Chapter 342. Andrea’s Fall

Chapter 342. Andrea’s Fall
The assassin clenched his teeth and refused to answer. This was one of the most basic rules in his line of work: no matter what happened, he could never reveal the identity of the person who had hired him.

But even so, Wyndham’s technology expert easily broke through the encryption on his communication device. Just as Galvin had expected, Andrea’s contact information was stored inside.

Galvin ordered the expert to send Andrea a message saying that the assassination had been successful and that Galvin was already dead.

Andrea replied almost immediately. He told the assassin to go to a new location to collect the rest of his payment, then continue with the next target and deal with Kevin as well.

The meeting place was a villa in the suburbs.

From what Galvin knew about Andrea, Andrea normally would never appear in person at a place where money was being handed over. But right now, Galvin and Kevin had already pushed him into such a miserable position that he wanted more than anything to see proof of Galvin’s horrible death with his own eyes. Because of that, Galvin believed Andrea would come personally to collect the result he had been waiting for.

And he was right.

When Andrea was forced face-down onto the ground by Galvin’s men, and then looked up to see Galvin step out of the car alive and walk toward him, Andrea immediately went mad.

“That’s impossible! You bastard! Why aren’t you dead? Why? Why the hell are you still alive?!”

Galvin stood there in silence, watching Andrea struggle and scream without saying a single word. After a while, the sound of another engine came from behind them.

Kevin had arrived.

The moment Kevin saw Andrea, he rushed forward despite the fact that his body had still not fully recovered. He threw himself at Andrea and began punching and kicking him again and again.

“You bastard! How could you do something that sick and cruel to my Helena? How dare you? I’m going to kill you! I’m going to kill you myself!”

Andrea had no chance to fight back at all. At first, he still tried to provoke Kevin, throwing out ugly words and laughing at his anger. But not long afterward, Kevin had beaten him so badly that he could barely breathe.

Only when Kevin himself had run out of strength and could no longer keep hitting him did he finally stop. Breathing heavily, Kevin ordered the men nearby to bring a group of people inside.

Those people were the same thugs Andrea had sent to the abandoned warehouse to rape Helena.

Andrea naturally recognized them, and of course he understood exactly what Kevin intended to do. He panicked and struggled violently against the bodyguards holding him down. This time, the bodyguards released him, but the group of thugs immediately closed in and surrounded him from every side.

Kevin gritted his teeth and gave the order, his voice shaking with hatred.

“Every one of you will do to him exactly what you did to Helena. You will repeat everything on his body. If any of you fail to do it properly, I’ll make sure both you and your families pay a terrible price!”

The thugs were terrified and immediately obeyed Kevin’s command. When Kevin and Galvin walked out of the villa, Andrea’s miserable screams soon rang out from inside.

Kevin lowered his head deeply. Both of his hands were clenched tightly into fists. A moment later, broken sobs slowly escaped from his throat.

“Helena, I’m sorry… I finally got revenge for you.”

After being tortured for two days and two nights, there was not a single unharmed place left on Andrea’s body. His anus had been completely destroyed, and every tooth in his mouth had been pulled out. He looked no different from a filthy, torn piece of cloth that had been thrown away.

After that, Andrea was handed over to the police. He and several important members of the Preston family were charged with trafficking illegal goods, firearms, taking part in cross-border money laundering, human trafficking, and hiring professional killers to murder people…

The further the investigation went, the more horrifying the crimes committed by Andrea and the Preston family became.

Countless families had been destroyed because of them, and countless lives had been taken away. After being found guilty of one serious crime after another, Andrea and the other members of Preston were sentenced to death.

On the day the sentences were announced, Helena also saw the news on television. But she did not feel happy at all.

Andrea being sentenced to death could not erase everything she had suffered. It could not take away the pain or the memories. And her child had never been given the chance to grow safely and healthily inside her womb.

At that moment, Ellie came to visit her as she usually did. But today, she had brought someone with her.

That person was Dr. Lion.

After helping Ellie escape from the villa, Dr. Lion had been imprisoned by Andrea inside a room in the basement of an old research facility.

Andrea had not killed him immediately. He had planned to capture Ellie again and then force Dr. Lion to continue carrying out the brainwashing experiments on her. But after the plan to take Ellie back failed, Andrea had been attacked by Galvin before he had the chance to return and deal with Dr. Lion.

By the time Dr. Lion was rescued, his body had become extremely weak. There were many wounds all over him, but his mind was still clear, and he remained fully conscious.

Ellie became extremely emotional when she saw that Dr. Lion was still alive. If it had not been for him, Andrea might really have turned her into a puppet who could only obey his orders. After that, she told him everything about Helena’s current condition and asked whether he knew of any way to save the child inside her.

After reading through Helena’s entire medical record, Dr. Lion fell silent and thought for a very long time. Then he asked to examine Helena himself.

After the examination, he asked the doctors to carry out several more special tests that had not been done before.

In the end, he said directly, “The baby still has a chance of surviving.”

That single sentence immediately made Helena extremely agitated.

“Is that true?”

Dr. Lion did not nod right away. He only said, “The fact that the fetal heartbeat has not stopped is already something very rare in a condition like this. The fetus has been injured, and there are also problems with the placenta, but the baby is still holding on inside the uterus. That proves the child has a very strong will to live. However, trying to save the baby will involve an extremely high level of danger.”

Ellie hurriedly asked, “How dangerous will it be?”
