CHAPTER 25

The next day Diwata woke up early. She first cooked breakfast for the two of them. Now she is planning to go home to their house. Now she will also tell her husband that she wants to separate from him, she heard footsteps on the stairs so she turned to look at it. Hale is currently downstairs while just topless and rubbing her wet hair.

He took a bath.

However, it is busy in the office, she immediately closed her eyes and turned away because it was approaching her.

Why is it naked? It's so cold.

“Hale, you're awake. I cooked our breakfast," she told Hale but she didn't look back.

She couldn't see the reaction on his face.

"Why did you turn your back on that? What are you doing?" Hale asked her.

“Because you're naked. C-can you get dressed?" she pleaded in a stuttering voice.

“Uh, sorry about it. I'll put on my shirt, ” he replied a little shyly. She counted 30 seconds before she faced it again. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Hale was already dressed.

He sat down on a chair and she also sat opposite to it. He watched the food she served on the table. The two of them were just silent and she was the first to break the silence.

“Ahm, Hale, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for welcoming me to your house. Thank you for helping me. Without you, maybe I don't know what happened to me," she said here. It was just looking at her, the stare in his eyes was so deep that it gave her a strange feeling. Here it is again, her reprimanding heart that always beats when Hale is in front of her and he looks at her like that.

“I do not accept thanks. There is a compensation for that," Hale suddenly told her causing her to look at it with shock in her eyes.

“H-huh? Is there a replacement? I thought that helping me came from your heart." She sniffed and drink milk from the glass.

She saw Hale simply laugh but that was only for a moment and his face immediately returned to seriousness.

"Won't you ask what the replacement is?" Hale asked her while raising an eyebrow.

“W-what is the replacement? What can I do?"

Hale was silent for a moment and then he spoke as well.

“The replacement is simple. Just love me."

Her eyes widened because of what Hale said. She choked on the milk she was drinking so Hale quickly joined her and stroked her back.

“What the?! Are you okay?" he asked while behind her. She could feel his hand caressing her back.

She coughed and coughed for a while because of her suffocation before she recovered.

Was Hale serious about what it told her?

“H-hale, what are you saying? Are you kidding me?" she returned to the young man but he only frowned.

“Why? Can't you love me?" he asked her. Hale didn't have a smile now and his face was very serious as he looked at her.

Love? Is it okay? Even though she is happy with Hale and she likes it because she is comfortable with it, it is not possible for them to have a relationship because she is married. She knew that was wrong.

“B-but Hale, I'm married. And you? Dont you have a girlfriend or are you married too?”

She saw Hale sigh because of what she said.

He rubbed his own forehead before speaking.

“Do I look like I'm married? Do you think I will let you live in my house if I'm married? Do you see any other woman in this house besides you?"

She was stunned by what Hale said.

"You are kind so I believe that even if you are married you will still help me," she replied. It only made him look more disappointed because of her answer. It was as if he was running out of patience.

“Fuck! Don't you feel it? You are important to me Diwata, I love you!" its confession to her.

Again her heartbeat quickened because of what he said. She did not know how she would react.

“B-but I'm married Hale. I am married.”

Hale shook his head and waved.

“Fuck that reason! Your husband doesn't love you, because if he loves you he won't fool you!”

She bowed because of what Hale said. Truth seems to have slapped her because of that. What it says is true. If Lee really loves her it won't fool her. It will not bear children with another woman. She held back the tears that were about to drip from her eyes.

"It's still wrong for you to love me Hale," she said as his sad eyes stared at her face. Hale's forehead furrowed as he looked at her.

"Whats wrong? Just tell me that we both feel the same way Diwata and I am ready to break all the laws in this world! ”

Hale just stared at her and his eyes were full of determination. She was swallowed up and could not speak.

In the short time she had met Hale she felt at ease here. She feels she is always safe as long as she is with him. It was as if no one was oppressing her and even though she was insulted often that was not a reason for her to hate it, but rather that she know him even more. Hale is a real person. He was not a bad person just because he insulted her, she knew Hale's heart well because she could feel it. She seemed to be floating in the air as all the words he left sank into her mind. Hale loves her. Is all this true? Someone else would love her besides her parents because her husband Lee didn't really love her. He deceived her and even his family as well.

Even before she could speak she felt Hale's hand press against her waist and the next thing that happened was that his lips were pressed against hers.

She didn't move immediately and her eyes widened as his lips slowly moved to hers, even though it wasn’t the first time their lips had met it still seemed like a new feeling to her but she would admit she seemed to be floating in the cloud.

She reciprocated his kiss and moved her lip as well. A corner of Hale's lip rose as she retaliated with its kiss.

Hale was the first to let go of that kiss.

“Now I know that you feel the same way about me. You can't hide it anymore, Diwata. You kissed me back and that means you have a feelings for me. Do I still need to explain properly? I know you're childish but I also know that it's not hard for you to know how you really feel. ”

She bit her lower lip after hearing what it said.

She knew that Hale had a special place in her heart and she would admit it, but right now the situation was still chaotic and she still had a lot of things to fix. Especially about her husband.

"H-hale I have to go home first and fix everything—"

"I will not allow myself not to be with you in fixing anything that needs to be fixed. Let's go, I will convey you," he interrupted. Hale grabbed her hand and she did nothing because no matter how much she refused, Hale still insisted.

She was nervous about the possibilities but every time she looked that Hale was just next to her her nervousness subsided.
