First Date
"Mom, you were right! I always wondered why I was going through all of this, but now I understand. As a reward very handsome guy asked me out at a party tonight!" I exclaimed, bouncing on my toes.
Her eyes welled up with tears at my happiness.
That evening, I dressed modestly, going for a loose pink shirt and leaving my hair down.
I was too shy to wear anything revealing, so I tucked my hair behind my ear and headed to the address I needed to visit.
Upon arriving at the house, I noticed it was completely dark. A shadowy figure ran inside with a candle in hand.
"Vincent?" I called out as I entered.
Suddenly, I felt another figure approaching from behind. I turned around, only to be startled by a person in a grizzly bear costume leaping at me.
I let out a scream and fell to the ground, realizing it was just a prank as I felt the fur.
However, I soon realized there were multiple people in costumes surrounding me.
Before I could react, a man's voice echoed through the room "Hey!" he entered through the main door, calling my name. It was Vincent.
"Willow, are you okay?" He rushed to my side, helping me up from the ground.
I was shaking with fear, he turned on the lights and apologized for what I had just been through.
As he examined my injured forehead, "I don't understand, why they did this!" He whispered "I am so sorry!"
I had gotten this wound when I fell down.
"Here, let me help you," he said as he led me to the bedroom.
"This is my room," he declared, seating me on the bed.
He retrieved a first aid bandage from the drawers and applied it to my wound.
As I moaned, he reassured me, "It's alright, I'm here." When he prepared to depart, I was frightened so I grasped his hand tightly.
"Please don't leave me," I pleaded, our eyes locked together.
He approached me and kissed me, causing me to tremble. He gazed into my eyes and kissed me once more, holding me tightly.
His hand moved slowly, reaching down until he attempted to remove my shirt.
I stopped him by holding his hand. "Can we do this with the lights off?" I whispered.
He smiled and replied, "Of course!" He turned off the light and resumed kissing me, removing my shirt.
His hands explored my body, and I felt a sense of numbness and surrender.
This was everything I had ever desired - being in his embrace, losing myself in his kisses and touch.
However, things took a strange turn when I realized that the hands around me multiplied.
"There's someone else here too!" I exclaimed, breaking away from his kiss in a panic.
"What are you talking about, babe?" he whispered, deepening his kisses on my skin.
But just like the hands, even the lips multiplied, and I suddenly realized that I was being surrounded by more than one or two men.
"Let me go!" I cried out, but their grip only tightened. Two pairs of hands held my wrists, while two more held my feet.
Their lips were all over me, and I felt a suffocating sense of disgust.
I screamed for help, but even my mouth was silenced by a hand.
I began to squirm and wept as a hand began to pull my underwear. "Please, either kill me or make me disappear from this place!" I silently pleaded in my heart, but then a deafening roar echoed throughout the house, startling them away.
"What just happened?" one of the guys inquired.
Seizing the opportunity, I sank my teeth into Vincent's hand, causing him to cry out and retreat.
With a swift strike of my heel to one of the guy's jaws, I made my escape.
I sprinted toward the kitchen and seized a knife.
"Really? How many of us do you think you can kill?" Vincent taunted.
Even the person who had taunted me in class was there.
Instead of confronting them, I dashed toward the staircase, as one of them blocked the entrance.
I ran and ran until I reached the rooftop.
There I stood, only in my undergarments, as the entire neighborhood was swallowed by the darkness.
I positioned myself at the edge of the rooftop.
"Take a deep breath and come down from there!" Vincent stepped forward.
"We all know you're terrified of heights!" he whispered, attempting to destabilize me.
I pressed the knife against my throat. "Whoa! You're not capable of such an act!" he exclaimed.
But I tightened my grip on the knife, causing my skin to break and blood to trickle.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of!" I declared, and then slit my throat.
Suddenly the storm of emotions raging within me calmed. I felt a sense of numbness wash over me, a hollow emptiness that seemed to consume the very essence of my life. As I pressed the blade against my skin, feeling the sharp sting as it sliced through flesh.
A fountain of blood spilled out from the wound, staining my skin and clothes. I felt a strange sense of detachment wash over me, as if I felt disconnected from the pain and trauma that swallowed me.
And then, as I stood at the edge, I let go, allowing myself to fall into the nothing below. The air rushed past me in a blur, whipping at my face and hair violently flapping as I saw myself driving farther and farther away from the skies above, toward the ground below.
In those final moments, as the world spun around me in a dizzying whirl, I felt a strange sense of peace wash over me. It was as if time itself had slowed to a crawl, each second stretching out into eternity as I embraced the only merciful feeling that was ready to embrace me, my death.
And then, darkness cradled me in its cold embrace as my vision blurred and faded into nothingness.
Vincent and his friends were in a state of panic, overwhelmed by the fear of getting caught. They quickly thought of a plan.
"Get rid of the video, erase everything from your camera!" Vincent instructed the friend who was recording.
"Bring the shovel!" He ordered another friend, and they proceeded to bury me in the ground along with my dress and glasses, treating me as if I were nothing more than a show that had come to an end.
