It’s been 5 years of living a normal life if having 2 children can even be normal, John Jnr is 6 years old and his little sister Catherine or Cat for short is 4 and believe me they keep us on our feet. Johnny and I don’t really have time for each other anymore or should I say we don’t really make time for each other which is making me sad. I miss my Johnny time. Yes, I love my children don’t get me wrong I love them with all my heart but I need some time with my husband and that is this year. My dad and Eva that got married a year ago, finally should I say, are taking the kids away over Christmas on a Disney boat cruise leaving me and Johnny alone for 2 weeks where we can do whatever we want and one of those things were we had plans going to Las Vegas to see Jenn and Romeo apparently it’s going to be an adult week as their children will also be away. This will also be the first time we are away from the children over Christmas which is going to feel weird but we need the break, and I’m sure if Jenn are letting her children out of her sight over Christmas it was time for them to have a break as well.
The children were so excited every day, John Jnr will tell us how many sleeps there were left until they go away with papa and nana on a cruise, he might be 6 but he loves his papa and nana which was good in my books. I liked Eva and are more than happy that she was my children’s Nana and not my own mother. Was that ugly and weird probable for some but not for me. It was the night before my dad was coming to get them and believe me, we tried everything for the kids to sleep but the excitement was just too much, at the end of the might John Jnr and Cat was in our bed, Johnny and I tried to sleep but Cat was not having it she wanted to stay awake because she was seeing Micky and Minni mouse tomorrow. At 3 am at last both the children passed out and Johnny and I could get some shut eye. I was working mostly from home these days so I had the kids 24/7 so basically, I need this vacation as well. At 8 am the alarm went off and both Johnny and I gave a sigh because we basically just went to bed. I already got the kids stuff ready it was just getting them ready and the fact that they also just went to sleep was a problem because now they didn’t want to wake up.
Johnny and I got their bags to the door and made them some breakfast before we wake them up. My father said they are coming to fetch them at 10 am so Johnny and I waited until the last minute to wake them up and get them ready. When they where finally awake and realized Papa and Nana is coming it was a mission to get them dressed, because the excitement was back and they just wanted to get to the front door they didn’t want to miss Papa and Nana. Eventually we got them both dressed and teeth brushed before the doorbell rang. “Papa Nana.” John Jnr screamed which made Cat follow her brother. Johnny had to catch her before she ran down the stairs we didn’t want to go to the ER today, so he carried her down but when they got down stairs, she was very quick to tell her dad “Put me down please dada.” He put her down and she ran the last few steps into her Nana’s arms. “Hi my sweet girl” Eva said. “Nana, we going to see Micky and Minni Mouse.” “Oh yes we are and don’t forget Pluto and Donald Duck and all the princesses.” “Duck” Cat said. “Everything is ready dad.” “You two look like crap.” My dad said. “Jeez thanks dad, we’ll see how the two of you look after the next 2 weeks.” “I raised two girls there is nothing to it and Eva here raised a boy and a girl we’ve got this.” It was the first time my father referred to my sister without a tear in his eye. “Well then enjoy it.” Both Johnny and I kissed the kids and my dad and Eva and waved to them as they drove away.
As I closed the door when they were gone both Johnny and I slid to the floor I had my head on his shoulder before he could even think of doing it to me. “I guess this wasn’t a great idea.” Johnny said “What?” “Sitting on the floor.” “Nope because now, we need to get up.” He got up first and helped me to my feet. “I’ll race you to bed.” Johnny said. “Oh no there is no way I can run to bed.” I told him. He grabbed me around my waist and threw me over his shoulder. I hit his ass as I hang over him. “Put me down.” “You want to walk to the room?” He asked slapping me on my ass. “Nope I’m good here.” I said just hanging over his shoulder. “I thought so.” When we got in our room he dropped me onto the bed. “I don’t know about you but I need more sleep.” Johnny said. “Oh yes please.” He dropped his sleeping pants which made him naked. I looked at him with hunger in my eyes, when last did we have sex? I thought. “Come on babe the kids aren’t here drop those cloths.” He didn’t have to ask me twice but I didn’t get out of bed as I got out of my PJ’s. Johnny got into bed and pulled my naked body against his. “Let our vacation begin.” He said. “What? With a nap?” I teased him. “Not just any nap a naked nap.” He said smiling at me.
