Chapter 18

It's Jayden!

Mae POV

I just can't wait to see my sweetheart again, after years of being separated. The joy of coming back to Oklahoma, can't be described by words. I've missed everything about the city, and not only that, I've really missed Jayden. All these years without him, have been hell for me.

Jayden has been my childhood biggest crush, I've always loved him, but the young handsome man doesn't seem to care about me, not that I care though, as long as he let me love him, that's enough for me, I know with time, he'll realize how much I love him, and will be left with no choice, but to love me.

After what seemed like forever, our flight finally landed at the airport, and in the next few minutes, I was already on my way, driving to their house. I actually talked to uncle Oscar, Jayden's dad, that I'm staying over at his house, and he told me that it's fine, so I'm going to have all the time in the world with Jay, I'll make him fall in love with me, for these months that I'm going to be spending with him.

I arrived his house late in the morning, and as expected, his dad told me that he already went to the office. As much as I want to see him, going to his office to give him a surprise visit, is the last thing on my mind, I don't want to get him pissed.

Madam Rebecca, the only maid in the house, showed me to my supposed room. Stepping into the spacious room, I headed to the beautiful bed, and sat down on it, and wow, everything here, is almost same as the one in my room. I just need a little rearrangement, and everything will be perfect.

Laying on the bed, and staring at the ceiling, a smile crept its way to my face, I can't believe I'm going to be staying under same roof with my mr handsome. The sound of my ringing phone jolted me out of my world of fantasy, and sitting up on the bed, I grabbed my phone, and smiled at the caller ID, it's a video call from mom. Sliding the answer button, mom and dad's face came into view, having a smile on their faces.

"Hey dear." Mom said from the other end, while smiling.

"Hey mommy, hey daddy." I chuckled softly, and blew them a kiss.

"Hey princess, did you got home safely? How's Oscar?" Dad asked.

"Yes daddy, but the journey was quite hectic, urgh! I'm so tired, I just want to take my bath, eat something, and get some sleep. Mr Oscar is fine, and he's really happy to see me." I groaned tiredly, and yawned.

"Oh that's great. How's Jayden?" Mom asked, giving me a smirk. Mom have always wanted me to be with Jayden, and I want same thing.

"Haven't seen him mom, dad told me that he went to work, and will be back in the evening, can't wait to see him, I've really missed him so much." I chuckled softly.

"I can imagine that. Anyways, my regards to him." She smiled.

"Alright, I'll definitely do that. I gotta go now mom, talk to you later." I said, before hanging up. I sighed deeply, and dropped my phone on the bed, before laying on my back, while staring at the ceiling.

Letting out a soft sigh, I stood up, and dragged my feet to the bathroom, which is as beautiful as mine. Stepping into the bathroom, I closed the door behind me, and stripped out of my clothes, before stepping into the jacuzzi, after which I relaxed underneath, as I let the warm soapy water, caress my skin, relaxing my tensed and tired muscles.

My mind wandered off to Jayden, and I just couldn't help imagining what he looks like now. It's been years, since we last saw each other, and for these past years, we only talked on phone, he never picked any of my video calls, and even feels reluctant, picking my voice calls at times.

After staying under the jacuzzi, for what seemed like forever, I finally stepped out, and got under shower, after which I turned it on, and let the water cascaded down my body, cleaning off the soap from my flawless and spotless skin, which glowed under the water. After I was done bathing, I grabbed my towel, and tied it around my chest, before stepping out of the bathroom.

Walking into the room, I walked over to the dresser, which had so many make-ups, arranged on it, and I sat down, before getting started with dressing. After I was done applying makeups on my face, I stood up and headed to the corner of the room, where my bag was standing, and dragging it towards the bed, I sat on the edge of the bed, and opened the bag, before selecting a pink long jean trouser, and a white crop top.

Minutes later, I was already standing in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection, amd I must confess that I look extremely beautiful, with my blonde hair, parked in ponytail, a pink lip gloss on my lips, and a light makeup, and I think I'm good to go with just this.

"Perfect." I muttered, while smiling. Glancing at the time, I realized that I have spent so much time in the room already, as it's already 2pm.

Stepping out of the room, I walked through the hallway, and headed straight to the staircase. Descending down the staircase, I got to the living room, where I met uncle Oscar, reading a newspaper as always. This man hasn't changed a bit, this is how he's always been, if not reading newspaper, then he's watching news on TV. Gosh!

"Uncle good afternoon." I greeted, as I went to sit on the couch across him.

He raised his gaze to look at me, as a smile crept its way to his face.

"Mae... how're you doing?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"I'm fine, just a bit tired." I said sincerely.

"You should be resting, you know?" He said.

"There's almost forever to do that uncle." I replied. We talked about random things for what seemed like forever, and when it's 5pm, I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner for everyone.

An hour passed, and he still isn't back, so I put a call through to him, but he didn't pick up, and I couldn't help getting worried. What's going on with him?

After I was done cooking, I dished out the food, and went out to the dinning room, when I saw someone climbing the stairs, it's Jayden!....
