Chapter 109.
Chapter 109.
Andria.
I listen in disbelief as Jerome confesses to his evil. It’s horrifying listening to the words he’s said. I already dread his the next words.
“He informed me of the party they had organized in honor of Anaya. And I found it a perfect opportunity to act. I asked him to use the party as an opportunity to offer Anaya as sacrifice to appease the Luna goddess. It was either that, or I killed his son. And he reluctantly agreed. In the end, I was avenged for Anaya’s betrayal against me. And Adrian destroyed his entire clan for a plot I had single handedly executed.” He smirks.
His gaze on me darkens.
I can’t believe Adrian wiped out his entire clan, his family, for a crime, which was orchestrated by this villain. Adrian’s father had only being a victim of Jerome’s manipulation. I want to scream. But I’m temporarily paralyzed and can barely do a thing but watch this despicable lycan confess to his crimes.
I only wish Adrian can come here soon and hear this. And I wish he wouldn’t come alone, because this Jerome guy is vicious.
He approaches me, sitting on the dust covered bed. In the dim light, I see his deep intense eyes. The heat of him, warms me. His cologne invades me.
We lock gazes for a few seconds. It’s intense and I notice he slowly leans in, his gaze holding mine all through. He reaches his fingers, as if he wants to trace my face with them. And then he stops abruptly and Jerome rises to his feet and abruptly walks out of the cabin.
The sky has already grown dark. The night insects chirping outside. My only hope is for Adrian to arrive soon.
At this rate, I only know that Jerome is unpredictable and I cannot determine his next action. I’m terrified. The words he uttered earlier, echoing inside my mind.
Tears slowly leak down my face, as a deep anguish shakes me. I don’t want to die like he’s said. I want to live. As I close my eyes, I feel movement begin to travel through my muscles. My fingers slowly get released. It’s like blood rushes slowly through them.
I begin to feel prickly aches in my entire body, as movement comes. It takes a few more seconds, but I’m able to lay flat on my back. As soon as I’m able, I exhale in relief. Flexing my fingers and toes, so that I can bring some blood to them. My chest expands and constricts as I pant in excitement. I hastily rise to my feet and grab a wooden log, which stood idly by the fireplace, moments ago. I rush to hide behind the door, anxiously waiting for Jerome.
I hear footsteps close to the door and shut my eyes tight, my hands poised in the air, as I aim to hit Jerome as he walks in through the door. The door opens with a creek, and I lift my hands above my head, bringing it down heavily, when a strong hand holds the wood. The hand grabs me, at the same time tossing the wood. I'm immediately pulled into strong, familiar arms.
“Adrian…” I gasp, as I feel my neck held in a choke hold.
My back to his front, Adrian has my body pressed aggressively against him. Breathing heavily against my ear. When I say his name again, he lowers his guard, and I can feel his strong hold slipping.
“Andria…” He turns me around and pulls me into a strong embrace.
He holds me tight, his breathing softening by the second, as he mutters my name continuously.
“You're here.” I mutter, crying.
He looks at me with affection and pulls me in a kiss. I moan into his lips. Drinking him. Drinking his scent. The strength he has to offer. He’s trembling from emotion as he intensifies the kiss.
Pulling away, Adrian looks me over. As soon as he’s satisfied that I’m fine, he hugs me again. “I love you, Andria. I’m sorry you had to suffer this because of me. I’m so happy you’re okay.” He kisses me frantically.
“How did you find me?” I ask.
“I sensed your location, My Heart.” He smiles warmly.
He’s so handsome, and all mine.
“Where’s Jerome?” He asks, anxiously.
“I don’t know…”
“It doesn’t matter. Come on, I’ve got to get you to safety. Let’s step outside, so I can get some moon power to teleport us out of here.” He takes my hand in his and drags me outside.
“You can teleport?” I ask him, astonished.
He gives me this amused grin, as he leads us towards the open sky, the moon shining up head.
“How do you think I got you out of the river fast, when you fell in?” He teases, as he stands under the moon light.
I step back, giving him room, as he seems to bathe in the moon light. I feel a certain glow, surround him, as the moon’s rays, faintly fall on him. Giving off this tingling sensation.
It’s like warm rays filtering on his skin. He looks so beautiful and there are these sickening sounds that come from his body, as he suddenly transforms before my eyes. He transforms into that vicious monster again.
When he’s done, he turns to me and gives me this apologetic look.
I see his concern. He’s worried that I might run off again in fear. This time I don’t run off. This time, I embrace my husband’s true nature. I step closer, under the beautiful moon. The night sounds call beautifully around us and the entire scenario is extremely magical.
“I love you the way you are. Monster and all.” I lean in, touching the clammy skin of his face.
Holding his grotesque face in between my palms. I kiss his lips. The smell of blood and flesh, wafting through my nostrils. But I ignore the sickening scent. I embrace Adrian.
