"Yes, I have given it a lot of thought and there is one thing that bothers me,' she stepped a little closer to me. "Do you in any sort of way have feelings for OCEANA, Gérard?"
My heart sank.
She moved closer to me and grabbed my collars, fuming so much with anger.
"What is the meaning of this?" I slowly morph into my wolf form, the darkest part of me seeping out of my bones.
"Leave Oceana alone,' she whispered fiercely with gritted teeth. "I don't know what you did to her at the pleasure house but stay away from my daughter or else, I will have your head. Have you forgotten what we promised? The promised you made to us. Don't fail us and I'm warning you, if anything should come out and get into the people's ear, I would not hesitate to get you out of the way, you cursed Alpha, stay away from my daughter. It's a warning, don't let me hate you."
I gave a sad smile. "Is that why you are holding my collar, because of Oceana?"
"You've been acting suspicious around her for years, I didn't want to say anything. I hate you the minute I set my eyes on you. You can't take what belongs to her. She is the heir of this clan, do not interfere in her life, you've been nothing but trouble and I regret letting you live with her, I loathe you." She yelled.
I held her hands with my claws, my skin was beginning to change. "You knew," I whispered.
She frowned.
"You knew I was madly in love with her, that's why you chased me away from her eight years ago. You didn't want to talk about it. You wanted us to think you knew nothing about what's going on, guess what! You are the cause of what's happening between us, I love her so much and you can't stop that. You can't stop me from falling in love with her."
"GERARD." She screeched.
"I love her so much. I want you to keep hearing those words every day for the rest of your life and guess what, I am her MATE." I revealed.
She covered her opened mouth with her hands and shook her head continuously, she was nearly in tears. "No! No! No!" She screamed and fell to the floor.
"It isn't my fault, Lupita, I am her fucking mate, do you know that?'
She began sobbing.
My eyes welled up with tears. "I can't take it anymore, the bond between us is getting stronger by the day. It is killing me and I have no other choice but to mark her."
"Please Gérard, don't do it, I beg of you, please don't."
"I have no other choice, Mother, she is mine to take, I don't give a damn if I'm married. I'm tired of enduring all these. I took it upon myself for years, do you know what I went through."
"Gérard." She cried out.
I took a step and walked out on her, brushing past my father who heard everything about our conversation.
Subconsciously, I went to Oceana's room and opened the door.
She was on her bed and immediately she saw me, she got up from the bed and stared at me with worry…
"Gerard! What are you doing here?"
I rushed to her and gave a passionate kiss on her lips.
She was startled at first and then wrapped her hands around my neck.
I rapidly took off her clothes, and pushed her towards the bed and climbed on top of her.
We both stared at each other, gazed and she smiled at me. "Why are you like this?" She softly asked.
I smiled and got close to her ear. "What if I said that I want you so bad, my love. I can't hold it in anymore, mate."

I jumped in fear, seeing who it was made me relieved for a second there.
"Are you freaking nuts, Carmine.' I nearly snapped and I had to force myself to whisper to him.
He chuckled and left the wall he was leaning on, and came forward to me.
He darted his eyes towards the door with a smirk.
"What is the meaning of that?' I frowned.
"How was the fabulous sex?" he grinned.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "You know what! I wish I could smack you right now and throw you off this window which is seventy-four feet tall and wreck your hand and body from shapeshifting.'
He laughed and patted my shoulder and my annoyance was getting out of control, increasing in every minute.
"Why don't you tell her the truth, Gerard, it's high time she knows, don't she?'
I pushed him away from me and walked past him, ignoring his laughter but he ran after me, refusing to give up on me.
"Wait up, Gerard." he shouted and I just kept walking until he ran faster, brushed my shoulder, blocked my path and stretched his arms before me and panted.
"Stop making me run, will ya? You know I hate running.'
"I don't give a damn if you hate running, I never asked you to.' Attempting to walk past him, he blocked my path again.
