Chapter 59 59

Chapter 59 59
Phoebe~~

Two months down, and I had been doing well in the fashion academy. There, I mixed up with different species, not just the lycans. It was all fun, having to play around and learn with students of my age, both male and female, and what I loved most was the boundaries set.

While signing the academy contract, one of the rules stated that students, for no reason, would display their feelings for each other. So one must hide their feelings or pretend not to have anything to do with each other until after they graduate.

Guess what I loved most? The academy was just for a year, and I had ten months left.

The manager had once admired my practical work, then made a statement about employing me after the academy if I was interested. It was a kind place to work in, so I would prefer working for them and saving up to establish mine gradually. By the time I made a name for myself and collaborated with so many territories, I would have enough backup to claim back every member of my pack and Knox’s pack once again.

I was very busy, crafting the design we had been assigned to do from scratch. To create a unique design from our mind, then bring it to life, and I was so keen to at least bring in a new design by the end of the day, so I would begin the production the next day.

Some other students were busy chatting, and I had paid less attention to them, not until I heard them mention the Fearless Keepers Pack and Alpha Knox, so I raised my head, as though I was beginning to hear with my eyes.

One of them went ahead to say, “My dad had said that his families were all wiped out. Their palace was set on fire, and only Alpha Knox survived as he wasn't in there when it took place.”

“What about her sister? Her corpse wasn't found, so she had been declared missing since then,” another added, and I slowly dropped my pencil.

“No one has seen her sister, so we all will assume she also died while escaping.”

“But how come such a thing happened in such a palace filled with guards? Were they betrayed?”

“They were attacked by a rival, so Alpha Knox grew the Fearless Keepers pack from scratch after recovering from the trauma.”

“I see why he's so brutal and was after getting rid of other packs. Still at the end, he died just like his family. Maybe if he had moved on…

“That's not possible! Would you have moved on after finding your family all burnt? Some revenge isn't left for the moon goddess alone.”

Bitterness clung to my chest while listening to them. I nearly bit my lower lips from how enraged my wolf was. How could there be such a history, and I didn't know about it? Who could it be that did such a savage thing to his family? And now he was dead too, but he didn't get to see his sister.

No doubt, that veiled lady was his sister who was declared missing. Covering her face made it difficult to find her, and the fact that she doesn't have memories of her past, nor her wolf scent. Otherwise, just by her scent, she could have been found.

Maybe it was for the good that at least someone was surviving in the family, just like me. In the future, she would rule her brother's pack.

I felt like I was brought back to reality, and a soft gasp left my lips. How was I feeling this way for someone who made my family pass through hell? Whatever was done to his family had nothing to do with us, yet he came after us and left the other packs.

Alpha Dean seemed to be after his life, while my father was even scared of him, yet he took his life.

Oh yes! He deserved death. He should have just focused on the people who hurt his family and not mine. Did he think he would live long after doing that to my family? Her sister was safe just because she knew nothing about what his brother did, or she would have been among the captives in the Crescent Moon pack.

I tried my best and got rid of my stupid emotions, then got back to work, so I would meet my target by the end of the day.

By the time I completed everything, I decided to get my working materials together, so maybe I would work at night when I had nothing to do. There was electricity, because workers are into shifting, but students closed for the day once it was 6 pm.

Just an hour left before I close for the day, two other students and I were sent on an errand to the Lycan Palace.

“The princess needs this urgently, and the dispatch riders are all fixed up, so could you help take it? A cab would be boarded for you three,” the assistant manager explained to us.

We had no other option than to accept it, especially since we weren't going to trek.

In the next few minutes, we were already standing before the palace gate and knocking, so the guard at work let us in. I didn't expect the others to hand over the package to me because I was the only werewolf among them, while they were humans.

“Please, do this for us.”

I smiled and had to, so we could leave on time. So I reached out to one of the servants I met with and asked about the princess, and was taken to her.

“Your highness, I brought this for you,” I said to her and dropped it on the bed.

She didn't seem happy, but still opened it and checked, then nodded.

“I will have to take my leave.”

“Not yet!” She stopped me and stood up. “You are a werewolf…”

“Yes, princess!” I lowered my face.

She walked closer and folded her arms, “Why do I feel a royal energy around you? Were you an alpha princess?”

I chuckled and shook my head, “Look, I'm just a student from the fashion academy, my princess.”

She sighed, “But I don't mean any harm. Tomorrow is my wedding ritual, and I need a chief bride beside me, but none of my servants can play it very well. What about you do it for me?”

I didn't need to think it through because that wasn't the reason I was here. If I made myself visible now that I was still a nobody, Alpha Dean could find me easily and come for me. So I shook my head, “Truly, I can't do it, because I've never done such a thing. Also, I have a task that I need to complete and submit by tomorrow.”

“What about I talk to your head? She also knows how much I've wanted this.”

“Please!” I mentioned and bit my lips. I was about to walk out on her when someone forcefully pushed the door and barged in. His gaze landed on me, and his lips curled in amusement. With his outfit, I already knew his rank, so I bowed to him. “Lycan prince!”

He chuckled and walked past me towards his sister. “When did you get such beauty as your servant?” he whispered to her, but I heard it clearly with my wolf hearing ability.

“Don't be stupid! She's a student from the fashion academy,” the princess snapped at him and frowned more. “I want her to be….

“I'm taking my leave!” I cut her short and reached the door, but the prince grabbed me from behind and left me quickly. “Lycan prince…”

“If you accept her offer, I will build your empire after the academy,” he said, and I was sure he didn't think it through first, because no one would just say that without having a second thought.
