Chapter 20

Ilayda's POV :

It's funny how even in this chaotic situation we were still able to listen to our hearts , maybe that's what makes this moments special.

I woke up this morning not with kisses and warmth , but by emptiness , the other side of the bed was empty , and cold like if Christan didn't just spend the night here , and yet I wasn't going to be angry , i know he has something important to do and i was ready to provide him with all my understanding, with all my love. Love , i still can't believe we were able to say those words , i still can't believe that he loves me I love you those words are never going to leave my thoughts.

Half of the day had passed , Christan didn't come back home yet , and Nona and I 's work was almost done sense these days we didn't have much to do. As i was getting the dishes my phone was ringing , i thought it was Christan , but it wasn't i felt slightly disappointed , it was Rolando , i remembered , yesterday we exchanged numbers.

"hello"

" hi , Ilayda how are you doing ?"

" good thanks , you "

" yeah , i'm fine , say"

"yeah ?"

" would yo......you like to.... get dinner with me " he seemed nervous . he wanted to have dinner with me , i would've said yes , he was a very good company but i couldn't , not with the way Christan reacted yesterday.

" i would love to.."

" why do i sense there is a but " i sighed " but , i don't think that my boyfriend would like that " God i sound like those girls that i don't like to sound like , you get get me , those type of girls who if they found someone is looking at them they would ' i have a boyfriend ' , those types , i sounded just like them.

" oh" is all what he said .

" well , talk to yo-

" just friends " he uninterrupted me "what ? " I asked " have dinner with me just as friends , i'm sure you are allowed to have friends right ? " yes friends , he was my friends , friends are allowed to hang out with each other .

" i guess , yeah "

" good then i'll pick you up at 8 pm don't be late "

"alright" before i could say anything , he hang up .

This is going to be a long day.

That subject kept getting inside of my head , my first thoughts were to lie , say that i was going out with some friend but then i thought about it more why would i lie i didn't do anything bad and i wasn't going to do anything bad so i was going to say the truth to Christa, and actually try to convince him and i'm sure he will listen and will understand.

" absolutely , fucking no ,i'm not letting that fucker take you anywhere " i sighed again keeping the phone slightly away from my ear as his screaming invaded my ears " please , please , i will take one of the guards with me "

" that 's not the goddamn problem , i don't want you to be with some guy , why don't you understand"

" i do , i swear i do , but he's just a friend and he knows i have a boyfriend and you know that i love you , why would i go to someone else , please trust me "

" baby, i do , i do trust you , it's him i don't trust ,i mean even you barely know him , what if he was some serial killer or some rap-" he didn't finish "fine , whatever just bye" i was about to hang up when i heard him saying " wait "

" what ? "

" i will let you go "

" really ? " i was so happy " thank you , thank-

" on one condition " my smile soon faded away " what is it ? "

" if i let you see this man tonight , this will be your last night seeing him ,think of it as a farewell dinner "

"but-

" no buts , you have it it's my condition take it or leave it "

" but this is not fair"

"baby , what would you feel if i came to you right at this moment , and told that some woman i met yesterday is inviting over some dinner ? "

" i would fell upset , jealous " i said honestly " well , than baby consider yourself lucky i'm even considering this " i knew it was a dead end " alright fine , i will go to dinner with him and i won't see him back ever again , happy ? "

" very , now let me go to work , love you " even if i was angry at him those simple few words drew a smile on my face " love you too"

The time was quickly passing , and soon enough eight pm was soon arriving , i didn't wear anything too fancy considering it was just a night out with a friend , so i just put a black dress and some white high heals and i kept my hair down , a bit of lipstick and i was ready to go.

" Hi " opened the door to his car " hello , you look amazing" i smiled " thank you so do you " i sat and put my seat belt " so where are you going to take us "

" you'll see" he was looking at me in a weird way " what ?" i asked him but he just pretended not to hear me We soon arrived at this very fancy restaurant , it was so beautiful like a dream .

the night went amazing , we had so much fun , the food was delicious and every thing was simply amazing but sadly i could never see him again , i didn't tell him ,i decided to consider him a good memory and move on .

" we're here " he said i looked around and i saw that i was home " did i fell asleep ? " i was a bit embarrassed " yeah , but just for a little while it's okay"

"thank you for tonight , it was amazing" he nod " i think it was pretty good too" i was about to get out from the car when he held my hand i turned to look at him " good night,hope I'll see you soon"he said and then he slowly came toward me and gave me a kiss on the cheek " good night"I only said that not answering his last part which left him confused.

i went out quickly from the car and waited for him to leave and then i proceeded to get inside the house .

As i was getting inside i heard some noises , the i went to look in the living room, and i found them all sitting there and by all i meant the hole family , but there was a woman with them but i couldn't look at her face she had her back to me " good evening" i spoke and everyone was looking at me Suddenly that women turned around , i looked at her face No , it can't be she can't be.....

she didn't change the same face, the same eyes the same look she held when she was killing my father i wanted to speak ,to shout but words wouldn't come out and soon i was consumed by darkness.
