.

My thoughts hadn't still diverted from the man, whatever his name was.

I knew there was something about him, something so strong that I was finding it hard to place.

I wondered who he was and why I had this hurt in my chest when I saw him holding Alexis hand in that manner.

Something was definitely wrong about that man, something that wouldn't be good especially to Alexis.

My mind returned back to the moment I saw them standing so close,he even held her hand as if she was his bride or something.

I gripped the steering harder,my jaw tightened to a deep frown,the man,Derek even had the guts to hug her the way he did right before me.

I knew I was jealous,I had every right to be . Alexis was mine,she was mine to protect also and now a man I didn't know where he had crawled out from wants to act competitive.

I was going to find out who he was even if I have to spend the whole day finding out then I would.

My instincts couldn't be wrong about somebody,it was natural for me to feel and act jealous but the feeling I had towards him wasn't something I should overlook.

My blood was boiling as the memories kept playing and replying in my head,I cursed silently and kept my eyes on the road.

I was going to head back to the university ,clear my head for some minutes before joining the staffs meeting which was going to hold in two hours .

I cast a cursory glance down at the passenger's seat and back on the road but something caught my attention.

I looked quickly down back at the seat and Alexis phone was lying on it,forgotten

I was already driving along the expressway so I slid into the side of the road and parked.

I picked up her phone.

"She must have forgotten it here,"I said to myself , staring at the pink pouched smartphone.

I glanced at my wrist watch for the time and cursed,I had to take her phone back to her and if I did ,I would be late for the meeting.

I sat , looking at her phone and thinking of the next step to take.

I realized that she might have discovered that her phone wasn't with her and might be looking all over for it.

I sighed,placing the phone back and starting the car. I was going to take it back to her,at a time like this she needed her phone with her.

Just then I felt a sudden rush of cold sweep right through me,a shiver raced up to my chest and my heartbeat quickened.

Something was wrong!

I placed my hand on my chest ,feeling my heart race madly. I was feeling cold and I knew why...Alexis wasn't safe.

I immediately turned the car around and zoomed down the express .I switched lanes,overtook cars and my heartbeat kept beating even in my ears.

The cold was still lingering,it was as if I had been placed in the middle of the north pole,it was so alarming,so disturbing.

I drove as fast as I could,hoping,praying to get back to her apartment as soon as possible before something bad happened to her.

I finally got off the express and on the road that was leading to her apartment,my heart still pounding.

I was practically freaking out,it was as if the roads seemed longer as I drove speedily down the lonely road.

I zoomed into her apartment and barely parked in the drive as I pushed open the door and practically flew out of the car.

I dashed to her door,her apartment was quiet and the drapes had been still down.

I pounded on the door,my heart pounding as I did.I prayed nothing had happened to her,i hoped i was in time.

I knocked as loud as before,tried pulling the knob but it was locked from inside.

"Alexis!"I yelled,"Alexis,answer me!"

There was no response,my heartbeat quickened,I knew deep down something wasn't right, something had happened and I prayed that I wasn't late.

"Alexis!"I called again,pulling at the door knob and trying to push the door open with all my strength.

The door was locked inside that means she had still been in there,but the windows weren't opened either for someone to have gotten in.

Had someone taken her away,my heart pounded madly,wildly against the walls of my hurting chest

"Alexis,are you in there!"I yelled,"Can you hear me?"

Something bad had happened but I couldn't wrap my finger around what it was,Alexis wasn't safe ,she wasn't safe at all.

Suddenly the door pulled open ,I hadn't heard any footsteps approaching but it pulled open and surprisingly Alexis appeared at the door.

She held the door open as I stood shocked, surprised,staring at her.

Her face looked dreamy as if she had just gotten up from sleep,she gave me a confused look as I let my eyes wander over her.

She was still in the clothes she had worn to lectures,her hair was neat apart from the bed hair it had and she didn't look hurt ...but sleepy.

"Sabastian?"She called,rubbing her eyes and stifling a yawn.

What was happening?What had just happened?

Alexis hadn't looked like she had been in danger,she looked perfectly fine then why had he felt the way he did?

He had felt that wave of cold he had usually felt whenever she was in trouble.

Something wasn't right, something was absolutely wrong and he knew it but what could it be?

Alexis was still looking confusedly and sleepily at him.

"Why...why did you come back?"She asked slowly,still rubbing her eyes.
