Chapter 54 Chapter fifty-four

Chapter 54 Chapter fifty-four
Roger had been standing outside, listening in on the chaos occurring inside the courtroom.

When he heard Ellie mention there was an insider in the pack feeding information to the enemies, he couldn't help but laugh.

He wondered what Ellie was up to. He was taken aback when she began to read the letter. Now, she was claiming there was a traitor in the pack, and he was curious about Ellie's intentions.

He decided to step into the courtroom to witness it for himself. As soon as he entered, he noticed Ellie’s gaze following him like a bee.

He frowned deeply. Why was she staring at him? He glanced at his reflection on the shiny marble floor but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Wait. He realized what was happening. Ellie intended to accuse him of being the suspect, which explained why she had been watching him so intently.

"You snitch," he clenched his teeth.

He knew that whatever was in the letter differed from what Ellie was asserting, because this gave him reason to believe that she was trying to tag him as a traitor—and she was correct. He was the hidden enemy of the pack, and he would not stop until he destroyed the Alpha's family and took control of the pack.

He needed to escape before he fell victim to Ellie’s schemes.

He looked up to see that she was still gazing at him intently, and everyone else was following her line of sight.

He quickly pulled his hoodie over his head and slipped out of the courtroom quietly.

Dust rose from the ground as his boots struck the surface. He glanced back repeatedly to ensure no one was pursuing him.

He was heading to the secret hideout where his men were waiting.

He wondered what would happen if everyone found out he was the one Ellie was accusing. By then, his head would probably be served on a silver platter. Claus would have ordered his execution on the spot.

He now needed to swiftly eliminate Ellie from the equation, as she posed a threat to his plans. He had known from the start that she would be, which is why he had been trying to convince Claus that Ellie was a cheater.

When he reached the hideout, his men were gathered there. They were taken aback by the sight of him in a rage, having left the palace filled with delight. Their plans had been running smoothly, but seeing their master so angry, they understood that something serious had occurred in the courtroom, though no one dared to ask. Roger was notorious for his intense anger.

"Ellie, that witch," he shouted as he kicked a drum to the floor.

"Master, what happened?" one courageous soldier asked.

"I should have eliminated her long ago when I had the chance, instead of allowing her to live and sabotage my plans at this critical moment," Roger lamented, pacing the room.

The soldiers silently observed as Roger continued to smash items in the room in a fit of rage.

"How dare she accuse me of being a traitor in front of the Alphas and the council of elders!" Roger shouted.

"She did what?" The soldiers were taken aback, exchanging puzzled glances.

"She nearly had me executed. She was able to decipher the letter, which is unimaginable. And on top of that, she claimed the letter is written in luvendaic," Roger explained to the men.

"That's a lie," one of the soldiers stepped forward.

"What do you mean, it's a lie? Do you think I would come from the palace and spout nonsense?" Roger shot back angrily at the soldier.

"No, master... That’s not what I meant... The letter isn’t written in luvendaic... It’s in Hebrew,"

Roger froze.

"What!" His eyes widened in shock.
