Chapter 58

After spending their night in the place, they came home in the morning. Arriving at home, Elvira took Lael to his room and washed him and brushed his teeth. After that, she took him down to have breakfast. Giving Lael to Aunt Maria, Elvira went to the room. As soon as she entered the room, she heard the sound of Lain coughing. She hurried her steps into the washroom and looked at Lain who was coughing while lowering his head and covering his mouth with his one hand. She immediately went to him and grabbed him from his arm turning to him.

As Lain turned to her, Elvira’s heart trembled. Blood dripped down through the fingers of the hand which he was covering his mouth. Elvira’s eyes reddened and removed his hand from his mouth and looked at him. His mouth was covered with blood. His eyes reddened as if it was hurting him. Lain forced a smile at Elvira and covered his mouth again. Moving closer to the sink, he washed over his mouth and took a deep breath before turning to Elvira who had a pair of big watery eyes. She was already crying..

“Lain… what? What’s happening with you? Please… tell me.. I’m scared…” She held his arm while mumbling with her utterly broken voice. Lain stared at Elvira and chuckled casually without showing her any fear of any seriousness about what was happening with him. Patting Elvira’s head, he grabbed his toothbrush and filled it with toothpaste. He wanted to brush his teeth and take a shower. After that, he wanted to take a good and comfortable sleep.

“It’s not something that you should be scared of or think about. It’s really normal Umay.. you know it… I’m the Blood Alpha. It’s just normal for me to have this. Don’t mind it, okay? I will take a shower and then will take a good sleep to be relaxed. Don’t worry. I’m strong” Lain’s words made Elvira cry louder. Lain didn’t expect her to cry like this after hearing. He immediately placed the toothbrush aside and held Elvira who was crying. He gently massaged her shoulders thinking she would calm down but she didn’t. She kept crying.

“Why?... I feel like you are hiding something from me….. Why are you like this? This is not normal! I’m not a fool Lain.. you are lying to me all the time.. What are you hiding from me? Please… tell me what’s happening with you… I’m scared… I’m scared to lose you… what should I do if I lost you? I would rather die than live…. There will be no one for me… no one to protect me if you leave me” Elvira’s words stabbed Lain’s heart deep into the core. He felt the crushing sensation in his chest and he forced a smile at Elvira not knowing what to say. Her words made him restless and his heart filled with so many painful thoughts.

“You are overthinking Umay… it’s not what you think… Just relax, okay? Ignore this because this is not something that you should be thinking about” Elvira cried for a while and then wiped her tears looking at Lain’s face. She would ignore this if he was asking her to ignore this but she was not going to forgive him if she ever found that he was lying to her. Don’t let her find that he was lying to her about this bleeding. Holding Lain’s arm, Elvira nodded. She would just believe everything he says, “I will.. I will believe you now but if I ever found that you are lying to me.. I’m leaving you again… I will never forgive you if you ever dared to lie to me” Lain failed to hold his gaze on Elvira’s eyes. He looked away for her and nodded at her with a small smile. He knew that what he was doing to her was unforgivable. After forcing her to be with him and making her fall in love with him so badly, now he’s gonna leave her all alone without anyone. Moving his eyes back to her, he kissed her forehead and stepped towards the sink as he started to brush his teeth.

Lain felt Elvira was still staring at him but he didn’t dare to look at her. He was looking at himself through the mirror in front of him. He saw the veins on his forehead had turned dark. His face was pale and he was slowly changing. Seeing his own differences, Lain sighed and looked at Elvira who was still looking at him. As his eyes fell on her, she bit her lower lip and stormed out of the washroom. She was angry. He was glad that Elvira still couldn’t feel any difference from him. Even after years, he still didn’t mark her or hold a wedding for her. He knew that she wanted it badly but he acted as if he had forgotten about it and Elvira also didn’t ask him for it anymore.

Lain felt guilty. His heart was covered with guilt every time he looked at her. He felt as if he was using her for his own selfish desires. He never gaze at what her inner heart craved and desired. All he did was get what he wanted. She was a young woman. She was six years younger than him and she was just twenty four.. As a woman in her twenties, she had done too much. She gave birth to a child when she was twenty one and then she’s pregnant again. It was so painful.

She never asked for anything. She never asked him to give her anything. Glory or anything. All she asked was him to mark her and hold a small wedding according to their tradition. So he can mark her there but he didn’t do it. He failed to give it to her and he has covered her mind with lies. She was thinking that they will have a happy life for the rest of their lives but she had no idea Lain was following her only for a few more months and after that his presence will never be with her.

Clenching his jaws, Lain walked under the shower and switched on cold water as he took a shower. He wanted to have a good sleep after the show but he remembered something that he should do before his death. After he took a shower, he went to the dressing room and got dressed. Wearing a white shirt along with black pants. He left the room and came downstairs. When he came there, he saw Elvira coming out of the washroom on the first floor. She had taken a shower.

Seeing him going somewhere, Elvira frowned and stared at him for a while before coming to him. Lain pressed his lips together seeing the way she was stepping towards him with cold eyes. Her look meant that he had to go through countless questions from her. Letting out a small chuckle, he looked at her. She stopped in front of him and scanned him from the head to toe and parted her lips as she spoke.

