Chapter 69
Emeralds POV
We went back to his house and got ready for the game. I wore a thicker sweater and jeans and thick socks. It had gotten cooler out since we left dinner. I also packed a bag though in case we wanted to go into the pool or not.
Jeremy asked me questions after we climbed into the car on the way home how I felt about everything and I mean I was honest. It was all good and everything. I wasn’t really too upset. I was weirded out yes by both of my parents suddenly being so cordial with each other and now having them both in my life. But other than that I was actually good with everything. We really didn’t talk about my powers which was good. I just started with them anyway which is probably why it wasn’t brought up. It wasn’t the most important thing to be discussed at the time.
Jeremy had also changed clothes as well. But because he had more powers than I did he didn’t have to pack a bag. But I did at least pack an extra towel.
When we arrived to Amelia’s game we were ready to cheer her on.
I sat next to my girls on the bleachers 2 rows back from the boys. They both wore sweaters and jeans. Tanya had a red sweater with light blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Cherise had on a green sweater and dark blue jeans with black tennis shoes. Ryder had a similar sweater wearing green as well. He also has wore black jeans and black tennis shoes. Jeremy sat next to Ryder while he gave Jeremy more lessons about football.
“Anything else happen since we last spoke?” Asked Cherise as we watched her daughter.
“Well, I had lunch with my parents. They were both cordial and nice to each other. They want to restart their relationship. I think it is weird. But at the same time I think it will take time for me to get used to it. I did forgive her for now. But I have to see how it goes. I mean I just want to start off slow and see how she does as my mom.” I explained.
“That’s good. Is she going to like try to parent you or anything?” Asked Tanya.
“She said no. She said I am an adult and she can’t parent me now but at least I guess she can be there for me through out life experiences.” I said.
“Right.” Said Cherise.
“Right like she can’t discipline me or anything like that. I think she realizes that.” I said.
“That’s good though she wants to have like a redo. Does she know now of your dad and what he is?” asked Cherise.
“Yeah. He said she knew everything. That they have been spending a lot of time together the past couple days.” I said.
“Oh well that’s good. I guess a redo is a full on redo.” Said Cherise.
“Right.” I said. “But we are going to go see his island tomorrow.”
“I’m happy that you are. You need to see where you came from and where you grew up.” Said Tanya.
“I agree fully.” I said.
“Is Jeremy and your mom coming too?” Asked Tanya.
“Yes.” I said.
“That’s good.” She said.
“It is. But one thing at a time.” I said.
“Anything else?” Asked Cherise.
“Listen nosy.” I laughed.
“I want to know everything. Like so is Jeremy here permanently now?” Asked Cherise.
I laughed because Jeremy looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Well we are figuring things out.” I said.
“So are you two moved in together? Like officially?” Asked Cherise.
“Um, well, I, uh,” I started.
He looked at me and I looked down at the ground. I didn’t know what to say. We didn’t say it to each other so how could I say it to somebody else.
“Um, you see, I,” I started.
“Cherise, I would love for Emerald to live with me but I want her to see my island first before we make a decision on where to live in what house. Like I would love to live in both realms. But I have to remember that Emerald also has a full time boss as an owner.” He said for me.
“You really want me to?” I asked.
“Yeah remember I am your teacher now so you kind of are stuck with me.” He said.
“You teacher? What kind of weird kink is that?” Asked Cherise.
Tanya laughed.
“It’s not a kink. It’s true. Jeremy’s teaching me how to use my powers.” I said.
“You thought it was a kink.” Tanya laughed.
“Hey Emeralds done weirder things.” Said Cherise.
“I have not!” I gasped as Jeremy just stared at me with an arched brow.
“Jeremy don’t believe Cherise. She’s just trying to ruffle Emeralds feathers.” Tanya said nudging him in his shoulder.
“I was about to get ideas.” He said.
“You don’t need any ideas!” I gasped and tapped him in the back of the head.
“I know! Geez!” He gasped as he held the back of his head.
I laughed, “That did not hurt.”
He smiled at me.
I rolled my eyes.
“So when will Emerald get to see your island?” Asked Cherise.
“Soon, very soon.” He said.
“That’s good.” She said.
“Maybe after seeing her dad’s tomorrow. We can make plans for this upcoming weekend. I want her to be comfortable and have time to
adjust to everything.” He said.
“I understand. I fully agree.” I said.
“See? Already we have a plan.” Jeremy said.
“Are we still having a pool party later?” I asked.
“Of course. We upped the heat slightly.” Ryder said.
“Yeah it will be nice and toasty.” Cherise said.
“Good.” I said.
“Luke and Theo will meet us there.” Jeremy said.
“Oh my god. You guys will love Theo. He’s hilarious and reminds me a lot of Cherise so just be prepared Tanya there’s going to be two of them.” I said.
“Oh great.” Tanya said slapping her forehead with her palm of her hand.
I laughed.
“I’m not that bad.” Said Cherise.
“No but I swear you two could pass for twins with how theatrical you two are.” I said.
She blew raspberries at me.
We cheered as Amelia hit a ball and ran around the bases.
“I think ice cream in on the menu for tonight.” I said.
“I think she deserves it.” Said Cherise.
“Oh totally.” I said.
Tanya laughed, “Im not picking up the pizza this time. Ryder and Cherise are picking it up on the way to their house.”
“Oh yeah and who decided that?” Ryder asked with a fun loving attitude.
“I did just now. I did it last time and now it’s your turn.” She said.
“True. She’s right Ryder.” Said Cherise.
I laughed. “Well next season we will get the first pizza.”
“If there is a next season.” Said Cherise.
Ryder laughed, “It is up to her, remember?”
“I know, I know.” Said Cherise.
“Okay then. Anyways the games almost over. We only have one more inning left the its over for the season.” Ryder said.
Jeremy said, “Maybe next time you can talk to me about baseball. I’m getting a better understanding of football. Now it will be on to baseball.”
“Sounds good.” Said Ryder.
“Boys.” I said rolling my eyes.
The last inning came and went and we all congratulated her for winning the game for the end of the season win.
We climbed into our car as the crowd disbursed and I asked Jeremy, “Were you serious about us moving in together?”
“Emerald we technically are living together.” He said.
I stayed quiet.
“I want you to live with me. We technically are. Emerald would you like to live with me personally? Whether it’s at this house here on the human realm or on my island?” He asked me as he stared at me and held my hand.
“I would love to Jermey.” I said as I squeezed his hand.
“Good because technically there isn’t really anything at your house anyway. I brought most of your clothes and stuff anyway. So there’s really not much left over there except food in the fridge and personal odds and ends like photos and stuff.” He said.
“Well maybe over this next week we can get whatever’s left.” I suggested.
“I like the sound of that.” He grinned holding my hand as he drove to Cherise and Ryder’s house.
