Chapter 123 Missing child I

Chapter 123 Missing child I

Time fractured.

Killian immediately slid out of her his cock glistening with her arousal.

Eva paused in shock, her gown bunched on her waist, her thighs still trembling.

Both their heads turned towards the door in shock.

Havilah stood wide eyed clutching her tablet. The Seven year old stared at her mother bent down awkwardly over a table and her uncle hastily lifting his trousers. Confusion clouded her small face.

A few seconds later, heavy footsteps were heard and General Edward appeared just in time to see his daughter and the chauffeur.

The air suddenly turned cold.

Edward’s face hardened into something lethal that could burn down a city.

“Havilah” he said, his voice dangerously low. He placed his large hands over her shoulder and quietly turned her away from the scene she shouldn’t have ever seen.

“Go play in your room, grandpa will come find you okay?.”

She nodded but didn’t move. At first she turned to look at her mother uncertainly before she obeyed her grandfather.

Eva turned her face away in shame.

Edward waited until he could no longer hear the sound of her little feet. Then he stepped inside with quick strides

Killian stood rigid, his eyes didn’t dare meet the General’s eyes.

Eva straightened slowly, dragging her gown down, her face smudged. She took a shaky step forward.

“D..daddy I.. can explain.. he forced me” Eva pointed at Killian her finger trembling.“I just came to.. to say hello.. he drew me in..I tried to stop him.” her voice cracked.

Killian’s head jerked up in shock, disbelief and betrayal.

“T-that’s not true..”

Edward’s fist cracked into Killian’s jaw before he could complete his statement. Killian staggered and fell on the floor, blood immediately streaked down the corner of his lips.

Eva gasped her hand flying to her mouth.

Killian tried to push himself up on one elbow.

“Sir, please… she..”

Edward’s boot slammed into his ribs Killian let out a choked groan.

“Shut your mouth.” Edward roared. “You don’t get to speak in this room… rapist!!”

Killian’s eyes flicked up to Eva pleading for her to tell the truth. To stop this.

She shook her head at him once, tears streaming faster.

Edward crouched slowly, he caught Killian’s jaw in a tight grip and forced his battered face upward.

“I gave you rights,” Edward roared. “Freedom to things a servant like you can never dream of. A sit at my table. My trust!. My grand daughter calling you ‘uncle’.” His fingers dug into his skin.

“And this is how you repay me? You force yourself on my daughter in your filthy little room… in front of my grandchild.”

Killian groaned in pain, his face turned crimson.

He tried to speak, blood gushed out from his nose and mouth l.

“I-I never meant for her to see..” he spoke weakly.

“She did see it,” Edward said, his voice ice cold. “And now she will carry that memory for the rest of her life.”

He let go of Killian’s jaw with a shove and straightened to his full height.

“Take him to the cell” he ordered the two security guards who had arrived and now stood at the door “No food and no water  until I decide what needs to be done.”

Killian’s chest squeezed as he was dragged away, he searched Eva’s face for remorse but there was nothing. Didn’t she feel a tiny thing for him?

Eva’s eyes remained on the floor, her teeth dug into her nails enough to draw blood as she pulled her hair.

He could endure this much right? It was just a little beating and hunger. It was nothing compared to the length he would go to for her

Since it was the servants quarters most of the servants had already gathered all trying to figure out what the fuss was about.

Kiara arrived, her eyes widened at the sight of her to see her daughter distraught, her makeup looked smudged, hair wild.

Killian was being pulled away. The servants dispersed quickly.

“What’s going on?” Kiara asked

“Mum, I didn't know Killian could do something like this ..” she choked “if I knew  I..I  couldn’t have trusted him enough to come to his quarters..it’s all my fault..I’m so sorry..” her feet buckled.

Kiara was confused at first but it didn’t take time before she  understood the situation.

“I told him it was wrong that I’m married.. he didn’t listen he…my life is finished what if my husband finds out..” she continued

Kiara gasped, putting a hand over her mouth.

Killian and Eva had been close; they never thought anything of it since they grew up together; he was her chauffeur.

Kiara bent down and pulled her daughter into a consoling hug.

“He wouldn’t find out.. nobody will tell him. Not a single soul in this house will dare or I will cut off their tongue and wipe their entire generation..” Kiara whispered, assuring her  to daughter.

Eva nodded and  gently pulled away.

“Avi, I need to find Avi..” she got up past her mother to go find her daughter. Her blonde hair stuck to the sweat on her forehead.

Eva rose her legs unsteady, her hair plastered to her face she needed to explain to her daughter. Kiara followed behind.

Edward watched his daughter with intent eyes until she disappeared down the hallway.

Eva stood in front of Havilah’s room door. Her father had arranged a whole floor for her when she was born.

She took deep breaths and opened the door.

“Avi? Sweetheart?” Eva’s voice rang shaky and high.

Havilah didn’t answer; she had the duvet over her head.

Eva moved closer towards the edge of the bed she knelt down. “Avi, it’s mummy..” her voice cracked.

There was still no answer or movement from her.

“Baby, what you saw… it wasn’t… Uncle Killian was being bad. He hurt Mummy. But Grandpa fixed it. He’s gone now… we don’t have to tell daddy okay?”

No response still. Eva squinted her brows and she reached for the duvet and opened it.

Havilah wasn’t there.
