POV: Jax
I am so mad. Haven came to me telling me to stop yelling at Adalind. She called Haven. I had to scent Haven to calm down. Haven is still the same person she always has been except when it comes to her kids. She gets mean. She will even tell me off.
A guard informed me that a vampire was at the estate with Adalind. I mindlinked her asking her what was going on and why a vampire was on my territory. She got a little snappy with that one say she is a vampire.
Thats when I got pissed. She kept playing around as to why this vampire was there so I alpha ordered her. Thats when it came out. Her mate. I already she found her mate. I saw the whole encounter in a vision but she lied to me and I respected her. I figured she would tell us in her own time.
Apparently they have now excepted each other now. The fucking vampire king Aiden Vandomir. I know I'm being hard on her but it is for her own protection. I was always afraid of what would happen had she explored her vampire side. Ash and I have had many disagreements on this one.
He thinks I shouldn't get in her way and its not fair to her. I agree with everything he has said but I have a kingdom to think about and what if the vampires decides to claim her as their own.
I know that I have fucked this all up. I'm glad that she has her mate. Am I happy about it being a vampire? No but if he makes her happy then I can over look it.
Haven and I are on our way to see her. I was going to the her out of school but Haven talked me out of it. She said to let her make her own mistakes and live her life. She wants me to treat her as I would Cameron and Tate.
She's my baby girl. It was easy with Cam to let him go. Tate is still at home. Adalind has been hard to let go. I can't. I'm afraid that once I let her go she will never come back. My grip on her has always been so tight.
I never wanted this to happen between the two of us. Now I have to just give her away.
Haven has a message for them both. This has to do with Adalind's destiny. I feel like I know what it is and it will not go over well with a lot of people. A war might come to pass. I am no mood to wage a war against my own daughter.
"Hey Adalind." I link her. "Yeah dad?" She responds. I didn't think she would. "I'm sorry. I should t have said those things. I am happy you found your mate. I knew you lied already. I had a vision."
"I'm sorry daddy. I was afraid of what you would do. I was so excited about being here that I didn't want to ruin it. He came around though."
"Yeah? How did that go?" I ask. "Can we talk about it when you get here." She yawns in the mindlink. "OK. Well be there in two hours so take a nap and I'll wake you when we get there." I tell her. She doesn't respond after that.
"Pup will be ok. Mate will beat us if she's not." Ash says. Yes she will. My baby will do anything for her kids even Cameron.
We drive the rest of the way stopping only once for gas. A guard informs me that Aiden is still in the house. I thank him and Haven and I head inside. We find them both asleep on the couch. Adalinds head is laying on his lap.
Aidens eyes pop open suddenly. Haven shakes Adlind awake. I don't take my eyes off the vampire for a second. "Hmm? Mom?" Adalind wakes sitting up. "Hey my honey. How was your nap? Do you need anything?" I shake my head at Haven. She always does that with the kids when she wakes them or anything. She takes care of them no matter what.
"Can you get me some water?" Adalind say. Haven goes to her some water. "Hi daddy."
"Hey baby." I sit in the chair still with my eyes on Aiden. His hasn't left mine either. The tension is tense. "Here you go sweetie." Haven gives Adalind a glass of ice water.
"Will you two stop the stare down already" Adalind says. I decide to play nice for her sake. "Tsk. Alpha Lycan King Jax." I introduce myself. "I'm well aware of who you are just as your well aware of who I am." Well he is a total dick. Adalind frowns at him. Thats my baby girl.
"Mom what as your message?" Adalind asks. "Well you see we've kept a secret from you. You were only to know it when you found your mate. Or revealed that you had. Two worlds will be united as one. A waring species will unite in union on her 18th birthday this will begin anew." Haven answers stating the prophecy.
Aiden starts speaking in some language I've never even heard of. "What does that mean?" Adalind asks. "The same thing your mother just spoke. It's an ancient prophecy. I have only heard it spoken in that language and it has been millenia since I've heard it." Aiden answers.
"Was it around the time my father was made king?" I ask. "Actually yes. Some said it came from the moon goddess herself." He answers. This is starting to come together.
"There is more i was only to tell now. A darkness lurks near. There is a way to stop this darkness from coming to pass. Follow the prophecy and accept peace in union." Haven says. This is the first I have heard this part.
Aiden smirks. What is he thinking. Does he know what this means. "Did she happen to say what kind of union? That could be anything." Aiden asks.
"What do you know?" I narrow my eyes at him. "I'm not ready to reveal until I am sure. Until then I will give you a little warning. Some time soon a wolf will come up furless and maybe dead. A lycan will have it's claws taken. The darkness name is Darach." Aiden reveal. Why the hell does he need that stuff.
"Was that what happened to that girl?" Adalind asks. "What girl?" I ask sternly. "One of the ingredients to the wizards spell is fairy blood. The girl was a fairy. Adalind found her. I'm running the investigation. I know Darach better than anyone." Aiden answers.
Anything else I should know?" I ask. He looks at Adalind like he's debating with himself. "This spell he is gathering up will enslave all of man kind. Everyone. Supernatural or not. There is one ingredient that is hard to come by. He knows he can get his hands on it now." What ingredient? He looks at Adalind worried. "Why are you looking at me like that? Adalind asks worried and with little fear.
"The last ingredient is the blood of a blood moon born werewolf. He knows Adalind exists." Aiden reveals. Adalind gasps. She looks scared. He tells us the ingredients that he has so far and what he needs left. He says that he could get three of them just from Adalind. I'm personally glad to know that baby girl is untouched because then I'd have to hunt all the boys that touched her.
"She can't go to school anymore. It's too dangerous. He was there and close to her." Ash says. He's right. "I'm sorry Adalind I can't allow you to go to school not when this wizard could get that close to you. Its too much of a risk."
"But dad. Thats not fair." Adalind argues. Aiden doesn't seem to protest to this. "Life is not fair. When all this is over with then we can reevaluate you comeing back but until then no. Your not safe here." I tell her. She crosses her arms pouting. "Back to the tower I go guarded by the angry lycan King." She huffs.
Haven giggles. "Its not funny mom." Adalind points even more. "What if she goes to Black River? Cameron is there. Black River is very guarded. You can send more warriors there. Court and Luke can go." Haven suggests. "I'm not sure about Luke. If Luke goes so will Penny. I'd be down a Beta and a Gamma. I like this though. Its a happy medium. You get the freedom you want away from me but your also protected. Plus Liam is close by." I say. I like this idea.
"Aiden?" Adalind says wanting his opinion. "As much as I hate agreeing with a lycan I do. Its to dangerous for you to be here. Until I can find him and decipher this prophecy you need to go." Aiden responds seriously.
"Great. I guess Cam is better that being stuck at the palace forever." Adalind say not happy at all. "Oh chin up. Black River is ten hours away from the palace. The university is four." I tell her.
"Jax I think we should leave her alone to process all of this. She's upset and scared. I know she just wants to be alone." Haven says. Adalind can sometimes be like Haven when it comes to her feelings. She will shrink into herself and not face them.
She's not as bad as Haven. Adalind does speak more on her feeling than Haven. "Alright. Mom and I are going to go to bed for now. If you need anything just come get us." I tell Adalind taking Haven to our bedroom. Goddess let Adalind be safe around him.
