Chapter 154 - My Rejected Wife Is A Billionaire

Cecilia expected Justin to confront her, but instead, he just brushed past her and left.

Somehow, she couldn't shake the feeling that Justin had been acting out of character since last night.

"Shall we?"

The girl's clear voice broke through her thoughts. When Cecilia saw her, she suddenly realized that Justin was intentionally avoiding any misconceptions.

As they left, Cecilia caught a snippet of their conversation.

"Your mother is quite the host. I hope we can meet more often."

So... did Brie choose this woman for Justin?

Heading to the parking garage, Cecilia unexpectedly encountered Justin again.

He leaned against his black Porsche, embodying an air of exclusivity and severity.

Learning from their last unpleasant interaction, Cecilia gave him a brief nod before heading to her car.

"I just claimed you were my woman minutes ago, and now we're parting ways. If we get snapped, what's your game plan for explaining that?"

His icy tone caught her as she reached for her car door, reminding her of the potential for gossip.

Considering the fervor of Benjamin's fanbase, Cecilia knew she had to tread carefully.

She reluctantly made her way to Justin's car. "Sorry to trouble you, Mr. Quinn."

Justin entered the car silently, slamming the door shut.

Though she was reluctant to have any more to do with him, the circumstances forced her hand.

Finally, Cecilia opened the back door and got in.

"You think I'm your driver?" Justin's voice came again, as cold as ever.

Was he suggesting she sit up front with him?

And what about his date? Would she mind another woman occupying her date's passenger seat?

"That's... inappropriate," Cecilia said.

"Do as you pleased, then," he replied.

Cecilia had never realized that Justin could be so harsh and rude.

The second she settled in the passenger seat, the car immediately took off.

Justin drove straight for the highway leading into the city without asking her destination.

"You didn't need to go out of your way. Just drop me off wherever you want," Cecilia mentioned after a while.

"I'm off to see Nico. It's on my way," he responded coldly.

Used to his coldness, Cecilia opted for silence.

Her fatigue was compounded by the fan scare and a restless night.

While relaxing, Cecilia couldn't help but feel sleepy.

Soon, she leaned aside and fell asleep.

Justin, who had been rigid up to now, slowly turned to look at Cecilia, his gaze softening.

Upon waking, Cecilia found the car parked outside Nico's kindergarten.

She paused for a while before sitting up.

Then, a jacket slid off from her body, and Cecilia picked it up in confusion.

It was a man's suit jacket, which had been draped over her.

She couldn't help but glance at Justin.

As expected, his jacket was gone, and he was now wearing a thin shirt that outlined his perfect shape and attractive muscles.

"Thank you," Cecilia murmured and handed the jacked back to Justin.

But Justin didn't take it over; his gaze even more intense than before.

"What does Benjamin mean to you?"

Just as Cecilia thought he would remain silent as usual, Justin suddenly questioned her.

Caught off guard, Cecilia hadn't anticipated him mentioning Benjamin.

"He's like a brother to me. Why did you ask? Is there an issue?" she answered honestly, meeting his gaze.

Justin stared back at her, his gaze piercing.

"Brother?" he repeated, his tone suggesting disbelief and a hint of mockery.

Feeling annoyed, Cecilia retorted defensively, "Anyway, it's none of your business anymore, is it?"

Without another word, she stepped out of the car.

Inside, Justin struggled to suppress the frustration welling up inside him.

She risked herself for Lucas last night, and today, she protected Benjamin. It seemed he was the only one she neglected!

After picking up Nico, Cecilia chatted with her while coming out.

"Mommy, is that Daddy's car?" Nico pointed out.

Looking in the direction Nico indicated, Cecilia saw a car driving away.

That was indeed Justin's car.

Hadn't Justin said he was coming to see Nico? Why did he leave so suddenly?

Baffled, Cecilia replied, "No, darling. You must have seen it wrong."

If Nico had learned Justin had been here but refused to see her, she must have been very sad.

An hour later, Justin was at the Gelo Club, pouring himself a drink and swallowing it in one gulp.

Lucas' face was still covered by bruises. Noticing his frustration, he smiled meaningfully.

"What's the matter? Downing your sorrows?" While speaking, he placed a bunch of keys on the table.

Justin's gaze briefly lingered on them before he realized that they belonged to Cecilia, engraved with her name.

He remained composed, but his grip on the glass intensified.

Lucas caught Justin's reaction and smiled teasingly.

The next second, he suddenly grabbed Justin's collar and lifted him up. "You don't deserve Cecilia!"
