Chapter 116

**5 Years Later**

I am sitting in the bathroom I have been sick for days. We got married 5 years ago and we had the surgeries done so I could maybe have a baby. We never tried but we didn’t stop it either. This is the first time in a long time I have missed a period and with the symptoms I have I think this might be it. I am so scared and Daniel is at work for another 20 minutes. The timer goes off and startles me. I flip over the test and it says Positive. I cry for a few minutes and then get up and put it in a gift box it is our anniversary today September 26th. Samuel and Amelia are in school but it is Friday and Opal is picking them up tonight. I shoot her a text to let her know what it said.

When I get down stairs I hear the door bell and when I get to it a see a prospect with my dinner order. I thank him and go and set the table. Just as I get out drinks and set them on the table I feel the love of my life’s arms wrap around me, “I see you ordered food from that Italian place we like. I am going to go clean up and be right back. Happy anniversary love.” He kisses me and hands me flowers. I see they are a mix of roses, lilies, and tulips.

“Thank you love and Happy anniversary. Ok I will wait here I have a surprise for you when you get back.” I kissed him then he walked off down the hall. I can’t do stairs anymore I got in a wreak 3 years ago in the snow and it damaged my spine. Most days I’m good just not in the winter, I use my chair then.

I sit in my chair to wait. I open my sprite since I cant drink anymore and it will help with my stomach while I eat. When he walk down he has a small box and looks at me like I am the only person in the world. He kisses my head and sits down “are you ok baby I see you have a sprite again. I am getting worried about you.”

“Yes love I am fine open my present before we eat.” I say with a huge smile so he nods and goes to open it. There is a custom zippo with our names and wedding date on it with a knife with our names on it. When he sees the test I get nervous and then he pulls me to his lap and kisses me.

I can feel his tears, then he pulls back, “are you serious baby. They said if it happened you had to start staying in your chair, I will call and have one delivered so you can keep snacks and cold drinks. I remember everything they said we needed to do if this happened and I will protect you and the baby or babies. No more walking after tonight ok I will get the chair we have out for now so we keep you safe. This is so amazing baby. We have to call Dragon he found the doctor and we promised to tell him same day. We cant go back on that.” I started to shift back to my chair and he held me close while he dialed him number “no baby I want to hold you I am scared after what they told us I need to hold you.” He looked me in the eyes so I could see how he was feeling. This man looks so tough in front of everyone else but with me he shows it all.

“Ok love but can you pull my food over I am starving.” He kisses my temple and pulls my food and drink over while pressing call then puts it on video call.

When Dragons face pops up on the screen he says “why are you calling on you anniversary. We just got to Opals for the BBQ for the kids so they can celebrate. Amelia said that you guys are supposed to be alone but they want to celebrate to because they have the best mommy and daddy so we said ok. You know we love to BBQ.”

I just show him the test and at first he is confused then he yells for all to hear at Opals and it looks like the whole team is behind him. “Ice is Pregnant!!!!!”

They all start yelling congrats and how amazing it is. When it dies down Daniel says something I find funny to them “Operation tiny angel is a go guys order everything we put on the list to keep them safe. Set up the hospital on base to be as good as the hospital the specialist uses. They agreed back then it would be safer to do everything there since her spinal doctor is already there. I cant believe we finally get to use the plan we made back then. I knew it would happen some day.” He holds me close while I laugh when I stop I ask the one question I need to.

“Why tiny angel? You do know this kid will be no angel when it is big enough to make me have to pee every 10 minutes and you will be the one helping me.” Everyone on the screen is laughing.

“Because you are my angel. I will take care of you everyday. Dragon already said he will help and so did the team they have this till the doctor says you can walk again after the baby is born. When they need me to sign something they will come here so I can. I will be here for you every step of the way love. Church will even be held here the guys said they don’t want anything to put you in danger.” I start crying again, I hate that but I know its normal.

“Thank you baby. Thank you everyone. We will have a BBQ here tomorrow to celebrate.” Just as I am talking my babies come in from the other room. They must have been changing out of there school clothes.