"Get out of my way, Carmine.' I demanded .
"I'm not getting out of your way, why the fuck are you so pissed right now.'
"It is not any of your business,' I yelled at him.
"Since when does your issue become not my business, Gerard?" He asked. "Tell me why you are so pissed right now." he yelled back.
And I could my strength draining out of my body. I had to sit down on the floor and lean my back and my head on the wall just to take a deep breath.
After all, I went about five rounds with Oceana.
I closed my eyes when I felt Carmine sprinkling cologne on me.
"This will hide your scent, can't risk anyone perceiving her scent on you, you know how troublesome it will be.'
"Yeah.' I muttered and when he was done sprinkling cologne on me, he kept it back in his pocket and sat down on the ground beside me, slightly hitting my shoulder.
I ignored him as my gaze fell on my legs.
"It's been so long we both sat down on the floor like this, the last time we sat down was on the day Oceana was born,' he chuckled and smacked my shoulder. "Remember how nervous you were because Mom was in labor back then, it took hours for her to put to bed and when she finally did, we were all happy and had a huge celebration all night."
I smiled a little. "Yeah, father got heavily drunk and nearly danced around the streets in happiness.'
"He was almost naked, he wanted to shout to the world that his wife had put to bed and there were also a lot of guests on that day.'
"Some were already asking for Oceana's hand in marriage, I wanted to beat up that stupid Alpha for doing such a thing.'
He began laughing. "And I could also remember him saying, he wanted to get betrothed to Oceana before someone else took her away from him.'
"And the idiot was already married.' I said in annoyance.
"Yeah, he just wanted a virgin all to himself, what a piece of junk." He laughed and stretched out his legs.
"Really, a piece of junk.' I agreed.
"If you recall, when Mom gave birth to Alex, it wasn't as exciting as when she gave birth to Oceana.'
"Yeah, we all thought it was going to be another girl, but to our disappointment it was a boy.'
"Glad, he turned out to be an Alpha though, I could already imagine what his life is going to be about.' Carmine giggled.
Alex hated being an Omega.
"Seriously,' I rolled my eyes. "Don't let him hear those words from you, he will get mad.' I joined in.
"Wait, seriously, it will definitely suit him to be an Omega, he will be super cute and pampered.'
I laughed so hard. "Come on, don't let him hear you saying those words, he's gonna get fucking mad, Carmine. I'm being real dude.'
"Yeah and I don't give a damn.' He started and turned to me with a blank expression. "Gerard," he called me.
"What is it?' I knew where this was coming from and what he wanted to say to me.
"It's time for Oceana to know the truth.'
'What truth?' I feigned ignorance.
"That you are not her biological brother.' he blurted out as he whispered.
I sighed. "How is that going to change anything?" I asked and he turned to me once again.
"She has to know the truth…"
'That will worsen everything, don't you get it.'
"It's already getting worse and she doesn't give a damn anymore, she thinks you are her brother. That Alpha I call my sister will burn her hands to keep you warm. She loves you as fuck.'
"Will you shut up?" I flared up. "Cut the crap and stop telling me bullshit, Carmine, can you fucking hear yourself right now.'
"Of course, I know what I'm saying, it's high time you tell her the truth before things go south.'
He was right.
It was high time, I told the truth but I can't do that.
Since I have broken my promise, I only have to take one more step now or else my father will have my head.
"Mother found out about my feelings for Oceana.' I revealed.
"She WHAT!!" Carmine yelled.
"Bring your voice down.' I cautioned.
"No, no, Gerard, tell me it's not true that mother found out about the both of you.'
"Yes.' I whispered.
"Fuck, shit!' he cursed.
"That's why I want to make the next decision, since my father also found out as well.'
"What are you going to do about this, this will bring so much trouble."
"There's…there's only one way now.'
"And what is that?' he quickly questioned.
"You know my next action, Carmine.' I sadly smiled. "Thanks for always being there for me.'