“Where are you going? Didn’t you say that you wanted to have a good sleep after the bath?” Lain rubbed his forehead upon listening to her question. He was about to sleep but he remembered something and he wanted to do it. Shaking his head, Lain touched Elvira’s long wet hair before letting out a deep sigh. What is he going to tell her now? He didn’t want to tell her the truth and that’s obvious. So thinking about it, he smiled and decided to tell her something.

“I will go to the packhouse and be back in two hours or less. After that I will sleep '' He uttered Elvira's sigh with a complicated look in her eyes. Lain thought that she would ask him more questions but she asked him nothing. Simply nodded at him and let him leave the house after having breakfast. Lain came out of the house and mind linked Alec saying that don’t go to his home to find him.

Lain went to a jewelry store and looked at the gorgeous jewelry there. While he was looking at them, he was warmly welcomed by the owner of the shop and the man started to explain to Lain about the diamond jewelry. Lain had his eyes on the rings for so long. After watching every single ring without even blinking, he found himself not satisfied with those rings. When he was about to leave the store and go to another store, his eyes accidently fell on the jewelry set which was inside of a glass. It was protectively kept inside of it.

“Are these black diamonds?” Lain turned to the shop owner and asked. The shop owner jogged towards Lain while lowering his head with respect and looked at the jewelry set inside of the glass. Shop owner’s heart was hammered inside of his chest, he never thought Lain would be attracted to this set of jewelry but ignoring everything, he shook his head and took the set of jewelry out as he gave it to Lain to watch. Lain touched the gorgeous necklace and ring along with earrings of the set of jewelry and his lips slowly curled upwards to smile. This will be so good. This will match her.

“The blood diamond. Alpha, please go out of the shot and look at the diamonds when the sunlight falls on it” the shop owner muttered. Lain looked at the man with a questioning gaze and then he nodded at the man before going out of the shop and looking at the diamond. His heart skipped a beat. He looked at the way the black colored diamond slowly turned to bright red. His heart was completely impressed by the set of jewelry. The diamond on the necklace, earrings and the ring were not black anymore. Those were like pigeon blood rubies.

“I need this set of jewelry.. Pack it for me” Lain turned to the store owner and said. The man looked at Lain's face but he hesitated to do it. He had a forceful and fearful smile on his face. Lain watched the man's facial emotions and his eyes turned cold, he took a step closer to the man and growled, making the man jump out of the fear. He looked at Lain with horror filled eyes and parted his trembling lips to speak.

“Alpha… this set of jewelry is not for sale… this is the only set for the whole world. We have a great and long history with this diamond jewelries and it’s been more than hundred years. Please… can you select another set of jewelry?” Lain moved his eyes and looked at the jewelry in his hand. Just because he turned to the man, the sunlight had stopped from falling on the diamonds so he could see it was slowly getting back to the black color. No… he wanted this… Elvira should wear this..

“I need this for your Luna… what’s the meaning of having a great history with this when there’s no one to wear it? It’s useless. I need this. You should not disappoint your alpha… I will pay for this.” Lain said. The man helplessly nodded at Lain and smiled. Maybe what his Alpha was saying was right because someone should wear this set of jewelry. No one had ever worn those diamonds. No one knows what would be the result of wearing these diamonds. Nodding at Lain, the man spoke.

“Not only that, these diamonds have some kind of magic powers. I heard this from my grandparents Alpha… they said the diamonds were not obedient until they found their owner” Lain looked at the diamonds while listening to the man. Not obedient until they found their owner? He repeated the man’s words in his mind and then looked at him.

“What do you mean by not obedient?” Lain questioned the man.

“I don’t know… I don’t know about it Alpha.. My grandparents once said it but they never explained it to men. Maybe it was just some kind of magic. This is the main reason why I never sold this. And no one had ever asked to buy this. You are the first man in a hundred years who was attracted to this. Maybe, the diamonds chose you” Lain caressed the diamond in the ring and thought about it for some time, then he nodded at the man and spoke.

“I will take it. Say your price. Money or properties? Anything you like” Lain looked at the man and asked. He knew that this will be so fucking expensve, so he wanted to know the prince. The store owner stared at the diamond on Lain’s hands and saw it was glowing even if the light was not on it. When Lain saw the yeaoman it was just like matte but now it’s shining brightly even in the darkness but still the man felt the diamond was not satisfied yet as it waited for someone else.

“I think it has found the owner, you can have it alpha… no need for a price”Lain’s eyes widened. He stared at the man but he shook his head. He didn’t want to get anything for free. He will always pay.

“I can’t have it as a free gift. Tell me what you need” Lain uttered.

“Nothing.. You can take it” Letting out a small chuckle, Lain watched the man and sighed.

“Well, I will give you the three hotels under my name where they were located in the middle of rainforest. Maybe this will not be enough to pay the price of Diamonds but you can have it as a free gift from me just like you give this to me… see ya” Lain walked away after packing the jewels.
