Chapter 120
“Yes Uncle Dragon I got the bike to replace mine and Sam got his mini bike. Don’t worry mom its that green and black one we seen at the store with the straps and is more like a 3 wheeler. The bike he got me is just like yours so it wont make my foot worse he made it lighter for if I fall since I was using Grandmas old bike and she is bigger than me.” Amelia says. I swear she is growing up to fast. We don’t talk about the bad times anymore and I don’t go see anyone in the cells. We didn’t let anyone out they are a liability and wont play by the rules but they do get to live a life and cook and clean for themselves. They also have Netflix and other streaming services.
Harley eventually let Goose out but he isn’t allowed to do anything. He actually became a teacher and never leaves the compound afraid to do something to harm everyone again. He is in our lives still and the kids love him. She makes him see someone to help with everything that happened. She almost got shot when she left one day. There were a few stragglers that were little thugs they had camped out and they where out of town and showed up trying to get them and after that day he doesn’t even use a phone only a walkie-talkie.
“Ok I wont get mad at him as long as he finds a spot on our land to make a track so we don’t have to worry about accidents like last time. As for Sam I knew he would pick the safest one after the pocket knife incident and his wife kicking his ass. She helps pick gifts now.” I say patting her hand. “Look at me and all my accidents we all survive what comes our way. We will always do everything we can to keep you safe, even your Uncle Dragon when he remembers ages.”
“Hey it was one time. I admit I shouldn’t have thought ok Rusty did it with me and it should be ok. I got to therapy going now it wont happen again.” Dragon said sounding like a 5 year old complaining.
“I know Dragon we trust you or we wouldn’t let you near the kids.” I say to the big baby that saved my live and gave me my family.
Everyone settled down and Harley walked in with a dolly with food. I see mashed potatoes, white cheddar pasta and chicken with broccoli with my name tag on it. There were actually two, the other has chicken parmigiana with pasta. Speed grabbed my food and put it on the bed tray and put it over my legs with a pillow over my stomach. Everyone got there food and we put on a cartoon for Sam and he has his food at the end of the bed but he keeps looking at his babies as he calls them.
Daniel fed me because my body is still weak he started with the mashed potatoes plate so I have soft foods. After I was done eating he finished the rest. Then he stood up and got everyone’s attention “ok everyone we have 4 prospects that save 5 lives today that finally get to join the family. Layla told me what you want to do and we all agree you guys can guard the kids. I also want to think thank you for everything you did for my wife and family. You guys will forever be our family. We will be setting up the master downstairs for us permanently so you guys can put 3 beds in there with the babies for now till its safe for them to sleep alone. I know you guys wanted night and Jenny, Lacey, and Elizabeth want to help too so we will have then do 3am to 10am so you guys can sleep everyday. Then when they get older you guys can sleep in your rooms every night and Amelia will take our room.”
Everyone cheered quietly and we celebrated well they did my med kicked in pretty fast, and I fell asleep listening to my family talk about all the things they are going to teach the baby’s.
It has been two weeks since I gave birth. I am sitting in a chair on the patio with the babies in a bassinet next to me watching Daniel and the other guys play soccer with Sam. He seen a game on the T.V. and he loved it and wanted to try. So the team decided to teach him. They made a whole field. Frank and his team are sitting in chairs on each side of me and the kids to keep us safe and help with them when I need help. The chair gets in the way of picking them up plus I have to use a strap to hold my chest upright. There was more damage than Tony first seen but that’s ok I can hold them just not hold my sent straight up for extended periods of time. Daniel takes such good care of me. Frank and the guys decided that they would always be with me since they were training to take care of me and the kids they are even taking classes about spinal injury so they can help when me.
They were rescues Daniel found and they were young. Harley took them in till they could live in the club. So they love us like family. Daniel said yes right away. He has to leave sometimes for work so now he knows I am safe and well cared for. “do you want some lunch mom?” Amelia pokes her head out of the house. She has been learning to cook and practicing my recipe.
I look over at her and she looks so excited she made something new and it must have been a success.
“Yes sweetheart I would love some lunch. Frank can you get my tray from the back of my chair please? Amelia, how did the sells go this morning I know they are letting you do some of the recipes only I make but cant anymore? Today was the first day right?” It was a Saturday, we agreed that she could only do it on the weekends so it doesn’t mess with her schooling. She is home schooled because she is like me she learns really fast and has an amazing memory. Her mom was like that too. I know her mom would be so proud of her.
